mic isnt working

i have had a cyberpowerpc for a month and i went into a game and tried to talk but my mic wasn't working

 

I've tried different mics and going into device manager and turning up the mic and it hasn't worked

 

i don't know what to do

i pluged my mic into the mic in and i can hear myself kinda

 

when i blow into the mic i get nothing but when i blow into the speaker of the headset it picks it up

i have corsair hs60 so i have a detachable mic 

 

when i plugged the detachable mic into the mic in it picked up sound

 

how do i make it so that when i plug it my headset it uses the mic as a mic because when i plug the headset with mic it only says its a speaker and nothing else
