CONTEXT: So, moving out of my mums - she still needs a PC, these were the beginnings of the Coppaq. I'd made a few PCs before. But I'd never got the chance to go mad and do all the dumb stuff I've always wanted, namely: - passive cooling - retro (CRT oc, etc.) - SSHDs in RAID (yeah bad idea lol) Right (love you Trout), so, here goes it. As for rules, eBay only, no budget, and it has to run CSGO at 800x600. I spent like £600 on this garbage. SPECS: - first i3 4160T, second i5 4570T, lastly Pentium G3258 delided at 4.2ghz under a NoFan cr80-eh - 8gb of low profile black ram with copper heatsinks added - RX460 4GB on Phanteks vertical gpu mount liquid metal-ed (because why not) under a Zalman zf100 with the fan ripped off - Firstly a MSI H81M-E33 but messed up my bios (by not resetting b4 flashing) so won't OC anymore, so secondly I upgraded to Gigabyte GA-H97M-D3H (ooh more orange) 3D printed backplate coming from Spain. - Yesico (Yes, that's a brand) 420w fully passive non-modular partially sleeved PSU (FL-420ATX), 20 to 24 pin mobo adapter and 4pin cpu in an 8pin works fine - Coolermaster Wavemaster (I dremelled the PCIs off uwotm8) - NZXT Hue set to CPU temp in case and marquee behind the front panel - Currently 4x SSHDs in Win10 parity + 1 for disk (all short stroked) soon to be 6x Seagate 500/8gb SSHDs, 5x in hardware raid because when it fills up it's balls speed - AKASA Ultraquiet clear/amber-clear fans (off) soon to be on aircraft switches on a front panel for summer PERIPHERALS: - Compaq 7500 CRT (OC'd to a whopping 88hz, will do 120 for a few minutes eh? EH?) - Compaq keyboard & mouse (gonna try to install roccat internals) - Time speakers are actually fantastic - Logitech ball webcam - Philips SHP2500s w/ modmic GALLERY:

Hey Guys So this summer I bought an RX5700, & a ryzen 3500 (6 core, 12 thread, but you new that), B450 motherboard. I installed everything and it works great. I did have to replace the cooling as the stock cooler was the issue. Getting up to 97 C, So I replaced it with a better cooler today and decided to add in my old GPU (RX 460) to help with folding at home. On startup my system I get to the login and as soon as I click anywhere Blue Screen Of Death. The error I got was: System_Thread_Exception_Not_Handled_Error I took out the GPU and the system runs supper quiet and cool now. I then tried to download the driver but its bundled with all AMD drivers and won't install unless i have the drive plugged in, and its not like hot swappable. ( I can't plug it in with the machine on) I did try to boot Safe mode but it just won't for some reason! getting to be very frustrating Here is the full system specs: CPU: Ryzen 3500 GPU: RX5700 & RX 460 Duel 2G 32 GB DDR4 Trydent Z 3200 MGZ M.2 1TB SSD Toshiba 2 X 120GB SSD (sata) 2TB HHD (sata) 640 W Power Supply 4 extra cooling fans ( I have a cat so i need a filter on the inlet, With a filter you need to keep good a good fan but i'm not so multiple cheap fans it is )

As the title said, i have a RX 460 with DisplayPort to VGA connected to Flatron 20EN33SS-B. However, when i pressed the key to enter the BIOS, the monitor doesn't want to show anything at all. It only wants to show up if my system made it to the OS boot screen. Anyone know what causing this? Is this caused by the converter cable that i use, or is it something else? Before i use DP to VGA i use HDMI to VGA but still has the same result I use a RX 460 with a DVI, DP, and HDMI Port

Need a temp GPU and was looking at these two but need some insign as to the better choice based on hardware restrictions/use. RX 460 Sapphire NITRO OC 4GB or 2G GTX 1050 Gigabyte OC System: R7 1800x Asus Crosshair VI Hero 16GB Ram (8x 2) @ 3200 Coolermast RS-750W Evo850 512 SSD 2Tb Seagate Monitior NEC LCD 2609WUXi <IMPORTANT> Max res: 1920x1200 Answer to obvious question OH DEAR GOD WHY!?!?!.. JUST WHY??? Waiting for Vega & benchmarks before commiting to 1080ti or Vega. Dont want to shell out much in the mean time. Purpose In order of important.. Graphic design, Photograpy, Gaming, VR (eventually with Vega/1080) Applications.. Adobe Suit (LR, Ai, Ps, Id, Pr), Various Blizz titles, Shooter and many more since currentrig is not so good What's your current rig A hampster in a wheel chasing suspeneded cheese in SLI Will it be OC? No, maybe in the future in another project Other notes Temp card would be used as a back up too (Early Vega adoption issues maybe).. eventually it will be a seperate rig for enteratiment/gaming as mini ATX. Monitor used for colour accuracy reproduction (professional grade). This will be updated in future too with something much newer. Somtimes I deal with Large PSD files with 2GB images and also need to encode/export vids. Not sure if there will be any compatability issues with these cards or others going forward based on monitior restrictions (resolution??). I know GTX comes out on top with better FPS but based on my use with the 4gb work better? Price point is similar Thanks gang

Can I run two RX 460s in crossfire? If I can how would it compare to a single R9 fury?

I have put my new Rog Strix rx460 4GB in my computer with an i5-2400, 8gb ram, 550w psu, and win 7 pro. But keep getting extremely low fps on any games even on ultra low; around 1-8 fps. It was a fresh computer when I did this, meaning I bought it on Ebay and it was cleaned and factory reset, so I installed updates for windows, all 78 of them, and ran the install drivers for Asus and Intel. The GPU is recognized and seems to be working because it is displayed in my device manager and I can overclock it, but I still have zero luck on being able to play any games. I dont know what the next step is, Ive already gotten rid of all my drivers and booted into safe mode and reinstalled them but no luck. Im really hoping for some help here on what I can do or just pointing me where to go.Thanks

Hey guys, I am a highschool student currently. I play Overwatch and H1Z1 on my rig (in sig) but would like to play those games at higher settings as well as try things like GTA V. However, I don't care about hitting a constant 60FPS; anywhere from 30-40 at high settings 1080p is fine. How long will an RX460 2GB last on these types games at 2560x1080? Also, how long on AAA titles? I expect 2, maybe stretchable to 3 years. Thanks.

I need an adapter for a Gigabyte Rx 460 to connect to a VGA monitor. Would the one in the pictures be viable? I think its dvi-d to vga but I'm not sure.

So a while back, i did some misc. benchmarks in less than a handful of games, with the intention of firstly choosing a replacement for my 160W mini PC, and secondly the helpfully give some kind of reference to other builders. With life "stuff" and studying causing my plans to neatly compile results fall through, I thought I would share what I do have. It has benches from CS:GO, L4D2 and Bioshock Infinite (older, less demanding games). I do have results for metro 2033 that need a write up. The GPUs compared are the Sapphire RX460, Zotac 1050ti and the Intel HD 530 using an i5 6400 with a 160W psu. Link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1yPQegTgDMz_B4BXmZprRMT5YKje8fVn7FpfvFNEIVu4/edit?usp=sharing Hopefully someone out there finds a use for these numbers on a screen. edit: tl;dr- Given 3 GPUs that are all considered lower end or lower power consumption, what is the relative performance and cost of each in casual/older games (eg those found in alot of steam sales)

Hello. Recently I bought a computer and I made it. After installing the drivers from the motherboard and graphics card there is a problem. Before installing the image looks normal, but after installing the drivers from AMD image gets poor quality. How can you solve this problem? I installed Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, and the problem is still. In another computer with the same graphics card problem does not occur. Maybe after installing windows I did not do a thing, or not installed a program? Games with steam at start immediately stop working. Whenever i try to launch doom (2016) i get a bsod error saying "VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE" and it says what caused it was "atikmpag.sys". I've looked around and the usual culprit is out of date graphics drivers but mines are up to date (17.1.1 on RX 460). What else could be the issue?

So after watching the $50 budget game build from Austin Evans and JayzTwocents I decided I wanted to recreate the project for myself. This was a lot of fun making and I did an entire video build of it (won't link here for forum rules but will post on my profile). This rig had 5 requirements for me. 1. The base rig had to be an older desktop and I had to get everything for $50 bucks. 2. Had to game at 1080P at at least 30 FPS plus 3. Wanted to use the RX 460 as Austin Evans and JayzTwoCents didn't get to. 4. I had to source all the parts used (Minus Graphics Card) 5. With everything including peripherals it had to be under $150 Started by checking my local listings and found a guy who restores old PC. He sold me a Dell Vestro 200 for $50 this included. Dell Vostro 200 Tower Intel Duo 8500 3.2ghz/mobo combo 160 hdd with Windows 10 Pro 64bit 300 Watt PSU After testing it to make sure it worked it wast time to install the GPU. The reason I picked the Rx460 is multiple. First off it draws power from the motherboard so doesn't need any PCIE cables at only 75 watts. Important as this PSU is 300 watts and at least 10 years old. It also performs well for the price and on newegg with rebate it was only $70. After installing the GPU it was time to download and test some games. Given the small hardrive and older CPU I recorded using my phone as I didn't want to add strain on the CPU by using a recording software and gaming but here are some stills with fraps also on. Again apologize for pic quality, took it with phone. CSGO DOTA 2 OVERWATCH Each of the games on 1080p medium graphics was unbelievably playable. Here is a FPS graph of what I was getting. Now I had a monitor keyboard and mouse but I wanted to see if I didn't the cost. I found a local listing for all 3 for $15! Which means I hit every objective because all told the build was $135 with everything INCLUDING peripherals. Two upgrades I would make is a SSD for boot and a better PSU but even then thats only $80 more dollars putting the build barely over $200 total if you did add those upgrades, but honestly you could game without them. This whole experience taught me that just like when I was a young teen and had scapyard PC that if you want to game you can get into it with very little money. I hope you guys enjoyed this build log, and I encourage anyone to do their own $50 pc base build, was a blast!

I need some help, I need to know where to find drivers for an rx 460. My OS is Windows 7 64bit.

So i bought this used graphics card. XFX RX 460 (2GB) and matched it with a GA-P35C-DS3R motherboard(used). It powers up, fans are spinning and lights are on etc. But when i try to play a game it says it my system doesn't have enough power to run it. CPU-Z shows this http://postimg.org/image/bboh9mepx/e810d224/ I've tried: simply cleaning it, looking in BIOS to enable the card, testing the motherboard with another gpu(that worked, motheboard seems fine) If you know any solutions or something I can try, please let me know

I want to overclock my rx 460 yet I'm not sure if the watt man is a good overclocking tool as well, I'm currently using the msi Radeon rx 460 2gb. If anyone has any idea what a good clock for this card would be I'd like to know as I do not even know where to start. I've also heard that msi has better software for overclocking so I will probably use that to oc.
