i dont have the 7970, but i have the 7950, its the twin frozer II though. MSI is a great company i have a motherboard from them too, nothings ever gone wrong for me.

Basically the same card except clock speeds.

The only complaint is coil whine, but i sent it back under warranty and got one that has barely noticeable whine

Been very happy with my purchase
