can't connect to server

okay, had some free time and decided to try my hand at mining litecoin so I look up a tutorial and got a wallet and an account at a mining pool site, and every time i try connecting to a pool server it sites there for awhile then goes "no server could be used exiting" I put in this a mining server address stratum+tcp://usa2.wemineltc.com:3335 and I just can't connect.

 

P.S. my wallet is still "syncing" if that affects anything

im having issues today with another non-litecion pool
something is wrong with the stratum servers i think

 

for the wallet u dont need to put the serer (at least i didnt)

so what, once my wallet is synced up it will transfer it over as I get coins?
