So I've put together a basic computer i7 3770 250gb ssd 8gb ram and 600w psu

But it doesn't work and I don't know why, and I've checked all the similar posts and there is no solution to my issue, which is the lights on the keyboard and motherboard are on but the monitor is getting no vga signal so I cant do stuff, also the os isn't properly running yet it's just as a bootable drive on a connected usb, and another thing the computer isn't in the case and one more thing the light is labled STDBY.

If you have any solutions or things I could do I'm up for it I really need help

let's try a couple steps first and see where they get you

1. Make sure you check all your cables

- power to Mobo, both 24 and 8 pin, as well as to all your devices

2. Plug your video into your on-board video

- just to make sure there isn't a problem with your video card

3. re-seat your components

- remove your RAM and then re-seat a single stick, see if it boots, then try the next stick

- next check your CPU, make sure there are not bent pins in you socket that might be causing problems

4. unplug your HDD and SSD

- make sure your computer can at least boot to the BIOS

try those steps out and let us know if anything happens

1)are you using on board display or dedicated GPU?

2)check your bios for which display option is used. if you have a dedicated GPU with the cables connected and stuff correctly(dont forget the power cables for the GPU), but the BIOS is set to 'on board display', you wont get any display.

3) try removing the GPU if you have one and use the onboard display.

4) are the power cables plugged in correctly on the mobo?

if all that doesnt work, move onto the rams.
