Wine emulating displays

Go to solution Solved by Skyper100,

Now I am running on POP os 19.04, haven't had anny problem since.

edit :

If I don't count the semy dead / unstable Vega 56 card

I have recently switched from ubuntu to fedora. So here I was reinstalling my games.

Every thing working better then on ubuntu, exept in game I can not choose with display my game is displayed on, in stead I get only 1 option: a virtual display (game starts on the wrong monitor) an X11 standard display.

What am I doing wrong? I don't have a clue.

P.S. still an uber noob when it comes to wine.

how are you installing those games? are you using a program like lutris or playonlinux?

also what GPU do you have, and how many displays do you have?

I am using lutris to configure wine. I am actualy trying to install a launcher (only for windows: waregaming center). (not yet on lutris)

My gpu currently is a rx580, i allsow have a gtx1070 (trying to settup a windows vm for non comtaible games), a vega 56 in the mail.

I am using 3 monitors 1 x 27 inch and 2 x 19 inch monitos. The launcher is not the problem that I can do with watt ever I want But my problem is with the game, it allways starts on the most right monitor of my settup. I did this setup once before with ubuntu the exact same way with lutris, in that instance I got the ingame option to select a monitor. This time around I did not have to jugle with drivers (now using fedora) the problem now is that I only get th X11 display option instead of my 3 monitors to choose from.

Is my problem with drivers or with wine. At the moment I do not have a cleu where to start looking.

I can run it in 'virtual desktop mode' but that is allsow not the ideal solution because my gems gets pushed down by the notification barr at hte top. How do I pass the option trough to the program running under wine for with display it wants to runn on? When I did this on ubuntu previosly I could select my monitor.

Just set it as windowed and drag the window on your first monitor, also be sure to set your gaming monitor as the primary in the settings

In what settings do I need to set my main sisplay as primary, is it not set right in the first picture?
