NEED HELP CLEARING DRIVES

Hi, I have just put two of my old storage devices (1 hdd and 1 ssd) into my new computer and they still have my old info on them. I already have storage devices that I use in my pc now and would like to remove the files and whatnot from my old drives, can someone please tell me how to do it?

Right click on the start icon and go to Disk Management. From there, locate the disks you want to wipe and right click on them and hit format. When the option comes up, you will need to select GPT over MBR.

Thanks it worked, just wondering why when I saw tutorials on how to do it they all downloaded third party software and it seemed a bit more complicated, would you know why they would do it that way? Thanks again.

When you do it that way, its likely a more secure method. With the way I described, its effective, but if you use tools, you could theoretically recover some/most if not all of the lost data. But since you're going to be reusing the drives and not selling them, which is honestly never advised for this reason, then you are fine with this method.
