Hey i just want to know your opinions about my GPU OverClock.

I have a GTX 1060 3Gb specifically the Asus Dual GTX 1060 3Gb OC edition which i think means it factory overclocked

My Stock clock is 1974(core) and 4004(memory)

My OverClocked clock is 2138(core) and 4804(memory). My Offsets are +170(core) and +800(memory). I have Not touched the core voltage slider

I have tested this for stability and so far its stable and i think this is my limit since if i use +180 for the core Heaven crashes and if i use +825 artifacts start showing up for a frame and then disappear

I have tested this on Unigine’s Superposition benchmark(1080p Medium) and it scored an 8205(stock) and a 9138(OC)

The reason i have created this post is for your opinions on my GPU OC. Do you think this is a good overclock or not?Should i change the core voltage?

superposition is extreme or nothing

run fullscreen furmark on burn-in mode and burn-in+post-fx to test power delivery, native res and 8X AA

also test it with games.

So should i use furmark for testing stability or benchmarking or both?

But the problem with superposition extreme is that it uses more vram than i have is that ok?

well its still higher its 3320/3072 i think im now regretting going with the 3gb model instead of the 6gb

Ah I see, you're stuck with Medium then, it really doesn't stresses the card a lot since it renders a less complex scene

Try furmark for stability, if the screen goes black it usually means insufficient voltage

I do 30 mins for each test to see how high the temps get, I have AMD so that's a concern, a 1060 on the other hand should run at lower temps

Should stay and watch it for 30 mins for artifacts as well or just check on it occasionally to see if it crashes or goes black?

Sorry for asking alot of questions its my first pc and my first overclock

I did one for 1 hour while i ate lunch and checked on it occasionally every 5 minutes the highest temp i got was 70C so i think its stable but when i saw the core clock it said 1822  (OC) so i set my core clock offset to stock and ran it again for 3 mins and my core clock was around 1700(stock) these measurements are from furmark and MSI afterburner But the first core clock i said in the first post(2138 OC)(1974 Stock) were from when i used unigine Heaven so which should i trust?

If the 1822 core clock is correct Do you think i should change the voltage control? if so can you link a video or a  tutorial on how to change voltage safely please? Thanks

use these settings to check only the core OC

if you check post FX it'll run at lower clocks but stress the VRAM more

yeah 30 or 1hr as u wish, btw click the "GPU stress test" button and not the presets since the presets use different settings, just fyi

Ok i did it and i got a 2062 on the core. I ran it for about 40 minutes and it seems to be stable other than some lag every 2 seconds check the video to see it

nice

and that small stutter is normal don't worry about it, 20 frames on that test is quite good btw

now that tests are done go and enjoy some games mate
