I just got a brand new WD Red 10TB drive. But upon booting it up, running it, and copying to it, I notice a sound almost as if the drive head is skipping. However, the drive is copying fine, and my windows server sees the full size and is able to write to it. But is it normal for these large drives to make these kinds of sounds while powered on? Crystal Disk didn't report anything wrong with the drive and says everything is good with the drive. So what's going on?
