I have recently finished my build and there is already a problem. When I try to play Overwatch on the RX 480 4 gb it freezes with a red screen then seconds later reboots. I have tried wattman but have no idea how to use it, I was wondering if anyone had any good wattman settings for this issue or if there is a problem with my build I would like some help as to what it could be, thanks. Specs Cpu- Intel pentium G4560 Gpu- MSI RX 480 4 gb Motherboard- Biostar Hi-Fi B150 S1 Psu- Thermaltake Smart Series 500W (80 plus certified ) Ram- 8 gb ( ddr4 ) HDD- 1TB

Issue: I am getting constant BSODs with different errors each time, game crashes and red screens when running Games and 3D applications. Detail: Sweet home 3D can cause BSOD (about the only 3D app I've run). Fallout 4 crashes randomly. I've tried playing Elite Dangerous Horizons (just the training sims) it crashes a couple of times and then I get a BSOD or a Red Screen. Attached is just a screenshot from NirSoft's bluescreenview. One additional thing to note I do have installed rdwrap, which of course I can disable. [Skyrim has low frame rates (from 20 to 40), but I think that has to do with my CPU being AMD] Attempted solution: Clean install of AMD Drivers with DDU in safe mode. Specs: OS: Windows 10 64bit - Business update branch CPU: AMD Ryzen 1700X (Noctua NH-U9B SE2) Motherboard: MSI X370 Gaming Pro Carbon - 1.5 (latest; happened on 1.4 as well) RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V 2 x 16GB DDR4 2400Mhz CL15 = 32GB. Using XMP Profile top raise its default form 2133 Mhz to 2400Mhz as rated. Using slots advised in motherboard manual. PSU: SeaSonic 660W 80+ Platinum SS-660XP2 Video card: Sapphire Radeon RX 580 NITRO+ OC 8GB GDDR5 - latest drivers (no Wattman - causes to many crashes). Clean install using DDU in safe mode. OS drive: Samsung 960 EVO M.2 Secondary drive: WD Black 1TB SATA Comments: I want to try a clean Windows 10 install when I have time, but I am having doubts it will solve my issues. Could it be a bad video card or RAM? Microfractures or something. Thanks for any tips. I've spend so much money on the system I am quite disappointed with its lack of gaming stability (or stability in general). But then I should have expected that with bleeding edge hardware.

Hey guys first off here is my specs: CPU: Intel i7 8700K CPU Cooler: NZXT Kraken X62 Motherboard: Asrock Z370 Gaming K6 RAM: 32GB GSkill Ripjaws 3600Mhz GPU: Gigabye 980Ti G1 Gaming PSU: Corair RM850X So a bit of back story, Last year my Motherboard died and I wasn't 100% sure if it was Motherboard, CPU or PSU so I erred on the side of caution and upgraded all. Not sure if this could effect what happened over the past few months. Over the past few months, my GPU has been exhibiting weird behaviour. A few examples are: 1. The LED on the side (Windforce) should be set to blue but sometimes it's off completely and sometimes it's white. I always double check the software and when it's acting like this, any changes in the software don't have any effect. 2. The GPU reverts from PCI-E 3.0 16x to 8x 3. I experience huge amounts of lag, fps drops or stuttering in GAMES. Rebooting or turning off PC does not help any of these. What DOES fix all 3 issues is unplugging and replugging the PSU cables into the GPU or switching off the PSU at the switch on the back. These 3 things have been happening on and off for a few months. So last night, there was a sound (I had headphones on but I heard something), my entire screen went red with no text or anything and I smelt burning (electrical). It was coming from GPU, PC still boots with or without GPU but don't want to test with GPU because everytime I do it smells like burning. I checked motherboard and I can't see any blown capacitors. My PC seems completely fine without GPU, no smell, all clocks running smoothly, stress tests are no issue. It seems very likely to be a dead GPU or even just a blown cap considering it is 4.5 years old and the rest of my PC is ~6months old. There is no smell from the PSU but I noticed that when it is switched on there is a buzzing sound similar to coil whine even if the PC is not on. Also whenever I switch off the PSU at the switch at the back, if flick the switch slowly there is a zapping noise while flicking it. Are either of these normal? I'm happy to buy a 2080 Super IF it is an isolated GPU issue, my fear is that it may be the PSU or something else and it might kill my new GPU. Please help. What do you guys think? Build: R7 1700 (OC 3.75) liquid cooled by DeepCool AIO 360mm RX470 not OC Asus Rog Strix B350 mobo Corsair Vengence RGB 2x8gb set to 2933mhz Seagate 1TB SSHD Problem: Red Screen when I play Paladins. Some days it works some days it crashes left and right then red screens my computer but doesn't restart itself. What I have tried already: Tested other games and have had no issues LoL, PUBG, and Brawlhalla. Stressed Test with Valley benchmark, No crashes. Validated the game files, no issues found. Powerstrip is new and I didn't go cheap on it. PSU is clean 650w DeepCool gold plus. Drivers are all up to date. Is this a sign my GPU is dying or just boycotting Paladins? Not sure what is going on here Any insight will be welcome and tried to fix this issue. Thanks in advance.

Hello everybody, I recently built a new pc and everything was working fine, but over the past two week or so I've been getting occasional red screens while gaming and occasionally a whining sound coming from either the psu or gpu I can't quiet tell. The first thing I did was to uninstall all the gpu drivers and reinstall them, and so far that seems to have stopped the red screening as I haven't gotten one since restalling the drives (fingers crossed). However, the whining is still occurring now this has happened while I game as well as when I'm just surfing the internet. I was wondering if you guys could give me any further information about it is it my psu is bad and the reason for the red screens is because the gpu isn't getting enough power when it needs it? Or is it my gpu is bad? Or a combination of the two? Also, my gpu is a Msi R9 270 oc edition and my psu is a Corsair cs550m. Thank you all for any help you can give while I try and pinpoint the exact spot where the noise comes from.

I need some help here, I have a Gigabyte Gtx 590, not over clocked. When I play games on a single monitor connected with a DVI cable there is no problems. Recently I connected a second monitor via VGA cable with a adapter because I started editing video and a second monitor come in handy. But when I start games like battlefield my main monitor connect by DVI cable starts flickering red. I tried changing ports from port one to one of the others but when I did that VGA monitor is ok but the dvi monitor flickers and I'm not even gaming. And if I connect the DVI monitor to the third port windows wont even boot up. Drivers up to date running Windows 8.....thanks

this is a specific problem iam having only with playing bf4.This problem occured on the 09 of nov and i started playing the game on the 31 of oct and had no such problem.When i start up bf4 then its just a matter of time before it my crashespc. I get a red screen and my pc restarts this happens 99 % of the time after one match of bf4.I tried system restore , reinstalling game ,setting my bios to its optimized defaults , bios flashback,checked my temps they we re ok ,nothing worked.The strange thing is the problem only is with bf4 any other game i can play with no such problem. if you guys could help me out it would be greatly appreciated.Ou and btw could this be a problem i dont remember if it was on the same day as the crashes started (yes it was that day) but anyway my mouse just randomly stopped working for no reason i was playing with it for 2 h and did nothing special it just stopped working when i came back from a break. i had to strangely unplug and plug in the mouse several times before it started working again.I had the mouse for 4 months with no instability and no instability after the incident.btw i took those clocks off now. -CASE: Bitfenix colossus -CPU: AMD 8350 (oc 4500 mhz) xigmatek dark knight frostborn ed -MOBO: Asus m5a99fx pro r.20 -GPU: AMD Gigabyte 7950 core clock 1000mhz memory clock 1250mhz -RAM: Adata XPG 2400 mhz ( oc 2600) -SSD: Samsung 840 240 gb -HDD: 2TB 64MB SATA3 ,WD Black -PSU: Lepa 850 w 80 + gold -MONITOR: ViewSonic 24 inch Peripherals Razer Abyssus
