Active 5.1 system subwoofer rattling

I've got a Creative Inspire T6100 5.1 speaker system and the subwoofer started rattling at high settings. The cone rattles even if it's out of it's closure and I don't know what the problem may be. Could I replace the woofer with another one of similar specs?

its on its way out...coil is stretched....it will just get worse

oh i didnt catch the last question you asked...yes you can replace it....go with one same watt (rms) or even a little bigger.
