USB Dock extension

I have USB-C dock. And as almost every dock, it has short cable. I am looking for a option to be able to plug in dock with a extension. My question is is every USB-C cable extender will also transfer all data such as: video, data and other? I find a lot of different opinions. If only few cables can do this, does anyone have one that does what i want to do?

Get a second opinion before ya break out the credit card.
