Restocking fee or not?

So recently, I bought a few items from Lenovo Canada (two laptops and two sleeves). After using the laptops for a day, I decided that I didn't like them and I wanted something different. 

 

My question is, will Lenovo CANADA charge a restocking fee since I've opened the boxes and used the laptops? I haven't found a clear answer online.

What do you mean a "restocking fee"? I would ask Lenovo through a live chat or over the phone and see what they say.

 

 

Out of curiosity, what laptops did you get?

Just called them. It turns out they changed their return policy a year ago or something and there's no restocking fee anymore.

I do lots of ordering from lenovo.ca for work.

Recently i ordered a new T490s - generally i get low spec ram and ssd (or hdd) and replace them myself as its cheaper for the upgrades (ram to 12 or 16gb and 512SSD)
I realized too late (once it arrived) that this model has soldered in RAM and you cant upgrade it, i called them up and got a full refund and returned the laptop no questions asked and ordered a new one with the required RAM upfront - the only thing i said was i didn't realize and it was on me and they never pushed back at all.
