Budget (including currency): ~30 000 SEK Country: Sweden Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Witcher 3 Hogwarts Legacy Resident Evil Cubase 12 Guitar Pro 8 FreeCad Other details Looking to build a smaller PC, unlike my current build with a Fractal Design Define R5. My concern is my chosen case. I was thinking about using a Cooler Master NR200P Max with an integrated PSU and AIO CPU-cooler. The PSU is at 850W (V850 SFX Gold 850W), do you think that is enough? I have tried different online PSU calculators and get a lot of different answers. Some say that 850W is enough, some say it isn't. What do you think? What is your general take on the chosen parts below? Good/bad? My monitor is a Samsung 49" Ultrawide, 5120x1440p. Resolution and image quality is more important than FPS in games. I appreciate all suggestions. What day and time is WAN Show live in Swedens time zone? Are they usually on time, if not, when is the real time of the broadcast (again in the Swedish time zone)? Is it a good idea to order in the beginning of the show if you want them to answer your Merch Message-question?

Is there someone else that can't update their iOS right now? Me and my family has been trying all day on our iPhones but we get an error message saying that the servers can't be contacted and a "Try again" button. Anyone else having the same issue? Does Apple have servers in Sweden so can it be local to Sweden? iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone XR.

(Is there anyone Swedish here who has ordered from LTTStore? How was the experience with shipping to Sweden? How long did the delivery take to arrive? Were you able to track your order? Did you have to pay import fees? If I order for $100 USD, what will the total cost end up being in the end?)

Budget (including currency): Around 15000 Swedish Kr Country: Sweden Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mostly for games such as: Overwatch 2, Forza Horizon 5, AAA titles and some VR games. Other details: I want to upgrade bc my pc that I have rn is really slow and can't run most games on the higher settings (It has a GTX1050 & Intel core i5-8400...). I have all the other stuff to the computer like a good mouse, keyboard, mouse pad, headset and a monitor that is running at 1080p 165hz 0.5ms response time. Also I would prefer to have Windows 10 or 11 on the new pc.

Hello! I was thinking, and in my future upgrade of my current pc I would like some more color and rgb lightning. So what do you recommend buying, keep in mind that I live in Sweden where the new rgb RAM hasnt been released yet... I have gotten this far: link. I want that m7 motherboard and keyboard/mouse wont change, the soundcard is needed for my speakers system. The kaby lake is just if I feel like getting it while im buying. So what do you think? Anything you would change out for me? Isnt it so that if you have a 4-pin fan the fan color will sync the color the motherboard currently have or what is the purpose of 4-pin? I have the fractal design r5 so 140mm fans is a requirement.

A little while ago a presentation by the Swedish government was shown in how the school and education can be digitalized. The two main focuses will be on programming and education in source reputability. The government explained that they though this was a good way to approach how students technical skills can be increased. The Swedish minister of Education said: To sum up what this means: Mathematics: Year 1-3: How one-way-interpretable instructions can be constructed, described and be used as a base for programming. Year 4-6: How algorithms can be created and used in programming. Also programming in visual and various environments. Year 7-9: How algorithms can be created, tested and in improved for mathematical problem solving. Tech: Method for developing technical solutions: Year 1-3: Ability to control objects with programming. Year 4-6: Ability to control your own constructions or other people's objects by the use of programming. Year 7-9: Build your own constructions where you apply steering and control, including the help of programming. Learn how digital tools can be a good support in the field of technical development such as blueprints or simulations. Technical solutions Year 7-9: Find technical solutions that benefits electronics and how they can be programmed to do so. This has to be implemented in the schools before July 1st 2018. My own opinions and ideas about this First off, this is clearly a step in the right direction. The world gets more and more digital for each day passing. People need to know what programming is from a young age in order to be able to meet the demand the future (most likely) holds when it comes to programming/coding. Te be taught more source criticism is more important than ever before with so much fake news spreading across facebook and other media. A lot of people take it for granted what they see is true, but unfortunately a lot of the time, it just simply isn't. In practicality I would guess that in grade 1-3, you're just messing with some form of robot and the most basic programming. I've never tried it, but I've seen robots etc. more or less having pre-built programming environments where you can drag and drop movements and such in order to "program" it. This would probably be the best was to implement it to the youngest children that has to do this. My hope is that this proposal means that you're being taught a programming language in grade 7-9, I don't really care if it's Java, C++, PHP, Python or anything else, as long as you don't spend your whole elementary school copy/pasting movements and sequences and believe that that's the most fundamental programming there is. Problem solving in math is always helpful too. Where I think this may have a backlash is with the kids having hard times either around theoretical subjects or just math/tech in general. It seems like most students dislikes math and a few have a really hard time with it. Introducing (I assume) more math is probably not going to help here. Same goes with tech. If I look back to my classmates that I had during elementary or high-school, I can tell you right away that there would be a big portion either not interested in tech/programming or that just would struggle with it. Perhaps it'll solve itself by being introduced at a young age, that everyone, boy or girl, has the ability to further increase their technical skills and abilities. What would be good but at the same time not is if you'd have 2 directions. One where you go with this new teaching and one where it more resembled the one we have now. As I again assume that a lot of people would struggle with this new stuff, having it 9 years in a row instead of as something you choose at high-school or college level might be tough. If you could in one way or another choose if you'd like to go the tech or non-tech version would be cool, but also deciding at an age that young, is never a good idea. What's almost most interesting in this entire idea is where will we get all the teachers for this? Looking back at when I was in school a few years back, there's only be a very small set of teachers I deem able to learn to teach this kind of stuff, for the lower classes. Currently I'm not aware that Sweden is overflowing with skilled programmers that wants to go teaching, so where will we get all? Open up a tonne of quick-line educations that in one year makes you a fully capable programmer? It's not my problem to handle, it's just very interesting to see how it'll be handled eventually. What do you guys think? Is it too early? A bad idea? I'd like to hear it all. It's recently come to the attention in Swedish media that the Swedish central bank "Riksbanken" is looking to try and launch their own digital currency. This would be an addition to the current SEK - Swedish Krona (English: Swedish Crown), most likely the name would be the E-Krona (English: E-Crown). Their hope is that this currency could be launched within 2 years from now. Sweden has (as probably most other countries) seen a big decrease in the use of regular physical currency. This move is particularly interesting as Sweden is currently in a state of changing its current currency, to new notes and coins. This change is currently ongoing since 2015 and will be in place until mid 2017. You can see pictures of the "new" notes and coins in Sweden below. To give my opinion on this, not really sure what to think. As much as I'm for a new currency, it also worries me. Since it's all electronic and computer made, there would be a possibility of malfunction in the beginning before it really gets going. This could potentially be harmful to early adopters. The other thing that puzzles me is how it will be used. Will you be able to use it with a credit card as you do now, just that you can't withdraw them as notes in any possible way as you normally can with an ATM, or will it be some sort of currency that lives within your computer and smartphone only? If so, will it require internet access to be used to pay with? How will online stores implement it and will you be able to use it outside of Sweden? A lot of things needs to be cleared up, but generally this is exciting. Let me know your worries, toughts and questions below Sources Thedigital.se - Sweden could soon have its own digital currency Newsbtc.com - The Central Bank of Sweden has announced plans to introduce its own digital currency in the next two years. Very strange thing to look for i know... My fiance lives in USA and will for a few months more until she moves to Sweden with me. Her laptop crapped out and needs to find a new one. It's one of our main ways to do stuff together while we wait. So, since she's moving to Sweden she wanted a Swedish keyboard on the next one she owns. I've been trying my darnest to find one. I expect it's impossible without having it shipped from Sweden. Is it even possible to find one in USA? Do anyone here have an idea where?

Hi! I am in the process of building a new gaming rig after a long pause from pc gaming. 1. Budget & Location Around US $1050 (9000sek, I live in Sweden) 2. Aim I want to be able to run titles like The Witcher 3, Batman: Arkham Knight and Far Cry Primal on high/ultra settings with at least 60fps average. I will probably OC. 3. Monitors/Peripherals I already own a monitor (1080p) and peripherals so it won't be included. Current Config: (List of components and the prices available here in Sweden.) Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z170X-GAMING 3 CPU: Intel i5-6600k CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo Motherboard, CPU, and CPU Cooler can be bought as a bundle - $399 RAM: Crucial 2x8GB DDR4 2400MHz Ballistix Sport - $77 GPU: Sapphire Radeon R9 390 Nitro 8GB - $304 PSU: Cooler Master V 750W - $106 SSD: Samsung 750 EVO Series 120GB - $64 HDD: WD Blue WD10EZEX 64MB 1TB 7200RPM - $64 Case: Antec GX500 - $59 Total: $1073 I would like your feedback regarding the components I have in mind for the moment. Do you see any components that should be switched out? Are there any cost effective alternatives? I had some concerns regarding what PSU I should choose seeing as I would like to overclock my cpu and gpu. Is it overkill? The r9 390 seems to have a high power consumption from what I've read. Greetings from Sweden!

There are waaaay too many threads about Assassin's Creed: Unity right now so how about something else? Sexism and gender equality in gaming is a big thing these days. So big that the Swedish government is now investing 272,000 SEK (36,672 USD) into labeling games as promoting gender equality. This project was inspired by the Bechdel test. The project is far from finished though. Right now it is not even decided if the labels will be put on all games developed in Sweden or if developers will have to contact the authority, get their game tested and then be assigned a label. When asked if Anton Albiin thought focusing on diversity could harm creativity he responded: When the project is done (couldn't find any dates) we here in Sweden might see stickers on games saying "promotes gender equality" on games that promotes female characters. Similar to how you today can see ratings telling you if a game contains violence. Source: The Local My thoughts: I really really hope that it's based on the Bechdel test because that test is so ridiculously flawed and broken we would get some hilarious ratings. For example the game "Senran Kagura Burst" (a game where high school girls fight each other and have their clothes ripped off) would pass, but Minecraft would not. Games which are truly gender neutral will probably not end up not passing this test since they are not promoting female characters. Games like Goat Simulator which is as gender neutral as it gets (in terms of protagonists) would end up not getting the label because it is gender neutral and this project is about promoting women. This is why I am so against anything that is related to a specific gender. You can't say you fight for equality and then create a label specifically to promote one gender. Treating the genders differently (with things like this new rating) only creates more inequality, not less. This might also become a slippery slope. If one group see special treatment then other groups might want it as well. If women get a special label why shouldn't different races get a special label? How about a label that promotes Asian people? Maybe one that promotes homosexual people? I don't see anything good coming out of this. It's not a huge amount of money to invest for the government, but I am still kind of pissed that over 36,000 dollars of taxpayer money is being spent on this since I don't think it will lead to anything. Might as well have flushed the money down the toilet.

Hello LinusTechTippers, I can start by saying that I know quite a bit about computers. And I do know which components fits with each other.. But what my classmates and I can't agree on.. Is what should I buy between X99 or Z97. I'm in my second year on a technical education with information and mediatechnic orientation that contains a lot of javascript, HTML and CSS.. So I think I'm going to read as an engineer on the university after I'm done with my 3 year long education in high school. So by february 2015 when I'm turning 18( ) I'm going to buy a new computer.. Because I'm so tired of my Asus gaming laptop because it sounds like a wind turbine. So the big question is if i will use 6 cores (I would like to buy the 5820k if I went for X99), when I'm programming java, html or css. And also some hobby photoshopping, adobe premier and cinema 4d etc. But whether I go with X99 or Z97 I want to go with a GTX980. So if you guys can give me some good arguments for X99 and Z97. Will I ever need the 2 extra cores? I guess that X99 is the most "future proof", but it's a hard decision.. Pick one of the two chipsets and please help me put together a sweet build. - 5820k or 4790k. - At least one 980, maybe two in Z97 if the budget permits it. - Maybe water cooling on the Z97 chipset? - Two SSD:s on 120gb each for Raid0. - I'd love a NZXT H440, just because I love it like everyone else. - I have a 144Hz screen atm from AOC. I'll maybe get a ASUS Swift soon, because of G-sync. As you may have noticed, english is not my native language since I'm from Sweden..

I'm so unbelievably excited that I'm going to go to the world's largest LAN party on my birthday ! of course the LAN party itself and my birthday being very close together is total coincidence but it's still awesome. Well things just got more exciting.... It started with a tweet from AMD asking if anyone was going to a LAN party soon, I chimed in and the next thing I know AMD's community manager, Sam is sending me 4 6600K APUs and a bunch of gaming swag to give away ! Anyone else going to Dreamhack this year ? & do you guys have any tips on how I should give these APUs away ? (Random, questions, etc...)

I live in Sweden and I am gonna buy one of these for my gaming computer that I will build. Witch one do you think and why? and what edition? Edit: Now there is an offer that gives the ASUS Radeon R9 280 3GB DirectCUII TOP for 1000SeK less than 280x Xfx/gigabyte edition. This is 145,87$ and 109,08Euros.

According to Swedish laws, ISPs has to keep logs of what their customers are doing for at least 6 months. However, back in April this year the EU court found their own data retention directive invalid on the basis that it involved "wide-ranging and particularly serious interference with the fundamental rights to respect for private life and to the protection of personal data". When this was announced, the Swedish ISP Bahnhof not only stopped all logging but also deleted all their old logs. The Swedish Post and Telecom Authority (PTS) that are in charge of monitoring digital communication such as the Internet decided to not go after Bahnhof at the time. However, PTS has now decided to ignore the EU ruling and has told all ISPs to continue to monitor their customers. Instead of complying, the CEO of Bahnhof has now reported himself for breaking the law and he plans on taking it all the way to the EU court if necessary. The EU court is the highest authority in EU countries and can overrule local laws. Since they have already found their own ISP data harvesting law invalid they will most likely find the Swedish law invalid as well. . (Bahnhof's CEO Jon Karlung reporting himself) Source (in Swedish): Bahnhof's website As a Bahnhof customer, I am so pleased by this. This is not the first time Bahnhof is in the hot seat for not logging their customers and I think this is how all companies should act. Customers trust companies with their private information and the companies often hand it over to some third party (like the NSA) without putting up a fight. It seems like Google, Microsoft and a few others have started to fight back more and I hope this is a trend that continues.

Ouch, this one is gonna suck. So it is reported that TPB cofounder Peter Sunde has been arrested. They can't seem to take down the site though...
