Pc won't turn on

I recently had a power outage, and the entire time my computer was plugged into a surge protector. After the power came back on, I turned on my computer and everything was working fine for about 10 minutes until it turned off completely. Now when I try turning it on, all the lights, including the graphics card, blink for a second then it immediately turns back off. I tried unplugging the graphics card only and the computer managed to turn on and stay on for a few minuutes, but then when I replugged it, it would go back to blinking for a second then turning off. Did the outage kill my graphics card even though it till lights up? Or is my psu ruined?

Ryzen 7 1700x

MSI gtx 1070ti

16gb ddr4 

evga GQ 650w gold psu

Was the network also disconnected or, at least, surge protected?

If you mean the router for internet disconnected, then yes it did but it was surge protected. Everything was connected to the surge protector but my gpu sitll seems to not be working

Nice to know your phone line is surge protected. People usually protect only from the power grid voltage spikes (by using a surge protector), most do not even know one should have surge protection on the telephone line too.

 

Can you try the GPU in a different system and a second GPU in the system?
