R9 Nano or Rx 580 2048sp for CS2? I play at 720p. I own both of these already. Just a matter of testing them but I am waiting for parts.

My budget it's 650$ for a whole pc and i have been searching for a lot of cheap gpus and the first one that I find was the rx 580, but his TDP gets up to 150w while the A380 get at 75w and in the benchmarks that I have saw theyre performance are really similar with only a difference of 25$ (A380 120$). I also want to pair them with a 12100f cause of his compability with ddr5 and pcie5 (also his 100$ price). So which it's the best option? or it's there any other gpu or cpu that could be better for a similar price??

I bought my XFX RX580 2nd hand a few months ago and for a steal of a price. It turns out that what the seller had thought were faulty fans was just the GPU set to 0-RPM mode. so with AMD Adrenaline software I turned off 0-RPM mode and went about my day enjoying my new GPU Fast forward a couple of weeks and I realize that 0-RPM will self-enable itself, every time I turn on the PC. Its not too much of a chore for me to turn it off but it gets bothersome and sometimes my little siblings game crashes and they blame the fact i didnt get a brand new pre-built Im not sure if this 0-RPM bug is baked into a custom BIOS onto the GPU or what but any help fixing this issue will be much appreciated

This is my GPU and driver version as is, I'm trying to find what the latest driver is and if I need to update to the latest version. i have been having some stability issues with my GPU hence why i want to troubleshoot the drivers first to see if it has any effect any help is much appreciated

Hi so I have a lenovo ideacentre 3 that with the i3 10 Gen, I have a rx 550 but I recently upgraded to a 580 and giving then system psu is only rated at 260 and it doesn't have the 8 pins for the gpu I got a 710 watts evga and given the system is a 10 pin power I got a 24 to 10 pin adapter for the motherboard but now my system won't display, the gpu is powering on and I tested it on a different system n it worked fine and I also know the system is booting because I see the numlock light on the keyboard. How can I fix this issue?

Greentings! i have an XFX rx 580 and recently when i play games as soon as the card reaches 82-83 degrees, the pc black screens and i have to restart. i undervolted the card by -30% in afterburner and played around with the power curve to the point that the card is stable and i have no problem putting the fans on 70% manually and play for hours. but at auto fan curve, the card reaches 80c and in terms of seconds, the pc black screens. i fairly cleaned the card since it was a mining unit and re-paste it with CoolerMaster Mastergel Pro v2 but i noticed that the thermal pads on vrm and vram are also dusty (it’s not crusty it’s just dusty) could it be that the pads are bad ? the idle temps are 50-55c (at 55 the 0db mode turns off until the card reaches 49-50 again) which is high in my opinion even for an xfx card could it be that i need to repaste the card ? Pc specs: ryzen 3 3300x at 3.9 ghz via ryzen master 16 gig 3400mhz 450 watts 80p bronze ( i know the psu is a little weak for this config ) i want to know that if my card is healthy and my problems are caused by a weak psu/bad paste application since i only have budget to replace either my gpu or psu I hope my card is ok because i play for hours and hours without any weird stuff on background when i set my fan curve at 70-80% manually But as soon as i let it ramp up automatically, it reaches 81-83c in AAA /Heavy FPS titles and blackscreen And i’m in desperate need for help !

Hello everyone just a question. I have a lenovo thinkpad x270 (the i5-7300u 8gb ram 256gb ssd version) and i desperately need a performance upgrade so im planning to buy an RX 580 and hooked on an EXP GDC via the wifi slot of my lenovo, will this work? I asked chatgpt and it said i might need to configure things on the bios but when i looked at it there's no option for external gpu or something. I don't wanna waste my money im on tight budget (Im a game developer, content creator / streamer too so I kinda need at least that)

Hello, I changed the Bios of my rx580, I put the bios of the Rx590 on the forehead, I did not like it, I went to put the original Bios of the Rx580 Hinyx Memory again, but when I tried gave an incompatible SSD error, using Cmd in administrator mode, using the program amdvbflaswin when you are in the program appears a message (Mismatch of SubsystemIDs) When I do using boot by pendrive using freedos when I do the command amdflash.exe -i , appears the message, Adapter Not Found, I already did ( -f -p 0 rx580.rom also - unlockrom 0 tried all possible options, I noticed something when I changed the bios to rx590, it was through the boot using the pendrive, the Sub ID of rx590 is 5057 Sub VendorID 1849 , The Original Bios of rx580 is Sub ID 0B31 Sub VendorID 1002 , I tested another bios of rx590 and it works normally, it seems that the IDs are giving this error, I would like your help -
So about a week ago, I bought the Acer ED323QUR along with some Additional Displayport cables, along with the one shipped with the monitor. I'm running an RX 580 8gb from powercolor. Never had problems on my 1080 60hz monitor but I upgraded to 1440p 144hz and while it looks amazing and my frames are smooth, I keep getting black screens every now and then, sometimes aggressively back to back. It lasts only a second or two and it doesn't crash anything, I can still hear what's going on in game. It never happens if I'm on something other than a game. Here's what I've troubleshooted so far. I have updated drivers, updated windows, turned off and on freesync, I've overclocked the GPU (this actually causes the black screens to become less frequent but still persists), underclocked, undervolted, changed power plan for PCI, changed refresh rate in games and on windows to 144/120/60. Nothing has really worked except switching to HDMI and it has absolutely no problems. Obviously, I don't want to do this because HDMI has its limitations. I can only assume it's my GPU but I figured I'd ask the experts. Save me!

Hi all, here's the issue I have with a brand new AMD GPU in case someone has any ideas, would appreciate it. Installed a Sapphire RX 580 Pulse 8GB on this system: 5GHz i7 7700k 64 GB DDR4 ram Maximus IX Hero (MB) Corsair RM850x (PSU) My problem is regardless of the PCI slot, power cable I use and where I connect on the PSU the fans on the card always run full speed like a mini-jet, from the moment I power up until I shut down. This happens with or without drivers installed and regardless of OS (fans start at full speed even before the BIOS screen). Managed to monitor temps and they are pretty low (20-30 celcius soon after startup - if readings are correct) which is to be expected since the card is idle and there are no running tasks but the fans are still full speed, super loud and not as expected to operate. After installing the drivers and AMD software I tried tweaking the fans but they were not responding. A third party monitoring software would not recognise the fans as spinning and showed 0RPM while the native AMD app showed 700-800RPM. Have a feeling by the sound of them that they are actually spinning faster than that. I tried connecting it on the 6+2 PCI slots on my power supply with 6-8pins, 8-6pins and 8-8 pins cables. Any ideas on things to try before I RMA this product? Would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

ok right i just bought an RX580 Asus ROG Strix and whenever i launch into a game i just get an error telling me the drivers crashed i've looked this up before posting and apparently underclocking the core clock helps but MSI after burner and the Adrenalin software won't let me underclock it just returns back to the original clock speed i'm completely out of ideas and seriously need some help

Hi everyone, Sorry if I have posted in the wrong section. Firstly, here is my build spec: CPU: AMD FX 8350 4GHz Memory:16GB 1333MB DDR3 GPU: AORUS RX580 4GB Motherboard: ASUS M5A97 R2 PSU: EVGA 650W I am looking for any help or advice at all for a problem that is plaguing me regarding performance on my rig. Firstly, I do indeed have a now outdated system which has been with me a good number of years, and regarding usage I would say I am a very casual gamer at most, so this was never really built to be a high flying set up by any means. But that being said, I have been facing problems now where I am struggling to find out what the root cause is And to be honest, I am very close to splashing out and rebuilding; its just bothering me that I don't know what's causing the following symptoms: FPS count rarely hitting 50/55FPS in most games with lowest settings on everything (Counter Strike, Grim Dawn, Titan Quest, Valheim Tannenberg, Borderlands 2). It will fluctuate between 25-55 FPS. This is with every possible Radeon Adrenaline config combination including VSYNC on / off specific by in-game settings or Adrenaline. I have tried all default Adrenaline profiles too.) After about 20min of gaming (and this is consistent in all games) FPS count will literally go down to 1-5FPS for about 15 seconds before catching up back to normal (normal being low FPS as above). I've monitored all resources possible whilst these drops happen, and cannot see anything unusual. Temperatures are low too, CPU does not get past 55C (liquid cooled) and the GPU goes from 30-50C. CPU / Mem usage doesn't spike. I have re-seated each component, reimaged windows a number of times and the problem always comes back. I don't expect a lot from my PC as I know its not great, but with this CPU and RX580 even with default Radeon Adrenaline settings after a fresh Windows install, shouldn't I see a little bit better than this? The other real kicker to all of this is that Heaven benchmark tests are great!! I get 80FPS no problem at all (screen shot attached) and even letting it run for ages it doesnt drop. Just in games. Other things I have tried: - MSI Afterburner to overclock GPU - CPU Overlocked (no improvement, reverted back to default) If anyone has any ideas at all what is causing these drops and this overall poor performance I would be so happy. If all hope is lost and the best bet is to upgrade, I am sure with a few nods of agreement will persuade me to do just that. Any thoughts at all are much appreciated and please let me know if I need to give more info. Many thanks

Hi, I use Lumion 3d rendering software for my college work, I never faced this problem on my earlier GT640 but that card used to take ages to render, Recently i got an AMD RX580 MSI armored edition 8gb, Problem that i face is opening and running lumion works fine, But as soon as i click on render the screen goes black and gpu fans ramp up to 100%, with so sign on activity going on. GPU temps are under 70 before clicking render and even after stress testing the gpu i havent faced any instability, got score of 1.45k on heaven benchmark can anyone help me with this ? thanks in advanced SPECS- i5- 7400 with cooler master hyper 212 led 8gb 3000 mhz ddr4 ram (corsair vengence) Cooler master 700watt power supply MSI rx 580

Hello everyone! So my rx 580 is not functioning properly. It overheats to 90 Celsius degrees while playing games (Sea of thieves, and forza). I found no way to start the fans not even in the AMD software neither the Sapphire Trixx app. Can someone send me any tips because i really want to play. Thanks!

Basically i bought a broken card off a friend because it was cheap as dirt, now i wanna fix it, the card is a rx580 8gb xfx xxx edition, and originally was running sapphire nitro vbios, the card suddenly started showing weird glitchy effects on screen, my friend restarted the pc and the card fully stopped outputting video, now i have it, i connected it, fans spin up, leds are on, but no output, i put it in the second slot and put my 1080 in so i can get a video output, the card was infact being detected by windows device manager as a connected gpu and showed up under the correct name, i flashed the vbios to the original ones and its still not working, also when taking out the gpu it was quite hot, hot enough where it was probably working, im suspecting whatever is connecting the video ports to the gpu is broken because the way he described the glitchy effects n stuff sounded like when you slowly disconnect something like a dvi port and the screen gets all messed up when its half connected. Important run down of information: Card does heat up, fans turn on and so do the leds, i flashed the vbios as it was running a modified one but it didnt fix it, device manager in windows does fully detect it as a connected gpu (using another video output), the only thing that doesnt seem to be working is the video ports, would be happy if any of you know a thing or two on these cards and how to check said problem, sadly i dont have a amp checker so i cant test the gpu for broken modules, will post pictures if needed (card has been opened before and warrenty has ended so i dont mind opening it up again TL;DR everything works fine on the gpu but no video output :(

I had this custom built pc for about 2 years and I don’t get a signal from my gpu to my monitor anymore. I looked inside and noticed that a red vga light turned on, on my motherboard. I tried to reset my cmos and sometimes it works but other times it continues to not show a display on my monitor Windows: Windows 10 Home mobo: Aorus b450 M CPU: Amd Ryzen 5 2600x GPU: XFX RX580 Ram: 16 gb Corsair Vengeance PSU: Corsair 750w non-modular Boot Drive : WD Black SN750 1TB Nvme

Dear posters and foum members of LTTdc, I seem to have a problem that I cannot fix, which is quite surprising as I have been working with computer hardware for quite some time and do not understand what is going on. First thing's first, full system specs. PSU: Corsair CX 750M Bronze CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 (base clock) GPU: XFX AMD Radeon RX580 (base clock) MOBO: Asus Prime B450M-A rev 1.01 RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB DDR4 3200Mhz OS: windows10 Home edition 64x Monitor: some 75hz refresh rate Acer 24" monitor that I bought at best buy a couple months ago for about $129 256GB Seagate SSD boot drive 2TB Seagate Barracuda HDD 7200/7600??RPM 2TB Seagate Hypercuda SSHD Until recently when AMD pushed an update my RX580 worked relatively fine. I was able to boot, play games in gorgeous settings with excellent frame rate, relatively no problems what so ever. Temps stayed in the low 50s even under max load (AC vent blowing directly into the computer because semi truck), consistently 150+ fast when I decided not to use the freesync, which was always steady 75. Well anyway, after the update my card has been failing, showing artifacts on the monitor, screen tearing, alerts from Radeon software saying drivers have failed, and then the computer would shut down. I tried to revert old drivers, and things took a turn for the worse. Now the computer boots, and I assume goes to post as all the pretty colors on my keyboard come on, which they don't do unless it hits the log-in screen. I see the RX580's fans kick on and the white light cooling fans I have dim, all this is normal. Then the fans go back to high intensity light and the gpu fans cut off, but I let it think for a while and eventually kill the pc by holding the power button for 3-5 seconds because I have no display coming through via display port or HDMI. The monitor flickers to life knowing that it has been plugged into the GPU but says "No signal" and returns to sleep mode. I am at a loss. I have checked and cleaned the pins on the mobo side of the GPU with a q-tip, blew compressed air (dust cleaner tip aerosol can thing) into the slot. Checked the PSU's connections, I thought they might have been loose, checked the PCIe connection to the GPU, even tried a different PCIe card. All work fine. GPU showing blue LED indicator that it is getting power and mobo is showing all of it's LEDs so all is getting the appropriate power. I even went back to the PSU checker tool to ensure that my PSU was supplying more than enough power for a full boot load ( I already knew it was as I've had the PC for about 7 months now and it started with a 600w PSU.) Anyway, I'm at a loss and could use some help. It's my only source of entertainment in the truck. Cheers, Anasyn Edit: added Storage drives to specs Updates: I was able to get the PC to post in safe mode. There are artifacts all over the screen and I rolled back the radeon drivers via device manager. I know I need to get an older version of the drivers and will be searching for that immediately. Anyone have any other ideas?

Hi all, for some reason I cant seem to overclock my RX580 when it's in the performance bios mode. Is this normal? More specifically, I can't move the core frequency or voltage numbers. Tried it both in MSI afterburner, and in AMD radeon software, but in both programs it jumps back to the default values after I press apply. quiet bios works fine, but it only allows 20% power limit increase for example instead of 50%. Tried uninstalling stuff with DDU in safe mode, and reinstall the drivers, nothing changed. Is there anything I can do?

Hey everyone, before I explain my issue, here are my specs. Ryzen 5 3600 and RX 580 8g OC. So back about 2 weeks ago I was playing beat saber in vr, and out of nowhere I was getting major frame drops. Before that, I had beat saber at high settings and got a steady 90FPS. But it was giving me terrible performance. Then I tried Fortnite and had similar issues. Before that I had it on high settings and had it capped at 60Fps with no issues. But now once I jumped it was very laggy and studdering. In Minecraft I couldn’t get 60Fps and my graphics card was only at 10% usage. But this issue has been very weird. The last week Beat Saber has been running fine with only a few studders, and I used the Steam VR performance test and got a fine score with no frames under 90. But Fortnite and Minecraft still have major issues. Since then, I have tried the following troubleshooting. Installing older drivers, reinstalling the games again, resetting windows, installing windows on a different drive, upgrading the power supply from a 450 to 600w (the 450 was acting up a bit), and reseating the card. This issue is very weird and unpredictable. It just started out of nowhere. I did update windows in the same week but I can’t remember if it started right after the update. If anyone knows why this is happening, that would be great, Thanks :).

So I built a bit of a mining setup (it has 2 1060s 3 1070s and 1 rx 580 in it). I had everything running perfectly until today when I set the overclock for everything, msi after burner crashed and then a minute later I got a blue screen saying it needed to restart. Once I turned it on the computer now doesn't register the rx580, it appears on msi after burner with 0 as all of its stats but doesn't show up on task manager. Does anybody have a solution? Hello LTT-Forum, I want to upgrade my gaming rig, because my old GPU is getting too slow for my new ultrawide monitor. I know the gpu market is really expencive right now but i need a better one for my online lecture. My Current Specs: CPU: Ryzen 5 1600 Motherboard: Asus Prime B350-Plus RAM: 2x8gb Corsair DDR4, 3000MHz GPU: MSI R9 390 Gaming 8G CPU Cooler: CoolerMaster, probably the Masterliquid ML240, dont know 100% Monitor: AOC CU34G2X, 3440x1440 running at 100Hz and another 1080p Dell My Budget: Around 400-450€ My Problem: Wanna game AAA games in something better than low resolution and 60FPS, my GPU doesnt like the new monitor in comparison to my old 1080p60Hz monitor..Sometimes use it for Video Production aswell but thats not a big aspect. A Friend of mine could sell me his old rx 580 aorus 8GB for around 360€. Is this enaugh for some Warzone on acceptable quality with the resolution of my monitor? Would you reccoment me another card? Thanks for your Help! Appreciate it!

Hi, I recently purchased a second hand PowerColor Red Devil RX580 8GB. Upon running I noticed that the card gets really hot when running benchmarks and playing games. The temperature is around 76°C± with auto fan curve running at 90%+. And sometime 100% at 80°C. I've tried replacing the thermal paste with a Artic MX-4, no luck. Tried changing the oily thermal pads to Thermalright Odyssey thermal pads, a thickness of 0.5mm and 2.0mm, still no luck. So I thought it might the thermal was too thick since I measured it was 2.0mm uncompressed and 1.5mm compressed, however the thermal pads I have was hard and not really easy to compressed, so I changed to 1.5mm, again still no luck. This is getting frustrating as I have no idea what else to do. I have a Sapphire Nitro+ RX580 8GB. I ran the same benchmarks and games, the temperature is 70°C±, however the fan speed never exceed 50%. Please help, could it be the heatsink leaked the working liquid or something? Is that even possible? I noticed 1 outer fin from the heatsink was slightly bended, I bended it back into shape.
