So I was on eBay and Craigslist and there were gtx 1070’s for $250 USD and I asked the owners of the cards it was ever mined or over clocked or any voltage changes and if the fans were running at 100% and then they replied with no it was only used for A.I and advanced Science

You haven't actually asked anything, but I assume you want to know what that might mean for the GPU. Advanced Science could be pretty much anything, but it's most likely some CUDA workload, just like AI. Most machine learning libraries like Googles Tensorflow, support Nvidias CUDA technology which is used to accelerate workloads like rendering or training an AI. Since professional AI developers who'd run their cards pretty much 24/7 to train would use cards like the Tesla GV100, which is built with AI in mind, not a mid-range gaming GPU. My guess is that the seller is a hobbyist or student and the card has likely seen less usage than your average 1070 used for gaming.

Sorry I meant to add should I still get it for gaming since it was used for A.I and Advanced Science thanks
