Help with game crashing

I am currently playing the new RE2 game and haven't had any problems playing it with the 8 or so hours I have clocked into the game. In the past day though, I will play for around 30 min and get an error message and the game will crash (posted in the screenshot). I'm not sure why this is all of a sudden happening. The only thing I've done with my PC between today and a few days ago was download the latest driver for my graphics card. Could this have anything to do with it? In the error message, it says "not enough memory resources available to complete this operation." Is this a RAM issue? I currently have 8 GB of RAM which is the recommended amount for this game.

The memory could be on your video card. What card do you have?

I have a GTX 1060 6GB model. In the game it shows the amount of memory usage in relation to your graphics settings and I'm only using around 4 GB
