860 evo or 970 evo plus

Olivia Moore

Hey all. I am in the market to replace my old hard drive with a 860 or 970 evo.

I had a bad experience with the 970 evo, had to replace my motherboard, long story. So I am weary about getting another one.

Would the 860 evo make much difference compared to the 970 evo for general use and game storage? I don't do content creation, transfer large files or anything of the sorts.

Thanks for any help!

those ssd are really good, ALL products even the best in the world can have a defective one from time to times.

I would get the 970 evo but i think the 860 is also a really good choice and a little cheaper if im not wrong

the 970 should just be plug and play right? I dont have to change settings in bios or anywhere else?
