She takes photos and videos a lot, browses, uses facebook etc. 256GB would be better but I think 128GB is fine. Also she likes bigger phones, I think 6.1" would be good. We would like to go for something cheaper. I write down here what iPhones are available and how much they cost. What is the best value for money ? iPhone 11 128GB - $587,15 iPhone 13 128GB - $710,92 iPhone 13 256GB - $843,32 iPhone 14 128GB - $843,32 iPhone 14 256GB - $972,55 iPhone 14 Plus 128GB - $972,55 iPhone 15 128GB - $973,13 iPhone 14 Plus 256GB - $1 102,61 iPhone 15 256GB - $1 102,61 iPhone 15 Plus 128GB - $1 102,61 iPhone 15 Plus 256GB - $1 235,16 (I did not mention Pro's and SE's or iPhones with 64GB)

My fathers desktop pc recently stopped working and he wasn't able to fix it and neither was I. Unfortunately we aren't very familiar with all the factors of what makes a good desktop pc and so I wanted to ask for him if these two pre-build desktop PCs are good value for the money relative to his usage. HP Pavilion Desktop M01-F1108ng B-Ware HP Pavilion Gaming DesktopTG01-2008ng, Gaming-PC He used his PC for all basic things but mostly home office and gaming. For home office he is not in need of a lot of processing power. In terms of gaming it's a mixed bag but I don't think he needs too much power either because the game he plays the most is World of Warcraft though occasionly he would play something else like subnautica or control. Visual fidelity isn't as important as performance for him. For the budget he told me that he would like to keep it between 700 and 1000 euros. Also incase it is important somehow we are from germany. If you could help him find a good pre-build desktop or verify if the two presented ones are good value relative to its price it would be wonderful because I want to protect him from paying too much for something less valuable. Thank you for your input in advance.

So currently my friend and I are in an arguement as he just built a pc with a i3 9100f and the processor cost him £70 and he keeps saying why would i spend twice the amount of money to buy an ryzen 5 3600 for £160. Which is better I know that the AMD processor cost 2.5 times more. But in my opinion it is better value for money. Which one do you think it better?

Hey there guys, I am currently looking for a good tablet for light media consumption and for looking at lecture notes and jotting down stuff in class. My Budget is very tight as I have blown all my money into buying the alienware 15 r3 . I am looking for something thin, light and portable while having good battery life and usability. It would be even better if I could use some sort of stylus for it so that I can jot down notes in class. I don't mind buying second hand. There is this guy who wants to sell me his ipad mini 2 16gb for 135 bucks. Is that a good deal? If no, what do you guys recommend?

Hey Guys, I am new on the block, so please be kind. a few months ago I finally upgraded my old system and treated myself to some better parts. I am in college so money doesn't grow on trees for me. However, my GF started to take my PC hostage a larger amount of time each week, so I was thinking about building her a system using my old parts. She basically only plays Sims 4, but who knows if I can get her into some other stuff down the road. The list you see below is what I came up with for now. The parts with prices are the ones which I would have to buy. I know Ryzen CPUs give you some pretty neat options at the moment, but that would of course also include upgrading the Motherboard and RAM which would bump the price up significantly. The parts I was considering would still give her the option to upgrade those in the future. What do you guys think? I think 380€ for basically a fully functioning PC is quite a good deal, or am I missing something very obvious? Thanks in advance for your advice. Hi there, Friends recommended me this forum for the very useful guidance in tech matters. As the title mentioned, I'm looking for a smartphone between €200-250 in Belgium. Since 2014 I'm using the Motorola Moto G 2nd gen, but unfortunatly the battery is no longer functional (the battery no longer charges and no sign of life is given when the usb cable is plugged in). Additionally the lackluster 1GB of RAM and the outdated processor caused some frustrations when applications froze on a frequent basis, as such a replacement is needed. I would describe myself as a light to average smartphone user, as I mainly use my smartphone as an agenda and reading mails, browsing the internet such as reddit, 9gag and instagram. Occasionally I watch youtube videos and take pictures mainly for chat messages. Currently I have identified Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite (4GB RAM, 64 GB memory) in the price point I've mentionned above. Do you guys reckon that this is a good and durable phone {It has to survive at least as long as my now dead Moto G 2nd gen }? Alternatively what would you guys suggest instead? Kind regards, StivII

Hey there! I've currently got a decent computer that's around 5 years old at this point. For specs it consists of: - i5 4690k @ 4.20 GHz - BeQuiet! Slim Rock cooler - Gigabyte Z97-D3H Motherboard - 8 GB 1600 MHz RAM - EVGA GTX 960 SSC - 240 GB SSD / 1 TB HDD - Corsair CX500M So I'm wondering if its better to just upgrade RAM / GPU or if I might as well get a new PC and reuse hard drives and maybe power supply. Any help would be appreciated! :D

The release of additional iterations of intel's i3 and i5 coffee lake CPUs (i3 8300, i5 8500 and i5 8600) sparked much controversy due to their price points. The consensus for this controversy was that there were better valued CPUs in the same categories as the new iterations (i3 8100 and i5 8400). Recently there has been a great reduction in the prices of the less than loved iterations however the prices of the beloved remain the same. Figures below I'm curious why the prices of the new releases have gotten such a significant reduction in such a short period of time, while the initial releases who are months older are still close to MSRP. I understand that lack of sales drive prices down but the comparative performances of the initial releases and their counterparts are negligible to say the least. Why then do they exist? Is this the first time Intel has created "improvements" with negligible performance differentials in such a short space of time with an unjustified initial price gap followed by a price drop that brings about confusion and buyers remorse for patrons of the initial releases? The congruent answer would be.. "It doesn't matter", "I'm happy with what I have" and "I don't care..." understandable... Why then do they exist? why would you buy the 8400 when the 8500 is right there.... then what purpose is there for the 8400? Why do these exist...?

With the release of the i3 8300 and its improved performance over the i3 8100 (8 MB SmartCache over the 8100s 6MB, the ECC memory support, the added PCI Express Configuration and the .05 GHz increase if the Graphics Max Dynamic Frequency) is it a better budget CPU option than the r3 2200g? Is the 8100 a better value than the 8300 or was the 8300 just a filler? The ryzen 2200g does sport an iGPU but does the %10 difference in compute performance between the 2200g and the 8300 make that useless ? your thoughts... http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/AMD-Ryzen-3-2200G-vs-Intel-Core-i3-8300/m441832vsm484077 2200g and 8300 comparison http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/AMD-Ryzen-3-2200G-vs-Intel-Core-i3-8100/m441832vs3942 2200g and 8100 comparison http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i3-8300-vs-Intel-Core-i3-8100/m484077vs3942 8100 and 8300 comparison

The i3 8300 has often been considered to be a "waste of time and money" based on its price to performance ratio. With the recent price drop of the i3 8300 and a performance comparison with last years i5 7600, is it really that bad? thoughts. Currently and for a limited time there is a sale on the r7 1700 ($70 off) which brings it down to the price range of the newer r5 2600 and r5 2600x. The newer models of ryzen have improvements in their IPC, max clock speed and precision boost technology when compared to last year's models. The r7 1700 however does have a higher core count and better multitasking capabilities which are both good for heavy workloads. At this price point which one is the best value for the money.Your thoughts. Hi guys i am austin, oops i mean hi guys i am jonathan i was wondering if there are any cheap yet packed with feature 'camera' currently looking for those so called point and shoot camera or 'vlogging' camera that i can attach a flexible mic that can extend up to a car length? and provided the mic isn't too big either something like Linus always uses when he is hosting the show (clipped on his shirt) dont know the exact term for it, am in need of such weird contraption because i am working for a car agent and from time to time we need to record evidence of the sound/condition of the car when such incident happened (i dont think i made sense here) of which the customer complained. Example of the scenario here is , we need to aim the camera at the speedometer to record the rpm and speed at the same time we need to record the screeching sound from the rear of the car which is coming from the brake drums and we would like to route a mic to the back (need a flexible mic capable of 3.5m jack connection).

So I'm looking at a new fully modular power supply & sick of crazy power bills on my old Tx corsair 750 bronze, now I'm using it flat out for school & some games. Building a new high end z170 with a single 970 gpu. Is the extra spent worth, in the long run, power savings as its platinum? Other suggestions? Or am I on a winner?? Thanks. P

Introduction Hi all, it's been a long long time since the last time I build a PC, and now I believe the time as come for me to build a new one. It's not my first build, in fact, it will be my forth build for personal use. Problem is the last PC I build was eight years ago. Things have moved, and I feel old. Windsor core Athlon 64 anyone? Holeesh*t they've build a cpu under 100nm! And before that, it was the Duron (wonder if anyone still remember them) and I'm rocking a TNT2 M64 with a whoppin 32MB of ram, because I couldn't afford the full 128-bit card. So yeah, I kind of need help from others to verify my planned build, hope that's allowed here. The read-before-posting questions 1. Budget & Locations I live in Malaysia, the currency is Ringgit(RM). I do see Malaysians here but not much, so I'll be converting to US$ for easy reading, hope that's fine. My budget is RM4,000 (US$1,100) for almost everything, further explanation will be given later. It's not a fixed budget as lately the Ringgit drop in value a lot, it used to be US$1,250 equivalent, and yes, pc part prices shot up. 2. Aim 50% Gaming, 30% text-based activity, 20% graphic base activity. PC should last 6 years, probably minor upgrade in 3 years. For games, I mostly play relaxing/slow pace strategy, sim or turn based games, such as Civilization, Tropico, Sim City, XCOM, Flight Sim, Eurotruck. I do play fast pace games, mostly racing, or FPS if I can get them for free (Metro was free). I never play game competitively. Text based activity includes surfing the web and coding. I expect the PC to run multiple instance of Visual Studio, a few SQL server of different version, and probably IIS, at least for local code testing. For graphic base work, I'm an amateur photographer, so I kind of want at least an IPS screen with decent colours for editing. I do not print my photos out, so it doesn't have to be that good, just good enough to edit photos so others can see it on their screen. 3. Monitors One. I might want to add more, but if I do that I'd need to move to a new place and if I can afford that, I can afford an entire new PC. So, one. 1920x1080 should be enough. 4. Peripherals I need everything that I will be listing down later, I just need a second (or more) opinion. 5. Why are you upgrading I've been using a laptop since 2012 January. It's still usable, but it's showing age, and I need more. I could just buy a newer greater laptop, but I love building PC and I'm just giving myself tons of excuse to do so (eg, desktop has better value for money). Also, the Witcher is coming. Parts I won't be using pcpartpicker because it's not available in my country, and I can't find a lot of the brands in Malaysia either (eg. Can't find EVGA stuff here). Price are as of typing, likely go up considering the crappy economy now. What I already have: Coolermaster GX750 PSU - I got that 4 years ago preparing for a crossfire setup, then life fell apart. It's not great, both Jonnyguru and HardwareSecret says it's more like a 600watt 80+ psu, but hey, still has 1 year of warranty and it works, why waste? 1tb Samsung Spinpoint - Can't remember if it's F1 F3 or F-whatever, will use this for storage for now. Hyperx Cloud - My budget gaming headset Logitech G27 - My gaming gear, not in use now, laptop screen too small. What I need: CPU: i5 4460 RM625 (USD173) Cheapest of haswell-refresh quad core processor. Some argue i3 is enough, some argue why not K version. I picked this one for a stable, long-life, value for money workhorse for the next 6 years. MOBO: Gigabyte H97N-WiFi RM425 (USD118) Yes, a mini ITX build. I live in a small apartment where every inch of space is precious. Picked this mobo because it came with Wireless AC, bluetooth, and works with haswell refresh without needing to flash the bios. Might not need the Wireless AC now, because I don't have any AC router, but hey, 6 years. Bluetooth that I need, and adding in the features, it's not much more than a B85 itx board. Memory: 2x 1600MHz 4GB DDR3 module RM270 (USD75) Just any regular RAM module like Linus mention in one of the videos. I do not plan to overclock (except gpu?) so don't really see the point of heat spreaders. Unless I'm missing something... Storage: Adata 120GB SP610 SSD RM240 (USD66) I'm skipping the Kingston V300 because of what you guys posted, the next cheapest is this, hope it's good. Case: ThermalTake Core V1 RM180 (USD50) It's the smallest ITX case that would fit a non modular PSU with space left to hide all the extra cables, also, up to 285mm for gpu length. GPU: Sapphire R9 280x 3GB Dual-X RM880 (USD244) Ah... one of the dilemmas. I want good value, but this is hard. I only game 10 hours a week, so electric bill on less efficient card is minimal. What worries me is putting a 280x in a mini-itx case. The Sapphire is a special case as well, other 280x goes for RM1,000-1,230 ($277-340). R9 285 goes from RM890-1050 ($246-291). GTX960 goes for RM850-1,000 ($235-277). GTX970 goes for RM1,200-1,550 ($332-429). Lower end of the price usually from brands like Palit, Leadtek, Sapphire; High end of the price are from Asus, MSI, Gigabyte. Monitor: LG 23MP65HQ 23.6" 1080p RM570 (USD158) I've seen it in store, your regular commodity matte screen IPS screen. I do not need 144Hz refresh, and I don't really "need" something nicer for now. Part of me think I should increase budget and get the Dell U2412M, 1920x1200, extra 120 pixels for text while coding is nice. Both have around 97% sRGB. Can't afford 100% sRGB screen. Keyboard, Mouse: Logitech K270, M545 RM158 (USD44) I've been using a cheap wireless Logitech mouse for the last three years, never felt like it's slowing me down. I actually prefer it over the previous Razer Krait I used to own, I just don't like wires. For the keyboard, I'm not so sure. I've been using Dell/HP/Lenovo Keyboard for work for many years and they are all regular keyboards. I like mechanical keyboard, but not sure if I really need one yet. Speaker: Logitech Z120 (or anything similar) RM59 (USD16) I have a headset for anything that need higher quality sound, I just need a USB powered speaker for everything else, unless if I manage to find a monitor with build in speaker. Operating System: Windows 8.1 OEM RM368 (USD102) I'm debating getting OEM or FPP license now. Or who knows when I actually go out and get one Windows 10 will be out by then. Total: RM3,775 (USD 1,045) I'm within my budget, but something seems off. I'm not sure if everything seems balanced or not, but at least I tried my best. Do you think I should add a little more and get a 1920x1200 screen? Or upgrade to a mechanical keyboard? Or is the budget better spent on higher quality SSD or maybe top up and get a better graphic card? Or just go with what I have in mind now? Decisions decisions decisions. Expected to build between March and June.

Hello guys, I'm struggling to make a budget build work for 1080p gaming.. and since I only play Hearthstone, Diablo 3, League of Legends, and some weak steam games like Binding of Isaac, Hitman : Blood Money, Hitman : Absolution, Civ 5 etc..I don't think I need too much money for this. I've been looking and looking till I finally settled down on a build. I wanted first to gather money and to make a 1k PC gaming rig but there was no reason to wait for so many months and If I do this build, I'll be quite happy with myself. I'm not quite convinced by my PSU choice since I don't quite know really much about PSU's. There are some things that I have not included and I will explain to you why later. CPU : AMD Athlon x4 860K 3.7ghz GPU : MSI r9 280 PSU : Corsair CX 430 80 + Bronze Motherboard : Asrock FM2A88M RAM : 8GB Corsair Vengeance 1600ghz Case : CM Storm Scout II CPU cooler : CM Hyper Evo 212 Ok, so many of you may have wondered why I didn't include a CPU cooler, an HDD or an SSD. I don't know the budget yet but I'd say 450 MAX. I'm afraid that with the r9 280 it will bottleneck but I'm not sure yet so I need your opinion on this, and that the PSU is not enough, these are my weak points of this build, if my r9 280 will bottleneck or the PSU is just not enough. I thought that the 750Ti is also good and that CX 430 is just enough for it but i thought that giving just 40 pounds more for a r9 280 is worth. I do have an HDD, so I'm just going to use that for now, it's a 500GB hdd, it might sound weird but 500GB for me is even more than I need. I barely even save files on the PC. I do have peripherals, I so an LG 22 inch and have a pair of Razer gear for my keyboard and mouse. Last, I do think I went too overkill with the GPU but in the future, since I'm gonna upgrade, I'm gonna leave the GPU, Case, PSU, RAM, and just upgrade CPU and motherboard, therefore leaving GPU for last and all the other stuff. I'll be playing EXCLUSIVELY 1080p and I don't think I'll go for 1440 or even 4K ANYTIME SOON. So yea..

Heya Guise! After getting into the audio game with my ad700x's and Fiio e10 with great recommendations from @h264 I'm really enjoying the wide soundstage and airy feel of them, suprizingly good for gaming too. Though for out and about use I was looking into getting some earbuds/IEM's, just for listening to tunes out walking or not having to packup my headphone setup every time I go to my fathers. Some Criteria: My budget is around the $100 AUD mark give or take a few postage or pickup availabilty within mebourne. I'd like for them to wrap around the back of my ear Low profile so I'm able to ley on my side with my head against the pillow without discomfort If there's anything at http://www.noisymotel.com/ that'd be great, they're really good to deal with and their postage is free Cheers!

Hi guys, Can u please suggest a rig around 2000USD or less if possible I'll be suing this build for Videoediting in after effects -45% 3D modeling and animation(learning)-30% Gaming-25% I also plan for overclocking. also I know that GTX780 has signifiacant increase in preformance over GTX 770 in terms of gaming but will it give any performance increase in terms of videoediting and 3d modelling work is it worth the extra ?? for my scenario ? Please provide the wattage required for the build that u suggest(I'm grey in matter of choosing psu). Thank u guys.
