What’s the thermals like between these two?

my mates got a 280x and I was surprised by thermals today max of about 65 on cpu and gpu aio 9900k top mounted and 2 fans on front (stock) with gtx 2080ti.

could smaller cases be better for airflow as more streamlined and direct air path?

depends on the case itself. some cases yes but others no. depends on ventilation and fans as well. cheap case fans wont do well in a big case while noctua fans would help a lot in a small case.

It is said that an Italian dies every time Spaghetti is broken.

That's why I break mine twice.
