Hey all, It's no secret that modern AAA Xbox games are huge [insert COD jokes here]. Pair that with consoles having 1-2TB of storage, or just 360GB on the Xbox Series S, the storage really fills up quick. Is it possible to combat this by connecting an Xbox One / Series console to a form of mass storage? This question sounds pretty dumb and all, but whether or not this is possible really interests me. -Nicole

Is there anyway to use a xbox one in dev mode to run code like a jupyter notebook server?

This fits into "hobby" in my mind because it was done for the fun of it and I consider tinkering with electronics a hobby of mine. (But if it's the wrong forum feel free to move it?) Saw the latest video mentioned a Xbox Series S PC case mod coming up and wanted to style/dab a bit with an "Simpsons did it" of my own. My album with descriptions of the mod I did to an basic xbox one console. PC case, PC Power supply, water cooling, RAID stripped HDD. https://imgur.com/a/EZuso Also, I know the video and output of the one LTT does is going to blow mine out of the water. In my defense I don't have a sweet workshop like they do.

My over a year old Xbox controller wired (PowerA) stopped working out of nowhere. Just yesterday it worked flawlessly, I enjoyed some Forza Horizon 4, but today I booted my PC and the power light on the contoller didn't turn on. I tried every USB port, even another system but it does not want to turn on T-T Anything I could do? Or is it done for... Also I did not drop or did any physical damage to it T-T

Hello, I would like to ask if anybody has problems with an Xbox one controller connected through bluetooth to a Samsung tablet (S6 Lite). It just started with the ghosting the controller is updated and it has no problems when connected to the Xbox, also it works just fine when connected through USB to the tablet. Does anybody has a solution to it? Thanks, greetings from Chile.

So for last 5 days Im having having Issues connecting to xbox party chat. When I join or someone joins me it just keeps saying connecting forever. There is one person I can join if he is alone than others can join and it work then there is another one who I can join but whenever anyone else connects I start connecting forever. I actually have a weird network setup, I have 2 routers set in bridge mode and my ISP does NAT for me. He is also forwarding ports I need for xbox and I asked him recently if he did not change anything about it. My xbox says my NAT type is open, but I dont believe it, the issue feels like NAT issue. I tried factory setting for my xbox, for my routers, I updated everything. And I did pretty much every troubleshot advice I could find on internet. So anyone has an Idea what could cause it. My ISP does not know what to do. He always tells my to tell him what to do and he will do it. So i will appreciate any advice Thanks

Hello forum, So im thinking of buying a controller along my pc and i have decided to getting the Xbox One controller (white version) while i was browsing my countries eshop i stumbled upon a "Microsoft Xbox One New Controller" and was told by my friends that it is the same thing as the Xbox One S controller. My question is weather this controller is compatible with a PC because even though the site says it is compatible with xbox one, pc and tablets running Windows 10, some friends told me that it may mean that the controller can only charge on the pc and not be able to play on it. PS. I would also like to make sure that the "New controller" is the same thing as the "S controller" Here is the link to the controller and sorry if you dont understand anything you are not obliged to waste your time trying to figure what it says http://www.public.gr/product/microsoft-xbox-one-new-controller-heiristirio-leyko/prod8220695pp/ Oh, and sorry if this is the wrong place to post this

Source: https://www.forbes.com/sites/paullamkin/2017/03/02/microsoft-confirms-xbox-one-vr-headset-incoming/#66e9ab32ea67 It has been rumored for a while now but Microsoft seems to have finally confirm a VR* headset for the Xbox. What's with the asterisk? Well, Microsoft keeps calling this product a "mixed reality headset". “We’re also excited to share that Windows Mixed Reality experiences will light up on other devices over time, beyond desktop and Microsoft HoloLens. Our plan is to bring mixed reality content to the Xbox One family of devices, including Project Scorpio, in 2018.” So, the product would probably launch alongside Project Scorpio, which is Microsoft's upcoming Xbox that will support native 4K rendering and HDR in 2016. Considering the kind of power that Project Scorpio is supposed to have, this means that Microsoft could probably build a headset comparable to the flagship VR headsets by HTC and Oculus and have them preform on par with those afore mentioned headset with high frame rates. They might not have to tone down the specs the way Sony did with PSVR with its single 60hrz 1080p pannel (I think that is the spec but don't quote me on it) However, the biggest question as with all of these products is the price. Hopefully Microsoft will be able to price the Xbox and the headset at a competitive price that is a little cheaper than the flagship pc headsets. I think that would be very interesting to see. I'd like to hear other people's thoughts about this. Was there a big point that I might have missed. Don't hesitate to reply.

So, I have my own rig that I play games on with an r9 290. It works pretty well, and for a long time I was using an xbox 360 controller on it since I find I like using a controller over a mouse and keyboard setup (console pleb at heart, I know.) The PC is a living room pc so I opted for a wireless reciever and a wireless xbox 360 controller. But eventually I got tired of the 360 controller and wanted to upgrade. I tried out a ps4 controller via bluetooth for a little while but was always getting bad latency issues, so I replaced my crappy bluetooth USB dongle with a better reviewed one. This did not help, so I figured the issue was using controller input was making my latency worse, so instead I decided to buy an xbox one controller and connect that via bluetooth. I tried that out for a while and at first it worked great, but now I am having similar issues, either latency, or the controller just disconnects. So here's my question: is this the fault of my bluetooth adapter? If so, what is the most cost effective and elegant way to get bluetooth on a custom built PC? Because as things stand now, my bluetooth in my macbook pro is wayyyyyy better than any kind of bluetooth I have ever tried with my custom gaming PC. I bought a G drive 1 TB 7200 rpm usb 3.0 hard drive for use with my xbox (it seemed the most reputable brand since it actually gave hardware specs) and it formatted and installed games just fine. The only problem I've had is that the hard drive will power up with the console, but the console will rarely actually discover it. I've had to get up and physically disconnect the usb cable and then reinsert it, which normally wouldn't bother me, except that I recently suffered a back injury, so this is less than ideal haha. It seems that the operating system doesn't "listen" for the external hard drive on boot up, and because the drive doesn't send a connection signal after first boot up the xbox essentially "goes deaf" to its presence until disconnected and reconnected. The solution I've found so far is to change a setting in power preferences to keep the external hard drive on at all times, which seems to make the xbox recognize that there's a hard drive attached at boot, but is inconvenient in terms of drive lifespan. Has anyone else had this problem or found a solution?

I bought a 12 month live Gold subscription for my xbox one, but my question is if that subscription can be use by the other user in the xbox? Meaning that if I have gold my brother would have gold too if we are in the same microsoft family. Please Help!

Is it safe to buy this? http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Microsoft-XBOX-ONE-S-Battlefield-1-Bundle-500-GB-White-Console-Gaming-Games-/201773302333?hash=item2efaa0423d:g:cSkAAOSw9GhYbbUn... Or any other console on eBay. I live in Argentina, South America and prices are very high (at least for the Xbox One S), so I thought about eBay as a good idea. Including shipping and tax, it's still cheaper than buying it here. I'll appreciate every advice.

So I was looking at the transistor count of my CPU and I went on Wikipedia and the skylake CPUs are not very high up there and the only reason the apple chips and Xbox chips have more transistors is because it's an SoC which means the CPU,GPU and maybe more are in one chip but how come older chips have more transistors (I know some server chips and xeons would have more but some are 22nm and the skylake is 14nm so isn't it that the lower the nm the more transistors?) Thanks

In what can be looked at as a great way for trying out new games through the Xbox One and Windows Store, Microsoft is rolling out a program for a new Self-Service Refund policy. From an article on Hexus: http://hexus.net/gaming/news/industry/104593-microsoft-offer-xbox-one-windows-digital-games-refunds/ So the terms of this appear to be that gamers would be able to change their minds on games purchased within 14-days and having a total gameplay limited to less than 2 hours across devices. Of course, DLCs, Add-Ons and Season Passes are excluded from this policy and if Microsoft feels that someone is abusing the program, they reserve the right to restrict access to the Self-Service Refund system. Hot Hardware's Article stipulates that the program is currently only rolling out to 'select Microsoft Insiders' for the time being, however, this may be a great way for Windows to follow Valve's lead and create a system for people to try out new games as well as expand their online store. http://hothardware.com/news/microsoft-offers-self-service-refunds-on-xbox-one-and-windows-10-games EDIT: To expand onto this a little bit further, I guess the program can't please everyone, especially some of the smaller Game Dev companies... According to a WCCFTech article (so of course grains of salt may apply) the group at The Chinese Room (Dear Esther, Amnesia) feels that the self service refunds should not be based just on the number of hours played, but should instead operate on the games completion. http://wccftech.com/the-chinese-room-xbox-refunds-bollocks/ This does raise an interesting point/question, should your refund be based on whether you enjoy the game or not or does it make sense to compensate the game devs a bit as well for their development time and costs.

Xbox Scorpio vs Cheap PS4 Pro vs EVEN CHEAPER Xbox One....what do you guys think?? EDIT: I have more friends that play xbox than playstation but I am very sure that I could find people I know who play playstation, also i am kinda impartial to exclusives

I've seen mixed reviews of many different headsets online as far as which is the best. Price tag is not a big deal but I would like to keep it around or under $300. Mic is also necessary. The 3 that I am looking at is the Astro a50's, Steel Series Siberia 840's and the Razer Man O' War's. One other thing that would be nice is an additional 3.5mm jack so I can have some music playing in the background while gaming or if this is possible to do via Bluetooth or something of that nature that works too! Finally they do need to be compatible on PC and Xbox One. I've added a poll with the 3 noted headsets I noted before but if anyone has any other suggestions feel free to let me know and i'll add it to the poll! Thank you all
