Hi, I've been running into some issues with SteamVR after installing my new Ryzen 9 5900X processor. My system will remain normal while in SteamVR playing any games like SkyrimVR, Blade and Sorcery, or Half-Life Alyx, but after about 40-60 minutes, my system will crash with the BSOD code Whea Uncorrectable_Error. At first, my system was on Windows 11, so I downgraded to Windows 10, which didn't fix the issue. I have also tried wiping my entire drive and installing Windows 10 again, but this didn't make a difference. I have used the CMOS button on my Gigabyte X570S Aorus Master board to reset my bios because it previously had to be underclocked due to my cooler not being strong enough to cool my processor down at the time (during which my system never blue screened). I bought this CPU and Board as a replacement without much thought and I had Best Buy put it together at Geek Squad after my previous board had failed. My computer, when doing anything else that is not related to Steam VR, is perfectly fine and will only crash once I get into VR with Whea Uncorrectable_Error. I have ensured that I have the latest Bios, which has made no difference. I have run stress tests on my processor with Prime95, which had detected no issues in any of the 12 cores and there don't seem to be any temperature problems either. I have also looked online and found stories of people having problems with AMD software while in Steam VR, but even after downgrading to 2021 drivers, my system will still crash. I do not know what they did exactly to my CPU, but I did notice that 6 of my 12 cores were missing while I was in Ryzen Master. Assuming that was the problem, I started MS Config and unchecked the "Number of Processors" box, which made the other 12 appear. This made no difference. I'm wondering if there's something that I'm missing when it comes to the 5900x and SteamVR as I've done everything I can to make sure that it is running at stock settings, but it seems that this has led to my system crashing whenever I get into VR. When I replaced my cooler, reset my BIOS, downloaded the latest X570 chipsets, and ensured that each core is running, this is when it started crashing in VR. Edit: I have managed to narrow down when exactly my system began to blue screen while in VR, and it was after I installed the Noctua NH-U12A cooler. I do not understand why this would have any affect on VR specifically as my temperatures in VR are perfectly fine (Around 60-65 degrees C)

Hey guys so around a month and a half ago I upgraded to windows 11 and have had zero problems and actually liked it until now. Earlier this week I received the HP Reverb G2 and was excited to use it until I ran into issues with steam VR. It was crashing at almost every game and the games that loaded had bad performance. This is after me changing some of the settings and runni8ng them on a PC that has an RTX 3070 FE and a 5600x as well as a NVMe SSD and ample cooling. After consulting the HP Reverb G2 subreddit, it sounds like Steam VR isn't compatible with Windows 11 at the moment and my best course of action is to try to go back to Windows 10. I was wondering what the best and easiest way of doing this is without loosing all of my files. I've never done something like this before and I'm terrified that I might loose some of my game progress, recordings, mods, or ending up having to reinstall every game I have on my P.C right now (a lot) all over again. I'd really appreciate any advice or guidance for this cause I really don't want to screw this up and mess up my P.C.

So I just recived the HP Reverb G2 today and set it up and it worked perfectly... in the windows home environment. When I tried to launch beat saber, HL: A, and B & S, they all froze, and then boot me back to the Windows home. Games like MSF and Tetris Effect work just fine since they6 seem to not require steam vr to run but so far everything that's on steam vr I can' play. Does anyone know what's wrong and how I can fix it. I already updated my GPU driver and updated by BIOS for windows 11 but it still wouldn't work correctly. Hi! I bought an ASUS Gaming Computer from NewEgg in November 2020 with the NVIDIA GeForceTX 3070 already installed. For the first month or so, I used the computer for VR gaming with the Steam Valve Index. Not knowing much about VR, I plugged in my monitor to the Intel built-in display driver, but I plugged my headset into the NVIDIA GeForce graphics card. All worked fine... for 30 days. After experiencing multiple issues, I tried updating the graphics card driver using NVIDIA GeForce experience. Again, things worked fine for a couple days, but I now get absolutely no signal to my VR headset, although the USB connection seems to be working according to Steam. Today, I have my monitor plugged into the GeForce graphics card hoping it might work again, and it does work for my monitor HDMI connection with pink/purple dots and dashes all across the screen. Using it right now, albeit with a bad driver) 2) Uninstalled the NVIDIA graphics card, NVIDIA GeForce Experience program, and NVIDIA Audio Drivers 2) Booted into Safe Mode and ran DDU per this article and then restarted the machine 3) Reinstalled drivers with GE Force Experience Nothing working. Anytime I try to launch a steam game while using airlink, the game never loads, I just stay at the AL dashboard. Even if it renders in a window it's never in the headset. I've tried reinstalling games, steam, steam vr, and oculus software, checked if it was up to date, added launch options like "-vrmode oculus". All to no avail. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. it's driving me insane. I;d like to know what the kink in the system is if possible.

Wondering what the best for full body tracking. My gpu is the gigabyte eagle rx 6700 xt and I would be playing Vr chat and racing games through steam vr. If you know any better headsets feel free to let me know. Thanks!

Anyone know of a good way to stream games steam vr games running off an oculus rift. I tried using obs and all i get is a black screen. I tried shadowplay however I got a capture of 2 eyes rather than one single view. My specs are: Ryzen 7 1700 Oced to 3.9GHz. 16 GB ddr4 3066MHz GTX 1080 sli (x2)

It contained exciting new details of valves shiny new VR controllers. EV3 brings many improvements over EV2 with an improved strap, a stronger trigger spring and better reliability, a recessed system button (with the number of times I press the home button whilst playing games like beat saber, this is a much welcome improvement), increased battery life now lasting up to 8 hours to name a few. EV3 will be produced in "much greater quantities than EV2" and they will be sending out more kits to developers so maybe we will be seeing these controllers come to marked very soon!

I'm having a weird issue with my samsung odessy+ headset controllers in steam vr games. i have never changed anything since i got this headset and now my controls seem a bit messed up where i cant move with the touch pads or move well with them anymore. My game example is that in Arizona sunshine i need to use the touch pads to sprint and move but the touchpads are just super inconsistent where i might sprint or i would walk at a really slow pace. i have been using the anolog sticks to move in that game instead so its not so bad except that i cant sprint with analog sticks since clicking them just opens up the steam overlay for both analog sticks. in Pavlov Vr i cant sprint at all or even use the tough pads to move even tho the tutorial tells me to so i cant progress in the tutorial. i cant even reload my guns since it uses the touchpads to drop the magazine. Both touch pads don't work in that game for me so it makes it unplayable. i can only go move around in that game using the analog sticks same with Arizona sunshine. Moss is the only game i haven't had any issues in. I have reinstalled wmr for steam and steam vr but the issue persists. if i check the controllers in the steam overlay to test them it shows everything working properly even the touchpads show presses and accurate finger placements. i have checked online to see if this is a issue with people but cant seem to find anything like what im experiencing. I have absolutely no issues playing Moss all controls work the touch pads work and everything.

Has anyone tried running the HTC Vive on Linux? I've heard conflicting reports on this. If it does work how's the game support? It has been my understanding that the VR games run on Linux but don't have the VR support. Is that correct? Has anyone been able to get more of the games working using Wine? Love to hear your thoughts!
