Originally when I started playing this game, the FPS was steady at 60 with Vsync on. I do not have high refresh rate monitor so I keep VSync on and limit FPS to 60. Off late, I have been seeing that the game plays only at below 50 FPS and sometimes drops to 34 fps. What could be going wrong? I am under impression that my 12 GB RTX 3060 is capable of handling RDR2 at 1080p and 60 Hz. PC Configuration in my Signature.

I started playing RDRO recently and was almost driven crazy(ier) by the right mouse button having a life of its own. The context menus and even ADS will disengage after a random number of seconds, usually between 2 and 5. Trying to do a wave emote and pulling a gun on players instead got old pretty fast and hunting is nigh impossible. This only happens when using toggle to aim and with more players in the session. If I force a solo session by blocking port 6672, I can play for hours with no issues. Just the same, if I'm in a populated session and use hold to aim, all is fine. I've never had this problem in any game, including GTA 5/Online. The very obvious solution is to use hold to aim, but the fact I'm seeking help shows that's not satisfactory. I have trouble coordinating aiming, shooting and holding the RMB all at the same time due to having a condition known as "sucking." Playing on a i7-7700HQ machine running Windows 10 Home with a G502 X mouse and MX Keys keyboard. The receiver dongle is very close to the mouse, so the problem is not a weak signal. I've asked about this on a couple of Reddit subs and got nowhere, so it's time for the LTTF folks to prove their inherent superiority over those normies. And do it quick, please, before we have no forum left as LTT races Twitter to see who implodes first. Hi so I've been having troubles running rdr2 ever since I built my pc. For some reason my graphics card (gigabyte rtx 3070ti) is maxing out the 3D even when I turn all the in game graphics down to low and turn off all raytracing etc. (there is a picture of it below) I've tried many things like the obvious- making sure all drivers are updated, bios is up to date etc. And then trying the not so obvious like running the game as admin, telling my monitor to override game graphics, telling my computer in the system settings to run game at high performance etc. It has aslo blue screened on me a a couple times (I couldn't get the blue screen code because it reloaded too fast). Now as for my computer specs I have the 3070ti, AMD Ryzen 7 5700X, 32GB of corsair vengeance RGB pro DDR4 3600mhz and samsung SSD 980 1tb and seagate 2tb. Now I've benchmarked my components and they all work absolutely fine, my thermals are also very good. If anyone else has had a similar problem and knows how to fix it, that would be a great help thanks. oh I'm also running windows 11 if that has anything to do with the problem.

So I've been getting frame drops pretty constantly in both of rockstar's newest games on my high-end PC every 5-10 seconds, about a frame or 2 drops from 60 fps to 20-30. Specs: Windows 10 Home 64-bit Intel Core i9 @ 4.10GHz 16.0 GB 2133 DDR4 G.SKILL MSI MAG Z590 TORPEDO (MS-7D08) (U3E1) 4095MB NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti (EVGA) 931GB Samsung SSD 870 EVO 1TB (SATA (SSD)) 232GB Samsung SSD 750 EVO 250GB (SATA (SSD)) 2794GB WL3000GSA6454 (SATA ) NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device (Wave Extensible) (WDM) The games are installed on the SSD 870 EVO 1TB What I've tried so far (NONE HAVE FIXED THE ISSUE) Capping my fps and/or capping my monitor's Hz Defragging all of my storage devices Scanning for malware and viruses Resetting the clock speeds on my CPU Turning on and off Vsync both in the NVIDIA control panel and in-game Lowering and turning up the settings in-game and in GeForce Resetting my virtual memory Going through task manager and eliminating tasks Clearing space on my SSD in order to eliminate bottlenecks Checking task manager to see if my ram, cpu, or gpu was capped out at 100% (none are) Switching from DX11 to DX10 Repairing corrupted windows files Reinstalling both games Disabling fullscreen optimization My GPU is not overclocked and never has been, this has been an issue when I had a gtx 1070 as well. When I play GTA 5 the ram usually caps out at around 8gb despite having 16gb of ram, that might be the issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated, here's a youtube video of my stutter

Specs - Dell - 1080p 60Hz monitor, Z-97 Gaming 5 Mobo, GTX 960 2GB, i5 -4440 CPU - 8GB RAM DDR3 (almost 6 yrs old now), CM 690 III cabinet, 1 TB SSD Will i5-4670k CPU be to handle GTX1650 or GTX 1650 Super? Should I upgrade my cpu to i7-4790k for using GTX 1650 or is i5-4670k enough? Otherwise, if I wanna jump to AMD CPU and mobo, which ones; should I go for? I wanna go for the same mobo with i5-4670k, otherwise...I'm planning for AMD since i7-4790k seems costlier. But i7-4790k is also not ruled out. For GTX 1650 and GTX 1650 super, which CPU will be good? The bottleneck calculators....I never rely on them. Will i5-4670k be good or new AMD mobo+cpu are better? AMD mobo and CPU price are almost = i5 4670k price, if I choose - say Ryzen 5 3400G, should I go for 1650 or 1650 super GPU? If i5-4670k is good enough for medium to high-ish settings with 60+FPS, I would settle for that (if GTX 1650 provides good FPS without any stutters.) I wanna get some other things like gaming mouse, so...I wanna invest wisely. Summary : for i5 4670k, which GPU will be good? Or if I opt for Ryzen 5 3400G, which GPU will be good? I'm looking for 1600 series, 1660 super is a bit expensive in my place. Should I go for 1650 super or only "gtx 1660".

Hi All, Description of Issue: I purchased a brand new gaming laptop a month and a half ago which I mainly use to play Modern Warfare. Up until yesterday the machine had been performing perfectly without any issues. Suddenly, while I was in-game, the internet stopped working so I exited the game and re-loaded when the internet returned 10 mins later, since then the game has been unplayable due to horrendous static lagging. The internet has become stable again so I believe the lag is not caused by a poor internet connection. For comparison I tested Red Dead Redemption 2 story mode offline (which also up until that point had no issues whatsoever) and the same performance issues remained. From one moment to the next I can go from 100 FPS to 1 FPS and then back to 100. I did not install any software or perform any updates in the 10 mins. How can there be a loss of performance like this from one moment to the next? No other programs have been running whilst I was running the tests. This unknown change has basically reduced the performance of the machine to that of my 5 year old Thinkpad and is intolerable when trying to game. Things I've tried: Restarting the PC Uninstalling/reinstalling the game Installing newest Nvidia driver Performing a windows memory diagnostic Performing a hard disk error check (both drives) Reverting to a system restore point from last week Running several virus scans Ensuring the internal GPU was not being used I have noticed that on occasion when the game is running (on the main screen, not in a server) I am using 100% CPU and 88% memory capacity but I am not sure if this was the same before the errors started. PC Specs: Lenovo Legion Y540-15IRH Core i5-9300H 8GB RAM 1 TB HDD (Game data is on this drive) 256 GB SSD GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 6GB Windows 10 Home 64 Bit Bios: BHCN38WW I would greatly appreciate any help you can offer before I have to approach the vendor about a replacement under warranty. Hello, i bought RDR2 a couple months ago and immediately noticed that "Other Apps" took exactly 5416MB of Vram, now i tried a couple things back then but i can't quite recall what they were but it didn't do nothing so i just waited for a lot of patches in case it was a bug. Fast forward to today where this number is exactly the same, now, i'm 100% sure that nothing other than Steam and the game itself is running in the background i closed everything chrome, icue, steelseries engine etc. But nothing, i even booted my pc in safe mode and again the same exact amount, i tried Vulkan and DX12 and nothing changed, i really don't know what else to do i even deleted and reinstalled the entire game which with my internet connection literally took a whole week so i'm not too keen on doing that again. Here is a photo of the graphics settings menu: My systems specs (in case they matter) are: CPU: Intel Core i7 4790(non k) GPU: Nvidia RTX 2070 Super RAM: 16gb 2133mhz Edit: Following rockstars recommendation i closed all running services excluding steam and rockstar and it didn't help.

I having stuttering issue every minute or so while playing Red Dead Redemption 2. I cant seem to figure out why is the GPU behaving this way is it because of ram or CPU, may be some weird optimization on GPU i do know RD2 is a badly optimized game but still wanted to find what resource is the bottleneck here ISSUE: GPU stays at 99% for sometime then suddenly throttles back(that's when lag occurs). Temprature stays around 50-70. I tried following things 1.Change affinity in task manager(CPU) 2.Reduced Graphics(everything on low or turned off) res 1366x720 3.DX-12 4.Driver Update also tried everything on according to this article https://www.ghostarrow.com/red-dead-redemption-2-increase-performance-fps-on-pc I ordered dual channel 16gb ram 2400mhz but i don't think that's gonna fix the issue. My main question here is stuttering solely because of bad optimization of game(even at such low res and graphics) or am i missing something here. Hey there ! I'm having major bottleneck issues with my current setup. Now I had a gtx 1060 3gb paired with the i5 2400, Now I replaced it with RX 580 and my CPU is now bottlenecking the GPU alot ! I have two options for the cpu due to my budget . i7 2600 . Xeon E3 1240 v2 Both are 3rd gen processors But I'm more interested in buying the xeon out of the two! What do you guys think? Can recommend a better option? Also one more thing! I'm aiming to play rdr2 with it I'll wait for your replies Sorry for bad grammer*

hi, can anyone help me? i want to know if my gpu is dying or it just a bad driver. I was playing red dead redemption 2 lately and i haven't got any issues but last time i played, i was in saint denis(part of the game map) and i was there for quite awhile and then my graphic start to become green and stretching. This happened on midnight(game time). My gpu temp was only at 60c and cpu is at 76c. I tried to run heaven benchmark and cod modern warfare but it seems alright, i ran it for a couple minutes(less than 2 minutes probably). but when i get back to red dead redemption 2, it seem the artifacts is gone for now at least. IS THIS A SIGN OF MY GPU IS DYING ? OR ONLY A BAD DRIVER? my current gpu driver is 441.87.

Hello LTT community, my name is piXelit! and this is my very first finished casemod in a Red Dead Redemption style. My goal was to keep the case rough and old looking but still have that detail in it.It is 100% handmade, everything that is colored brown/beige is stained with ground coffee (yes you read right) and finished with teak oil. Since i do not really like rgb, so it has just subtle red lighting, from the GPU/CPU and both side fans. All decals are wood burned and the cables are wrapped in fine rope. The insides are covered with a clear acrylic panel, so it can stay open or closed. Since i have no sponsors or something like that, i had to use what is available, but i think it worked out nicely.In a perfect world i would have taken an all Noctua cooling solution, but i do not regret anything . Hi all, I have been facing some serious stutter in Red dead redemption 2 in populated areas like towns and cities. I see stutter even when my FPS is above 60. As mentioned before, only in places like valentine and Saint Denis etc. My average FPS is always 65-75. In cities, it falls to 57-58 but the stutter makes it seem like 30. I tried changing the API from Vulkan to D3D12. It reduced my framerate by a lot but my stuttering was completely gone (The low FPS then started to act as stuttering lol). I also enabled acompute in the settings.xml file. It helped a little but the effect is still very noticeable. My specs are listed below: i7-4790 (cooled by Cooler Master MA410p) 16 GB DDR3 1600mhz MSI Gaming X GTX 1070 8GB 240GB Gigabyte SSD (boot) 2TB WD HDD (Games)

My current build consists of an 8086k OC'd to 5GHZ and a 1080ti Asus Strix OC Edition running on a PG279q 1440p monitor. I'm a little late to the "game" and was wondering if the game is more GPU or CPU intensive because I am planning on getting a non-reference 3080ti (or whatever it will be called) when they release and am hoping that will increase my performance. I'm hoping to run on ultra settings but am not sure if that's achievable (as I have not been paying attention to RDR2 until now and am not sure whether it's one of those games where hardly anyone will be able to run it at ultra or not). To get to Ultra (if possible), would the new GPU do it? Or would I have to upgrade my CPU again to achieve what I want? Also, is 144fps+ possible or is that too greedy for a game like this?
