Hey guys/gals, do any of you have a reputable place to source a phone battery from? I'm looking to replace the battery in my Samsung S9+ and I'm asking because the last "guaranteed new replacement" is terrible in under one year and was actually manufactured in 2018... Is there anyone even making batteries still? There has to be a lot of these devices still around... I kinda don't want a new phone because I like the headphone jack and the fingerprint sensor on the back. Any help greatly appreciated :D, J

At the Samsung unpacked event for the galaxy note 10 and note 10+, Samsung announced a collaboration with Microsoft which allows Galaxy note 10 users to connect their phones to a windows PC and open Sasmung Dex on the laptop in a window just like any other app. I was wondering if anyone know when and if this feature will be available for older models (my current phone is an s9+). I would really like to use this feature to easily transfer files between my laptop and phone.

Quick Question, I'm planning to buy the Intel 660p M.2 NVME drive and an enclosure to use as a backup drive for my phone. Can I connect it directly or do I need more power. I looked online but there isn't a clear answer. Hello everyone! I am considering buying a new phone since there's some pretty good deals going on where I live right now. Apples are too expensive so out of the question , I've had LGs and Huaweis and I am looking forward to getting my first samsung. So I want to buy an S9 Plus but the European version has Samsung's own processor the exynos. I've heard that a lot of people have had huge battery issues with their battery life at launch back in April - June. I am a light user, I will mostly not be home to charge it for 10 hours a day, I will have whatsapp running in the background and I use mobile data (4G) constantly while I'm not at home browsing reddit / reading the news and whatnot. I usually end up only using 3-4h of screen time a day , at most. I've also heard that the august patch they rolled out improved battery life greatly , but only for some. So anyone from Europe / that owns an exynos S9 Plus that can give me some insight / feedback ? Is it worth getting the S9+? Is the battery life really that bad or has it been improved greatly? Of course I could just get it and return it within 30 days but I heard that for some the battery life went bad after around 6 months. Thanks in advance

Do anyone with a Samsung device that is living in Europe know how to sign up for the beta program. I know the way to do it in the USA, but I didnt find how to do it in Europe.

Hi, I recently downloaded the official android pie firmware for the Galaxy S9 plus using SamFirm and flashed it using Odin. The flash process went smooth but I have a big problem: Most of the modes are missing from the camera and the video feels very laggy. FHD 60fps + UHD + UHD 60fps modes are missing from the camera. I didn't reset the phone before that, however, I flashed a small CSC file that came with the firmware that was supposed to wipe user data automatically. Otherwise, everything is running butter smooth. The downloaded firmware is the German (DBT) version. Below the PDA/CSC code: PDA G965FXXU2CRLI CSC G965FOXM2CRLI Anyone else facing similar issues? Anyone any idea what went wrong? Any help is appreciated.

This is going to be a rant... but i'm pissed off at Samsung, and a little at many tech-review sites for not picking up on this.... The S9+/Note 9 are touted as one of the best smartphone camera's available. And I definitely agree on it. After extensive research, i was convinced the S9+ was worth the extra €150 for the second camera. I use my smartphone a lot for photography and even more for video's. And the secondary camera, that gives you optical "zoom" would really make the video's and photo's better. So now i find out, that the 2nd camera has a very limited use! And no-one seems to mention or notice this.... If i had known, i probably wouldn't even have upgraded.... So whats the issue/TL;DR? The secondary camera is allmost never actually used, but digital zoom is used! what i found: Only in Automatic Mode and Portait the secondary camera is used, IF there is enough light. (this is known by many) In Pro-mode the secondary camera is never used... it's pro mode! let me choose! When recording video, the secondary camera is never used! So the whole point for me to buy this camera, was for 2x optical "zoom" for video. And now it's just digital zoom. Same for slow-motion. In "normal" slowmotion (1080p240) you can't zoom. So that's fair game i guess. The super-slowmotion looks like it uses the secondary camera (because zoomed in) but is just a crop from the first sensor. So you can use the secondary camera.... IF you're taking pictures, IF you use Automatic Mode or Portrait, and IF there is enough light. That's too many IF's for me. And seemingly nobody seems to notice or care in the tech-review community? I used to have a Huawei mate 9 with the "monochrome" secondary sensor, which did absolutely nothing for image quality. This was mentioned in many reviews. So why not check that kind of stuff for other smartphone-camera's too? Do we ust assume that, because it has a secondary camera with zoom, it must be better and work? Sorry for the long rant. I just can't believe how crippled the secondary camera is and nobody seems to care....

Hi, so i got my new s9+ about 3 days ago and I really want to get a case for it. But I heard that it is better to get e screen protector first because it is really expensive to replace the glass. So I went to a local store and bought one. I asked them if they could put it for me. They couldnt... The protector was not fitting well on the screen and he wanted to give it to me to try at home. I said that I dont even want to try and he decided to try one more time. Then he said to me that he will give it to me and that I will put it at home. I wanted to say no, but he told me that he will give me a promotion. So as a dumbass I am I thought that I could put it by myself. And bought it. When I went home I wanted to open the wipes that were in the package, because he didnt use them for no reason. And the wet wipe was not actually wet. Then I finally knew what happened. He was trying to sell me a protector that he cant put. And because he tried so many times to put it on the whole protector was in dust under the screen... I got really mad and called my mom. She told me to deal with the problem alone. And then I broke the screen protector, because I got even more mad. So do I really need a screen protector now that I am $20 off? I was thinking of just a case, but the screen on my old phone was without a case and it got all scratched. I dont want this to happen again. BTW I live in bulgaria and here we have some pretty high prices.

So in reference to this post, I believe I have figured it out Samsung galaxy s9+ second camera disabled? I believe I have figured out the issue. I had the same question and tried to figure it out and I think I did, When you cover the zoom lens and click 2x zoom in auto mode you can still take a picture perfectly fine even though you have the lens covered. so whats happening is when the phone detects the lens is covered it switched to the main shooter with digital zoom. The way I figured this out was by covering th zoom lens and clicking zoom over and over and I noticed that when I did it quick I seen my finger covering up the shot very briefly. So if you switch to 2x zoom and slowly move your finger over the zoom lens you can see your finger creep up but when it covers enough it switches to the main shooter with digital zoom. I confirmed by taking 2 pictures both at 2x zoom and one with finger completely covering the zoom lens and one with my finger just barely in the shot so I could tell what lens was being used and the one with my finger just barely in it was waaay clearer and had much more detail. This is a pretty neat little trick they do to help with fingers in pictures.

Hello there recently I've gotten into quite the decision dilemma as I am currently looking into getting a new phone and as a current OnePlus 3 user the OnePlus 6 was my logical decision as a next phone and at a direct price of 570/620€ for 128GB and 256GB respectively I've thought it quite well priced, but now I came across an offer for the S9+ in a 2 year contract that would set me back a total of 740€ for the 64GB model of the S9+, a UE Megaboom and the 2 years of contract with a calling flat and 2GB of data and after reading tons of reviews it's still really hard for me to come to a conclusion since the S9+(at least regarding to what I've read and checked) has the better specs and camera as well as that sweet IP68 rating while the OP6 has the edge on speed, software and future software proofing as well as the advantage of a flat screen(I accidentally dropped my Oneplus 3, luckily while insured, 2 times completely shattering the screen 2 times so far q.q) providing better possibility to use a screen protector. Now my question is should I try and use that nice deal for the S9+ or should I stick to OnePlus for the screen's sake and the good OP software management as I intend to keep using the phone for the next 3~ maybe more years to come. I made a topic about S8+ or Honor 10 a while ago and received lots of great advice! Now I have a bit of a change of plan. My birthday is nearing so now I'm getting a "sponsorship" for the S9+ "if thats the one I want". Well of course S9+ is really outstanding phone and even Linus uses it as a daily driver. And he also stated in the OnePlus video that he wont switch the S9+ to OnePlus... I'm really really bad at making any decisions by myself so money aside, if you could choose OnePlus 6 or S9+ which one would you get? For the same price.

I recently received the One UI update for my Samsung S9+. I read up on many blog posts and online articles on the new features, tricks and tips for the software. One important feature that many have failed to notice (some may have, not to my knowledge) is the Dex functionality. We no longer need to buy the Dex pad to enjoy that experience. Like the Note 9, just a type-c to HDMI does the job. Kudos to Samsung for this.
