Hi All! Complete newbie here. So I wanted to build my first PC, did my research on pcpartpicker and already ordered everything yesterday. Now I wanted to read the manuals ahead of time so that I would have all the knowledge I need when building. So I first started with the motherboard looked for the model webpage (MSI MPG B760I EDGE) on msi and while being there, I opend the compatibility tab. Now under "memory", I wanted to look for the model that I ordered which is "Corsair Vengeance (2 x 16 GB)", but I didn't find it based on the model number, which in pcpartpicker is labeled under "Part #". (CMK32GX5M2B5200C40) So i'm wondering, how come this is the case even though pcpartpicker showd no compatibility issues? and is this actually a problem, or can I still continue using this model and hope for the best when building?

Hi, Hope you're all well and safe. I got a new set of RAM sticks (Venegence RGB PRO SL 3600 CL18) to upgrade from my Ballistix 3200 CL16. Ever since those were installed, I installed iCUE in an attempt to control the RGB but ever since then, my entire PC has freezing every few minutes. I had a similar problem in March which was fixed by closing NZXT CAM and it has stopped doing it till now. I've changed the RAM back to the old set, deleted iCUE and all traces of Corsair software but it continues to happen. Failure Process Video/task stutters and then freezes start menu does not shut down or restart PC Power button does not work Power supply needs to be shut off from the switch Tested Solutions: Reinstalling Windows without removing apps or files Reinstalling drivers for GPU, bluetooth & displays Event viewer but nothing is caught by it Memtest - no errors Malwarebytes - no software It won't let me restore to a point before iCUE was installed No repairs suggested by Windows, no updates Nothing has been installed since iCUE I have opened a support ticket with Corsair and looking for solutions meanwhile System Specs AS OF NOW: 5600X NZXT 240mm AIO B550I STRIX - Not on the latest BIOS as my riser is Gen3 SSUPD Meshilicous GIGABYTE VISION 3070 FHR 32GB CRUTIAL BALLISTIX 3200MHZ CL16 1TB SN750 SF750 RAM that caused the ISSUE: 32GB 3600MHZ CL18 Would like to hear any solution to this annoying issue

Hi, As the title mentions, I have a Corsair ONE i160 and I want to upgrade the ram, however I am not sure what is compatible with what and if it is possible? I was thinking of getting VENGEANCE® LPX 64GB (2 X 32GB) DDR4 DRAM 2666MHZ C16 MEMORY KIT. If there is anyone that can help with this matter I would greatly appreciate it! Hi. I just had an update for MSI Dragon Center, and I no longer have mystic light control over my Vengence RGB settings, can anyone help?

I currently have a computer with an FX-6300 paired with 16GB of corsair vengeance RAM and an EVGA Geforce GTX 950 SC. I have been noticing some slowdowns as far as my games are concerned. When playing games like GTA V, I notice that my GPU is sitting right at 60% usage and my CPU is pegged. This leads me to believe that my FX6300 is bottlenecking my GTX950. What I am planning to do is in the next couple of months, upgrading my CPU to an AMD FX-9590 and overclocking it to 5GHZ, and pairing that with an H100i. Adding another 16GB of Corsair Vengeance ram (I do a lot of virtualization) and upgrading my EVGA Geforce GTX 950 SC 2GB to an EVGA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti SC 4GB. I just wanted to know whether an FX9590 OC'd to 5GHz would bottleneck a 1050 TI. And I do not want to hear anything about Ryzen. I do not have the budget for that.

I recently built a computer with an Asus Prime z390-A motherboard and Corsair Vengence RGB Pro ram. The aura sync software does not recognize the ram and I cant seem to find a driver or a solution to sync my rgb component. Has anyone had a similar problem or know the solution?

Hi all, looking for an easy guide to overclocking some Ram I bought this week : 32GB (2x16GB) Corsair DDR4 Vengeance RGB PRO Black, PC4-28800 (3600), Non-ECC Unbuff, CAS 18, 1.35V, AMD Ryzen Optimised I'm running this on a gigabyte ABN 350n board (I think!?) and I know I can set a custom xmp in bios but wanted to know if anyone is using this ram and what they set it at? please be gentle I'm not overly Windows savvy thanks in advance for any advice

Let me just start off by saying that I unfortunately did not take any pictures of the horrible mess that was covering the aluminum front plate of my keyboard or the mess that was covering the internal pcb, I wasn't sure if my attempts would prove fruitful so I neglected to document it at all. Given the chance to do it again I would have made some type of video going over the process. In the past few months a good friend of mine and myself have been experimenting with making our own alcohol, completely legal where I am from as long as you don't use any type of distillation process. While adding some sugar to one particular blend I had been making I forgot that when you mix sugar into a solution that has active yeast in it there will be a sudden expansion of gasses and it will bubble in whatever contain you have it in. Unfortunately for me these bubbles overflowed though the mouth of my funnel, which had about 60 grams of sugar in it. and coated my keyboard in it quickly shorting out everything it came into contact with. I did what any other person would do, borrowed a friend of mines keyboard while my new one was being shipped and happily went about my day. It was about a week before i got the idea to try and save my old keyboard. I purchased it from a friend of mine in school shorty after it was released for 50 bucks, he thought he was getting one of the rgb versions instead of static red, and it was my first mechanical keyboard. Watching Lukes video about fixing his old keyboard gave me the push i needed to try and fix it, after all what could go wrong? So I blindly began to take out all of the screws i could to get the frame separated, I was nearly ready to admit defeat when I couldn't locate the last two screws, this was my first time taking apart a keyboard and I was too stubborn to look up a guide before I began, so with the internet as my weapon I searched for the answer. Now I understand having to work around certain engineering aspects of how something is put together, I worked at a factory that had twenty to thirty year old machines still running and would often have to find screws and fasteners put in the most ridiculous places, but why would you put a screw under your logo on a product that would have to be removed for any type of maintenance or thorough cleaning by the user? The second screw (located under the right metal cover of the volume scroll wheel) makes perfect sense to me as that can be removed easily and without damaging the rather thin piece of metal. With the last of the screws out of the way the rest of it was actually pretty simple, pull the plastic back-plate free and there you go. I ran into a speed bump when I realized the metal body of the keyboard couldn't be removed, to the best of my knowledge it looked like the key switches were attached to the body itself as well as the pcb. Not stopping there I took some 91% rubbing alcohol and some cotton pads and began to clean the back of the pcb as well as I could, with the back cleaned I reassembled the keyboard with four of the screws and filled the keyboard with as much of the alcohol as I could. I let it sit and soak for about 30 minutes before I tilted it on its side and began to let alcohol run though the keyboard and drain out of the bottom. I repeated that four or five time before I took it all back apart and zip tied it to my shower curtain rod to air dry. It took about 3 hours before It had dried to the point I felt safe putting it all back together and firing it back up, and what do you know it works! I've lost some of the creature comforts the board had before, things like the mute button dose't work the brightness button dosen't do anything and the button to illuminate only WASD the space bar and arrow keys is equally as unless. Aside from those few things the only side effect I can notice is several of the keys stick and are harder to push than they were before the sugar volcano erupted on my desk. I thought about using WD-40 to fix it but have read several conflicting articles, some say that it wont hurt anything at all while others insist that it will degrade the plastic of the keycaps as well as damage the pcb. If anyone has any suggestions about how I can remedy this I would welcome the input. I hope whoever reads this enjoyed the tale, and like Luke pointed out don't be afraid to take apart your broken electronics to see if you can fix them.

I've just built my first PC. I did my research and ordered the parts. Everything seems to run fine except for the ram. The computer consist of a Asus M5A97 R2.0 motherboard, an AMD FX 6300 Black Edition CPU, a XFX R7 260x GPU and Corsair Vengeance Pro DDR3 2133 Mhz, which is a 2x4gb kit. In the bios it seems that it's using up the 8gb of ram but the speed rating is only 1333. My motherboard is supposed to support 2133Mhz but only when the ram is overlocked. I knew that the system would dumb down the speed but I didn't know it would be that much. SO the questions are! - Can i get my ram to a higher speed? - Will it take overclocking to do it? - Has anyone had similar experiences? Appreciate answers and will comply whit more info if it's needed.

Hi Guys, So this is a little quick build I put together after seeing some of the really good reviews and comments about the Intel Pentium G3258 chip. The build isn't build to be overly powerful and if I would ever to actually build it, it probably would be used for a secondary/test PC or a media box. Whilst deciding parts I kinda decided I would stick to a small theme with the brands I used, after looking I ended up going for a Corsair/Gigabyte style build with obviously an Intel 1150 socket CPU. Full list of kit below: Intel Pentium G3258 CPU which costs around £50 Gigabyte H97-WiFi ITX Motherboard which costs just under £100 4GB Corsair Venegence 1600mhz which costs around £30-40 Corsair Hydro H55 CPU cooler which costs around £50 Gigabyte GTX 750ti which costs £100 Corsair Builders 430w PSU which costs just under £40 a 60GB Corsair Force LS SSD which costs £35 and finally the Corsair Obsidian 250D ITX case which costs around £65 add about £10 for Velcro straps or wire ties for the cable management and this build comes to £475. I'd say its quite a nice system for the price, and although areas could be made cheaper I think the quality of the kit would make up for that. Would be really interested to see what everyone has to say or think about it?
