So, ive asked for help in the past but no one could help me, im gonna try again. A year ago i bought a used z270f strix board, it looks great and used to work great with my 7400 for a while then it started having issues and 90% of the issues were related to boot. Bear in mind that ive changed each and every component in my pc including the case but never my motherboard. Problems occur when i turn off my pc and leave it for at least 5 minutes turned off (theres still power the led is on) and if I wont be able to turn it back on. im gonna list all the issues ive had. -Wont boot if i shut down the pc -Mostly CPU light and ram light stays on on each boot (1 each turn) -turns on, fan spin but no display - Boot to BIOS but won't detect my SSDs (but will detect my 2xm2 nvme) - I tried breadbordng my motherboard also no hope. -Even if i short the power pins it wont turn on. Sometimes it do turn on if i press the power button but most of the time it wont (9/10 no joke). sometimes but rarely the pc will turn on on its own (i wake up the next day the pc is on) My solution was to always leave my pc on and i did that for the past 4 month. i never turned it down and it works super great when its on i can overclock, work, play games. I just want to be able to turn my pc off when i go to sleep and turn it back on the next day without having to break the computer. My BIOS is updated to the latest verion and i always do windows update. None of my hardware is defected as they all work when its on exept for the motherboard i think. Please help me fix this No there is no asus support here in lebanon and no i cannot afford a new motherboard as theres an economic crisis and we are all dying here so id rather die knowing i can turn my pc off.

Hello I own a Z270 strix and for a year its been only giving me headaches. So let me start by saying it was for sometimes when i bought it then it started having problems such as booting, not turning on at all and i had all the LED on board lightning up (not at the same time but each boot could be one led). So I updated BIOS to the last version and it worked like a charm for a few month then it started having problems again and its really annoying that a board like this could have soo many problems and i cannot take it anymore I will list all the problems ive had so far and the 4 LEDS are by order on board RED=CPU Orange=RAM White=VGA Green= HDD or Boot - If boot is working board takes at least 1 or 2 min to post something (when board is on it will lit each led alone to check hardware and stay lit if a component doesn't work) - Sometimes Pressing the power button on the case will not work and screwdriver to pin will not work (I never closed my case) -If it boots theres a high chance it will not detect my SSD so i gotta turn it off and on until it works or just abandon and turn it on the next day -If im in window and I press the power button to put my pc to sleep and the button doesn't work it means that when i turn it off, it will not turn back on. -after i turn my pc off if i leave it more than 10 minutes turned off (STILL HAS POWER THO) it will not turn back on -LED's sometimes stays on for exemple the led will stay on for the cpu telling me it has a problem whereas it works perfectly and same with all the leds -LED's sometimes go CPU --- > RAM ----> CPU -----> RAM -----> VGA - Sometimes it can turn on fans wont spin and i wont get a post. However if I wait 1 minute it will try to boot and most of the time when the fan wont spin its gonna give me a red led or no SSD - It can turn on and dont post anything and wont show me any leds but the board is on and the fans are spinning I am not exaggerating one bit, I have experienced all these problems and now 2 things, first of all if i put all my hardware (cpu, vga, ram bla bla) in my Biostar h110 everything will work with nooooo problems (and the board even got a bent pin and its working perfectly). Second when I use my strix board and if it actually boots and post then its working perfectly fine i can play any games i want go in unreal engine and work and can do anything i want i have access to AIsuite and can monitor anything like theres no problem whatsoever when the board post this is why when it do post i leave it on all day scared that if turn it off it will not turn on again. Is there a solution to fix everything or i should just throw the board? Pc specs -Strix Z270F -I5 7400 -32Gb HyperX 2666Mhz (just upgraded last week I've had a Hynix 8Gb 2133) -Zotac 1660Ti 6Gb GDDR6 -480+240Gb SSD HIKVision -750W PSU (unbranded) I am thinking of getting a MSI B250 M3 Pro edition for 165$ is it expensive or good price?

So I just bought myself a new cpu and motherboard to support it and after the motherboard bios update it jus won't power up the display or usb port unless I use the jumper's. I also tried to manually downgrade my motherboards bios but the same thing happend.Please help me

I am helping my girlfriend build a rig octance, GPU renderer. I already bought: https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/ROG-STRIX-Z270F-GAMING/overview/ I have seen many images of the motherboard supporting 2 GPUs but am wondering if it could fit another and would there be enough PCIe lanes? The plan for the build is to get an initial 1080Ti and possibly another in the future. Octane is able to use scale with multiple GPUs of different types, so I was going to also include a 670 that I have gathering dust. Would this motherboard support 3 GPUs: x2 1080Ti & x1 670 or should I return the motherboard and opt for another motherboard for future-proofing in the sense I want add more GPUs?

I have minimal pc building experience but have watched a ton of linustechtips so this build will be quite the experience. When the M.2 slot is populated, one SATA 6.0 Gb/s port is disabled." I crossed in red, my understanding of SATA ports disabled when connecting the two M.2 drives. I am somewhat confused for M.2_2. Does it mean SATA5 and SATA6 are disabled and a x4 PCIE channel is used up? Can the motherboard's PCIE handle 2x GPUs, 2x M.2 drives, and WiFi PCIE adapter card?

Hello, I am upgrading my computer from AMD to Intel and I have spent the past few days looking at motherboards that would work with the 7700K I am getting. I am a content creator and a heavy gamer so I am looking to be able to overclock my CPU. I have settled on the ASUS Strix line of products, and there are 3 main boards I've been looking at, the Z270E, the Z270F, and the Z270H. I know that there is a bit of change in I/O, the E has wireless capability, the H has 2 more USB 2.0 ports, and the F is pretty basic as far as I can see. I was considering just going with the H as I require quite a few USB ports, but then I noticed it has less VRMs which if I am remembering correctly Linus said that more VRMs typically means more stability in overclocking, price isn't really a factor, but if the E isn't worth it I would preferably not spend another 30$. I saw another forum on this topic and they said it came down to what it was going to be used for, so at this point I just need a bit of advice for my specific situation.
