Zenfone 5z random stutters

Hi,

 

I've got a Zenfone 5z with 6GB of RAM and it randomly slows down almost like it's interface is running at 15 fps, even when I got no apps running.
When I use the "Optimize" app from Asus it starts running smoothly again, but sometimes only a restart can solve the issue.

 

This issue is frequent and drives me mad that a 6GB phone runs like crap with only Instagram running at times.

Does anyone know why this happens or how to avoid it?
