Recently, my Yeti X started disconnecting whenever I played back a project file in DaVinci Resolve. It does not reconnect again until I manually pull out the USB cable and plug it back in. So far, I have not managed to reproduce the error with any other app, but the Yeti is not found in the standard system settings or the Logitech app either, which makes me think that this might not be an issue with DaVinci resolve. I updated Windows 10 to the latest version, tried other cables and USB ports, and I even updated my BIOS, since I found that suggestion in an old post. I was going to revive the post, but the forum UI told me that I should make a new post instead. I linked the post below anyway. I couldn't find any other suggestions on other posts on other forums regarding the issue (except for the "new cable" / "other USB port" suggestions). Can anyone help me with this? It is super annoying. I am trying to edit a video and it cuts out all the time and plays the audio on the speakers super loudly, because it cannot find the headset that is connected to the Yeti anymore. Thank you in advance to anyone who might know what's going on! Link to the old post:

I recently got a Blue yeti x and i've been using my old Astro A50s to monitor and get audio, and now that i am not on console I want to get some studio style headphones. I currently have my eyes on the Audio-Technica ATH-M50x but i have 2 questions. 1. is the 1/4 plug necessary, and if it is what do i need? 2. could my mic handle it or would i need something like a audio interface?

Hello. I used to have the old old yeti and tbh i was pretty satisfied with it. I record my sessions with my friends over games on discord and upload them to youtube and really appreciate okay to more often these days good audio. Unfortunately it broke and when it comes to doing D&D, my vocal range is the highest in the group. I thought replacing it with another yeti (this time the yeti x as that was what was available) would work, but now i basically cant scream. The audio either peaks and cuts me off or the microphone doesnt pick me up. This is because the gain can only be set up so i have to be loud all the time or none of the time. Ive seen the RE 20 and the shure sm7b thrown around a bunch, but cant really test either. Does anyone have an opinion with their own experience they wouldnt mind sharing?

Hi There, Looking for some insight on my mic setup. I just bought a Yeti Pro but I have heard that it by itself on the stand is kind of crappy, it apparently picks up a lot of click-clacking from the keys and doesn't do as well when it's located more than 6inches away from your mouth. Since I'll be using it at my desk I can't really have it 6 inches from me because my keyboard is there. I measured and it would have to be at least 10 inches, so in front of me on the other side of my keyboard between the monitor and keyboard or to the left of my keyboard. I guess my questions are; if I should get a pop filter? And if so, which one? Also, should I get a shock mount + boom arm? And if so, which one? I have heard good things about the Rode PSA1 boom arm but it is quite expensive where I live so I want to make sure that it is a worthwhile investment or if there is something else I should be looking at? Or if I should just forget about the boom arm all together. The Radius 2 is the blue yeti's shock mount, and from research it appears it may be the best and or/only option because the yeti is so large and heavy it may not work with a lot of them. Just an FYI I'll be using the Yeti Pro for gaming and chat, I just hate having to use a ModMic by sticking 3M tape on my headphones and having to deal with the extra cord (1st world problems I know), and it's a future-proof investment I suppose. I just want to look into this since I will be using it during gaming sessions and I'm a little worried about the click-clacking and vibrations from my mechanical keyboard and mouse which is why I'm asking if a boom arm to lift it off the desk with a shock mount is worth it?

(FIXED) I reinstalled my audio drivers and that seemed to do the trick I have had a blue yeti since last Christmas and has worked amazingly for me but recently the microphone stopped working the computer recognizes it up as a device but it wont record or pick up my voice I have tried plugging my headphones into its headphone jack i could hear my voice through that but the computer still didn't pick up my voice. I also tried using a different computer and it worked just fine which leads me to believe its driver issues but I tried reinstalling the device and that didn't work

I have a Blue Yeti and I am looking to get an arm stand for my desk. I'm looking to use a Blue Radius II mount and I also want to use the arm to hold my headphones (HyperX Cloud Revolvers). So, what would fit this description?

Hi! I have been wanting to get into podcasting for awhile now and decided to inveset in some hardware, but before I spluge and buy 300-500 euro worth of tech, I want to ask you guys some questions. 1.I decided on the Blue Yeti USB, but if I have 3 people, do i need to get 3 mics or will 2 suffice. 2.If I connect the three/two into a hub, will they be a single track or multiple different tracks (audacity) ? 3.Will I need a preamp/DAC for them or is it okay to plug them directly into the hub? Many thanks!

I have been shopping for a boom arm for my Blue Yeti and have found that the cheaper ones usually don't hold up as well as the more expensive ones. Should I go and bite the bullet and get the Rode PSA-1?

Hello everyone, I just recently bought a blue yeti mic off ebay. I have an HP with Windows 10, and i was trying to record through audacity. However, when ever I talk into it, my voice sounds like a whisper, and the microphone is constantly clipping. There seems to be no fix. I have done everything on those youtube videos, removing it, and checking for drivers, however this mic needs no drivers. I bought a new mini USB cord to connect it, and i even tried downloading another software to fix it. Does anyone know how to fix?

So I recently made the purchase of a Blue Yeti microphone to take the place of my headset microphone. One thing I did not realize was how incredibly sensitive this thing really is. I have the microphone set to Caratoid, my gain is set appropriately, as well as the microphone level itself within the properties. I know there are several programs out there that are supposed to help reduce the background noise and the general hum of the room, but I cannot for the life of me figure any of them out on my own. I'm currently running my microphone through the VoiceMeeter program with the use of the VB Audio Virtual Cable. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to fix the hum I have in the background? One of my buddies compared it to sounding like I was in the back of a C-130.

Hey guys, I was looking through a lot of older posts on here about the Blue Yeti; I bought one for streaming purposes and I love using it, however the quality on the actual unit is not the best because I have it placed so far away from me, I was wondering if anyone has any good suggestions for a microphone arm for this monster of a product. Alot of reviews on products are very back and forth on if it works because of the weight of the Microphone. I am sure this has been posted before and I did look through 3 different pages but I found nothing recent on this subject. I am also looking into a pop filter, I think? The way I will be using my microphone, is going to be to the left of my head about a foot or less away from me, I am not sure if I should be getting a pop filter or a cover that sits ontop of the microphone head and covers all sides. I hear the yeti is very sensitive and I am not sure what I should be looking for when it comes to that. I have no idea if I am using the proper terminology so I will be overly clear about this; This is what I have been looking for when it comes to "mic arms": https://www.amazon.ca/Earamble-Microphone-Professional-Suspension-Adjustable/dp/B06VX1ZW2M/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1508124913&sr=8-2&keywords=blue+yeti+mic+arm I also see Shock Mounts; but I have no idea what they are for: https://www.amazon.ca/Blue-Microphones-RADIUS-II-Microphone-Shock/dp/B00TTQLA50/ref=sr_1_1?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1508124954&sr=1-1&keywords=blue+yeti+mic+shock+mount There are these pop filters: https://www.amazon.ca/Neewer-Studio-Microphone-Filter-Shield/dp/B00ACFAULC/ref=pd_bxgy_267_img_3?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=P91KD31FCM0VF3YTRV05 But I am wondering if these are better for my use, or if quality will be lower with them: https://www.amazon.ca/Mudder-Large-Windscreen-Technica-Microphones/dp/B01EMUQ08O/ref=sr_1_1?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1508125017&sr=1-1&keywords=Blue+Yeti+Mic+cover Ideally I think I will be hanging the microphone upside down depending on the length of the arm, but I have very little knowledge on this; any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hey guys! Been awhile since I've posted. But, I've started thinking about recording videos again lately. I have a Blue Yeti (silver one) and a pop filter. I understand most of the setups and such. My question is, how can I eliminate feedback from my mechanical keyboard (green switch) without buying a $100 arm stand? Can I use a full length mouse and keyboard mat to prevent feedback? I've heard of people using shirts (hell no) and o-rings. I'd rather buy a new mat than $10 o-rings. Thanks guys!

I was wondering, could I plug the USB cable from the Blue Yeti Pro into a female USB to male 3.5mm audio jack connector and plug it into the audio jack port on my sound card? Would that work or not? Because I think it needs to be plugged into a USB port for the power but maybe the 3.5mm audio jack port would be suffice? Thanks!

i've been using a blue yeti USB mic for a few months now with zero issues. plugged in using the default cable, worked the second i bought it. i haven't updated my pc, or made any changes to drivers etc.. but the mic is now undetected completely by my computer. it's getting power to the mic (the red light still comes on) but it's not being detected AT ALL. i've tried using a different micro usb in a different usb slot on my pc, but nothing seems to be working. i even did a system restore to a few weeks back, and still nothing. i even tried using the mic on a different machine running a different OS. what can i do?

There's a white noise screech in the left ear of all of my blue yeti recordings. It's super annoying. I am using the aux out port at the bottom of the microphone to hear desktop audio and to also hear myself, and there's no noise there. The noise only comes when i either: 1. Record, and 2. Call someone on discord screech.wav

Hey there fellow Linus Tech Tips followers! Been thinking about audio recently, and decided to take action today. As a strongly suggested investment by friends, I decided to purchase a blue yeti. I do not regret it, but the problem I have is software adjustments. I find this really hard and annoying to do between all softwares and other things. They just get too confusing. Now, I want to buy a physical audio adjuster, like a mixer! Specifically, I need usb mic input, 3.5 headphone out, bass etc. physical adjustments (knobs and sliders please!) and finally a single usb to my pc. I know there are many cheap audio mixers, but I need them with USB input for mic... I'm still open to any options, so here is my budget: £20-45. At the moment I don't want to spend much more.. Thank you in advance and... keep Linus-Tech-Tipp'ing!!!

Like the title says, just got a blue yeti and when I plug it in I can't get it to work. I have been working to solve the issue for a few hours without result. Have tried the guides that I have found on youtube and stuff. Windows troubleshootings says that nothing is wrong. I have it selected as the default input device and windows shows it as working (see image) but stuff like discord, audacity and OBS don't show it as working. I hear my own voice in my headset but it. I have tried restarting my computer and also reinstalling discord but still nothing. Any help is appreciated Also sorry if there is some bad grammar and the text is badly stringed together, not a native english speaker and I am fairly pissed off

I find it really hard to find an arm for my blue yeti (like topic says I live in Sweden). So... Anyone living nordic region and know where I can find this? I guess ebay is my last resort because I don't think the import fee is to much. I also need a pop filter? I don't know what it does but it should be easier to find. I play competitive Overwatch so it's important that my calls are heard when I speak all the time. Atm it's placed about 20 cm away from my mouth on a pullout table from under me.

Soo, I have a Blue Yeti microphone. It has worked for about 3 months. Suddenly today I started my computer and the microphone wasn't working right, it made wind noises. I checked the cable it was connected, tried it on other computers and nothing seems to work. What could the problem be?

My Blue Yeti Blackout was working fine but now suddenly windows no longer picks up the audio, i've tried different cables, restarting pc, deleting and reinstalling drivers, different USB ports. It works on my laptop but not my desktop. device is set to default recording device everything is turned up to max volume on it in hopes that it would be picked up. currently running windows 10 version 1803. It was working on it previously but suddenly it is not now.
