I know there is a mount on the case but my card gets too close to the glass panel and it will effect performance. Looked into Phanteks Vertical GPU mount but it may require case modding. I would like to stay away from case modding. If anyone knows a vertical mount that will suit my needs please help me out!

I was wondering if there is any down sides to vertically mounting my gpu in my case. I have a Asus ROG strix gtx 1660 ti in a Fractal Designs Meshify S2 case and i am water cooling my cpu with a thermaltake aio. I have 2 fans on the botttom and three on the front of the case as intake and three fans at the top and one in the back of the case as exhaust.

I'm planning a build using a 3060ti in the Corsair Cyrstal 280x, but I wanted to vertically mount my GPU but I am not sure if this 4 slot vertical GPU I found on amazon mount will fit within the case let alone hold the GPU without bottom fans https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08KRRT64X?tag=pcpapi-20&linkCode=ogi&th=1&psc=1 this is the vertical GPU mount so if anyone has this config or can do the math for me could this fit?

Hi guys! Does anyone recommend any specific vertical gpu mount for the Corsair 4000D airflow, or should I just use this? https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07XS5Z4BX/ Im planning on mounting my gpu vertically, but I don’t want to take any chances for it to sag and break. Thanks in advance!

Hello, everyone, my first post here interested in the ideas or tips about my problem. TLDR: I have a gtx 970 itx repasted recently and it runs at 60C in the mobo, and runs 75C in the vertical mount. No sidepanel, basically open air situation. My preveous GPU-s performed the same in both situation. This ITX puppy runs +15C if i flip the pc case on the back and the gpu gets into vertical position. If i make the case stand up and the GPU go horizontal again it takes 20sec to get back to 60C under full load. So, I got a used Gigabyte 970 ITX that needed a repaste. I did and temps were worse, turns out wrong thermal pad thikness. Okay redo with thinner pads, temps are still higher, redo put in mobo, the temps are way better. I am proud, reinstall the card into the vertical mount and temps are screwed and the exact result from 2 repastings ago is present. I troubleshooted every other component around it. And at the end i realised it is basicly the reason behind the temp difference is the GPU orientation compared to mother earth basically. Can gravity effect gpu temps so heavily. Because by no other factors changing, only tilting back the pc case 90 degrees to lay flat on the table, the temps jump +15C in 10 sec and it is happening the other way around as well. Lately my best gess is the heatpipe drieout, but how is this happening only in vertical and at a 60C load? I have attached the cooler on a picture, so maybe can someone explain or have any idea what can cause this. Thanks in advance i have hope in you guys.

Hello, Short story: I have a Phanteks p360a, 1080ti with arctic xtreme IV (3 slot down 1 slot up), ASUS PRIME X570-P. The gpu dos not fit the top pci slot and the motherboard manufacturer forgot to disclose on their page that their bottom PCI 4.0 16x slot is wired only as 4x. So my gpu runs at pci 3.0 4x, hence a bottleneck. The stock 1080ti cooler was an msi armor (only fit for a 1070 standard in a freezer and one of the fan died on top of it) so I would like to keep the xtreme IV. My solution would be a vertical bracket. Does anybody know any vertical bracket that could fit this weird sized gpu? (1 slot back 3 slot front) Thanks for the help in advance.

I am making a build with a Corsair ICUE 4000x case and I was wondering how well the GPU airflow is with a vertical mounting. My GPU is a ROG Strix 3070 Ti, its a pretty thick card but should fit in the vertical mount slots for the 4000X. Will I have any issues (especially airflow) with the card vertically mounting or should I opt for normal horizontal mounting?

I'm looking to try out vertical gpu mounting with the O-11 Dynamic. I realize that Lian Li have their own vertical gpu mount for this case, but would I also be able to use 3rd-party gpu mounts just fine?

I know there's a dedicated Lian Li vertical GPU bracket but are there any alternatives? I can't seem to find one locally. Here are my options: https://www.amazon.ca/DEEPCOOL-Graphics-Extension-Installation-Applicable/dp/B081Q6NVW9 https://dynaquestpc.com/products/tecware-vxr-vertical-gpu-mounting-bracket-w-pcie-riser Anyone tried using them? Or any suggestions? Thanks

I'm currently looking up and buying parts for my Christmas gift to myself this year. My first Custom loop water cooled PC. At this point I got most everything figured out. Except for what I want to house it in. Preferably I would like to have a vertical GPU mount, which obviously cuts down on the possible options a lot. But I would like to see/show off my rbg EK waterblock. Before someone mentions it. Yes I know of the Hyte Y60, and for some reason I cannot find a Canadian retailer for it that either a) is charging $400+ for it, or b) Doesn't ship it from the US. and I'll be damned I'm gonna pay some stupid over priced shipping despite is being on the same damn continent. And with the mention of money. My budget for the case is around $200 USD, basically the price of the Y60

I've seen this pictures of people modding their Air 540 to showcase their graphics card vertically. I've already done some modding on this case with a Dremel so I'm not opposed to getting a bit dirty again. Assuming I want to use the space to the left of the PCI brackets, what would I need to acquire to be able to securely mount the graphics card there? For context, this will be in a custom water cooling loop. The block is a bit heavier than a regular air cooler. Also, welding or soldering is pretty much out of the question at this point. Any recommendations?

Hi all, I'm planning some mods for the upcoming rebuild of my watercooled PC, and I seek your advice on material choices for the mod described: Im going to be building a vertical GPU mount to replace the pcie slots on my Lian Li PC-O9. Id like to basically build my own version of CoolerMaster's vertical gpu mount. I already have the bracket from MountainMods, and the riser cable. What type of aluminum or steel should I get for the best workability? My main tools are a dremel and a drill. Id like to be able to bend the metal to mount it onto the cases original pcie slots (Ill be cutting out the horizontal bars) I'm aware that there are different alloys and grades of the metals, so does anyone have any experience with ones that worked well for them? Thank you!

I'm having a hard time finding a case that matches everything I'm looking for. I'm really set on a case that has a psu shroud, vertical gpu support, and a tempered glass side panel for under $200usd. Preferably mid tower or full size with decent water cooling support for dual 240-360 rads. I had high hopes for the cooler master h500p as it checks all of these marks, but from every review I've seen the case is a bit clunky and just not well executed. If only fractal would implement vertical gpu support, the meshify c would be a no brainer , although it does seem easy enough to add vertical gpu support by just making a few cuts on the back (would rather not have to mod a case). Anyway, I know it seems like I'm asking for the world, but these seem like pretty popular features that should be prominent in more cases. If anyone has suggestions or experience with the cases below please let me know! Here's what I've found so far Thermaltake Core x71 Never been a huge fan of thermaltake products, but this is nearing the top of my list AZZA Storm 6000 Not familiar with this brand, psu shroud only covers the top Thermaltake View 27 Another thermaltake, not a fan of the plastic gullwing side panel

I'm trying to look for gpus that are good aesthetically for vertical mounting, one that looks really good for me is the Aorus rtx 2070/2080 which have leds on the fans. Any other gpus that have similar designs as this one?

The beginnings of a new venture Snow wolf was built for encoding first, gameing second. The case is a thermal take core p3 Mother board Gigabyte b450 auros elite Amd ryzen 2700x 3.6ghz base clock 32gb 3200 MHz momery Asus Nvidia GTX 1660 ti 2tb HDD for games and other large files 120gb boot sata SSD Corsair cx450 power supply (it's what I had lying around and it had enough wattage, can you blame me) There is a lot of space for a future custom loop and plenty of opportunities to upgrade the first planned upgrade is a second HDD and replacing the boot SSD with a M.2 SSD for faster boot times any suggestions are welcome and might possibly be added to the list

I'm gonna be ripping out all my watercooling and moving my PC into another case for air cooling and I want some suggestions for airflow config. I'm going to be using the Lian Li O11 Dynamic and I know that I'm definitely going to have 3 intake on the bottom and 3 exhaust on the top, but I'm not sure about the side setup. So at first I was going to have a 360 AIO on the side and pull intake but I realized that my LL120 fans will be facing away which I don't want because the fans in that position are the most visible. Instead I'm deciding to do AIO and push exhaust on the side so that I could still have the AIO on the side and show the nice side of the fans. In THIS part of HardwareCanucks' "9 fans in O11 Dynamic" video, the difference between using exhaust and intake for the side AIO isn't much of a difference so I think this will be okay. Also, since the bottom fans of the case will be blowing straight into the GPU, would it be a smart decision to vertical mount the GPU so that the air could get past? Basically I want to know if my fan config idea is a good setup, and if vertical mounting would be a good idea here. All help is much appreciated :).

Hello, I have the Lien li O11D case, a MSI rtx 2070 Gaming gpu and the x570 tichi. For thoughs of you with the same case and a vertical gpu bracket, how much space do you have between the backplate of the gpu and the chipset? The problem with this board is that the chipset is right in font of the gpu when having the gpu on the first slot. Mine is currently mounted horizontally in the first slot. So I don’t have space for the fittings. It would be nice to find a vertical bracket that can fit some fans and a slim radiator while still giving some space for the chipset block and the fittings. Thank you

Hi there. I'm building a new system. The components are as follows: Ryzen 7 2700x 16gb ddr4 Aorus x470 gaming 7 WiFi Zotac gtx 1080 ti amp 480gb ssd. I'm having a hard time choosing a case that can accommodate a vertical gpu. The only case i can think of right now is Lian Li pc 011. Any idea is appreciated. I'll probably use a CPU AIO water cooler for the CPU.

Hi Experts, Can you suggest a good vertical PCIe bracket to mount GPU similar to CableMod Vertical PCI-e Bracket - HDMI + DisplayPort - BLACK. I did some research and found that CableMod has best in the industry vertical PCIe bracket but it is out of stock at this moment. It would be great if anyone can somehow confirm if the same product is going to be available in the upcoming 2-3 months, I can wait. Rest of the vertical brackets will either make me cut the plates between expansion slots which I don't want to do. I've got a beautiful Fractal Design Meshify-C White TGE which unfortunately does not natively support Vertical GPU Mount. ? Please let me know if you've any other suggestions to make it happen without cutting and Screwing anything.

Hi, Anyone was thinking about putting vertical gpu mount in Antec's Eleven Hundred V2 case in place between extension slots and front case? Cutting its way into vents where two water cooling gromets are? I have replaced original front acrylic with plain one - without cooling fan mounts - and I think there's enough space to mount it far away from front panel to allow for air flow, but actually far enough from extension ports to have them completely available as well.. Any thoughts? Thanks in addvance

Has anyone tried to put a GPU on the Fractal ARC MIDI tower vertical Extension slot? I saw the case earlier and the guy was selling it for only $10. Is it possible? I have PCIE riser extenders available, asking if it's possible.

The p500a has a 3 pci slot vertical mount, but based on it's location, do you think a gpu would be too close to the glass, and starve it of air? Should I just mount horizontally? Phanteks P500A
