3D Acceleration not working

Hello,

I installed VirtualBox on a laptop so I could play games like Halo Combat Evolved on a Windows XP VM. But, every time I attempt to open the game, it crashes, saying that Direct3D acceleration may not be available. So I checked DXDIAG and it shows that Direct3D acceleration is, in fact, not available. I shut down the VM and turned on 3D/ 2D acceleration in the settings for the VM. It still doesn’t load the game, and DXDIAG still shows Direct3D acceleration as not available. What do I do?
