So i recently bought the wrong addressable controller and i immediatly ordered the right one. The right controller has 2 RGB connectors, but since i have 3 componants (possible more if i feel funny) that have RGB i figured i need to improvise. So to my question: Can i use my miss bought RGB controller as a splitter? It should just pass the signal through that connector cable, right? So it doesn't need to be addressable, just the main controller ofc. I have found nothing about this but it sounds possible to my knowledge.

Thanks in advance!

Unless the "wrong addressable controller" is compatible with your LED strips or whatever you're using, I wouldn't suggest trying to use it.

It's hard to tell if you'd be able to use it or not with the limited information you gave. What addressable RGB device(s) do you have, and what addressable controllers did you buy?

Specs: CPU - Intel i7 8700K @ 5GHz | GPU - Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming | Motherboard - ASUS Strix Z370-G WIFI AC | RAM - XPG Gammix DDR4-3000MHz 32GB (2x16GB) | Main Drive - Samsung 850 Evo 500GB M.2 | Other Drives - 7TB/3 Drives | CPU Cooler - Corsair H100i Pro | Case - Fractal Design Define C Mini TG | Power Supply - EVGA G3 850W

I have a x58 Motherboard so ofc no rgb header. I bought the xspc 8 Way, 4 Pin, 12V RGB Splitter Hub and now i bought the P7-H1 because i have the P7-Liquid Cooler which has 3 rgb components. And i want to use the xspc as a splitter and not as a addressable controller.
