So I got an advertised internet speed of 50 down and 10 up. I got a router from my ISP, which for the pc on the ground floor, that is connected via a tp link extender via the router, works fine and gets a stable 20 mbps down almost all of the time. However, I have 2 pc's on the 1 st floor that are connect via the tp link extender (the av 500), but cuts out a lot of the time, also the speeds are always below 10 mpbs. I don't understand if it's the router that is having an issue keeping up or the extender.

Also I can't get the extenders configured, so devices connected to the network can switch seamlessly between the extenders. I gave all network devices the same name and password, when I turn the wifi on and off on my phone and stand closer next to an extender than the other, it connects to the one closest.

Does anyone have an idea as to these 2 questions?

Thanks in advance

I would try to go wired for testing, and see if you even get close to that 50 down, if not call your ISP, (or switch if you have too)

I personally would get either a nighthawk or a mesh wifi router, but you should see if the ISP is your bottleneck first
