Issues with new desktop network adapter

Hey LTT forum friends,

I recently bought a new PCIe Wi-Fi networking adapter for my desktop, specifically this one.  After installing it the speed has been really bad, getting around 7 Mbps down when I'm paying for 150, and get close to 200 on my MacBook which is in the same room, eliminating the possibility of it being due to my router.  I've installed the drivers from the disc that came in the box along with their utility software, which, along with not fixing my problems, looks like it was last updated in 1990 and is totally useless.

If anyone can provide any insight here I would really appreciate it, I'm thinking of just returning the card and buying another one, but I want to make sure I try everything first before doing that.  Thanks :D

Download and install newest drivers from Asus website directly. https://www.asus.com/ca-en/Networking/PCEAC56/HelpDesk_Download/

Thanks for the quick response, but unfortunately that just gives me a PDF saying that the driving comes included with Windows.

On my link theres a tab for "drivers and tools"

Sorry, I should have specified.  After you click through there (I selected Windows 10 64 bit), and attempt to download the wireless driver, it is just a link to the PDF I linked to previously.
