So, long story short, I bought a used G27 wheel, it came with a missing foot which I was told I could buy another one and use just the one in the meanwhile by the seller. That lone foot was not only doing double hours, but was also clearly poorly 3D printed and, to no one's surprise, within an hour it broke. All good, I could just buy the 2 feet and replace them. Sure, now let's disassemble the wheel to remove the broken foot. It had obviously been open before and probably mostly by force, and closed up even worse. All good, after opening hundreds of used laptops, I was already expecting this. What I was not expecting was that one of the many stuck screws was one of the largest and hardest to access (One of the three screws that held the wheel assembly to the chassis). I couldn't remove it by the old and new gods and ended up giving up, however I did not give up on removing the old feet, no, there was enough of a gap for me to grab the broken foot and maybe even possibly use the same gap to replace the other ones in the future. Oh shit, something fell off. No sound of something breaking, nothing, it just fell off while I was removing the broken feet through the gap. TLDR: Broken G27, tried to open, something fell off. The part that fell off: (It's 6cm/2.3in long) Alright, now. I know this is a metal leaf spring. It came from somewhere inside (obviously) and fell from the back. All I want to know is: Do I need it? I can't open the whole wheel to put it back where it belongs, not with that stuck screw. So is this an integral part of the wheel, or can I just replace the feet and go on? In case it is an integral part, where does it belong? If it's important to the functionality of the wheel, I'll consider getting the screw drilled by a professional and opening up the wheel fully to put it back in. Also photo of the screw in question: Any help will be appreciated.

My 5 year old's 6th birthday is 4 days away - giving me the perfect excuse to feed the wife for getting a way too expensive birthday gift for my little guy that hopes to grow up to be a race car driver someday (and allow his dad to have some fun after he heads for bed each night at 9pm! ) What little I know about the wheel/pedal/shifter perifs is you want top of the line pedals because it all comes down to braking on iracing (at least that's the word I got). Budget (2 options): Option #1: Up to $750 for wheel/brakes and potentially separate shifter (though most wheels have paddle shifters now from what I can tell). I'd probably be the only one that would use a separate clutch/stick. Option #2: Option #1 + chair w/ motion (Up to $3k) I have yet to find anything less than the $3k for next level's motion platform without a single other component. Here's my present setup: Asus Prime 270-A 1TB m2 HD 32GB RAM i7-6700 @ 3.4 gHz overclocked 20% w/ watercooler Windows 10 Pro Gigabyte GTX 1070 GC Other Storage: Intel Rapid Storage Controller: Raid 0 (Operating System) Dual 1TB SSDs Raid 1 (OS backup) 3TB Sata Thanks for any/all advice!

Is there software to allow Force Feedback racing wheels to work with unsupported racing games? I have a hardware USB adapter for wheels to convert them to 360 controllers, but I don't think it auto-centers the steering wheel or adds force feedback (from memory). The last time I tried it, I used my Logitech G25 steering wheel with Sonic Racing Transformed. Today, I'm looking for this solution to allow my 3 year old to play the newest Sonic Team Racing game with me. Joysticks are hard for him to control, but I figure a steering wheel would be easier. Is there some way to plugin a G25 or G29 (I have both) and make it work with incompatible racing games?

I recently bought the Thrustmaster Ferrari Red Legend racing wheel and wanted to play Forza Horizon 4 with it. I have the wheel switched to pc, the correct drivers are downloaded, the computer recognizes it, however when I get wheel set up on Forza. The button mapping wont work, keeps saying button unmapped, and won't let me map any of the buttons. Am I missing a step? The instructions said to download a piece software as well and map it there, but I could not find it. Attached below are links to manual and website Drives/manual Website for Wheel

I am looking to buy a racing wheel for my pc for around $500 Canadian. I want clutch, and force feed back. There is some option I found Logitech G29 and G920. I think they are the same just one for x box one for PS4. Thrustmaster TMX pro, T150 pro, T300 and TX. The major difference between the two brands are the force feed back. Logitech is gear drive and thrustmaster is belt drive, which force feed back is better? I also read some reviews online, I found they are mostly objective. Is there a clear winner here? I will appreciate any advice.

I am looking to buy a wheel for ETS2, ATS FS17, Dirt 3, Dirt Showdown as well as any other games that I pick up. I have narrowed it down to the to the Logitech G27 and the G29. I can pickup: second hand g27 (with 2yr warranty) for £145 from Cex second hand g29 with shifter (with 2yr warrenrty) from Cex for £185 new g29 with shifter for £220 from PC World Leaning a little to the G27 as it has more buttons as well as being cheaper but a new G29 also is tempting. Any advice/suggestions/thoughts would be appricated. Side note - I only play on PC so console compability is irreverent. Thanks Chris

Title pretty much explains it all. I've been playing racing sims and other driving simulators for a few years with just a controller, and I'm ready to purchase a racing wheel to improve my experience. I know very little about racing wheels, other than Logitech's G27 and G29 wheels. I know that thrust master makes good wheels, but I'm not sure which ones would be recommended for me. The generous amount of buttons that come on the G29 really appeals to me, and pedals with a clutch are a must. A stick shift isn't really all that important to me, as I plan on just using the paddle shifters on the wheel in conjunction with the clutch. I'm looking for something in the price range of the G29 ($275 USD), but obviously cheaper is better. I'll be using it to play Project Cars, Dirt Rally, ETS2, ATS2, and others as I expand my library.

Hello! I am thinking of buying a racing wheel. I am thinking about buying the Logitech G920 or the Thrustmaster TMX. I am only going to be doing Rigs Of Rods on the PC and in the future I might do Xbox Racing. Which one should I choose.

What's better? I've been looking for a racing wheel, and would like to know what would be a good option. I've narrowed it down to the Logitech G920 and Thrustmaster TMX. Each are $200 on Amazon, but I'd like to know what is the better wheel. Please feel free to recommend something else if you have a better option.

Has anyone got any suggestions as to what the best relatively cheap bang for buck racing wheel there is out on the market? I plan on becoming a sim racer and need to get started somewhere but i don't want a shoddy less than 90 degree turning wheel, I need full on 1080 degrees. Any help is appreciated!!

racing wheel Problem with a screw. An important one.
refinedskillz posted a topic in Troubleshooting
I have this racing wheel that uses a screw to screw the clamp onto the table. When the wheel is upside down, it screws in fine, and tightens the clamp, therefore gluing the wheel to the desk, when its upside down however, I turn it and nothing happens, it just turns and turns and turns, what could be the problem to this? I would really appreciate help with this, here is a video I displaying the problem. -
I need a Racing Wheel. One with a reasonable turning radius, (900 degrees possibly) It needs a shifter with atleast 4 gears. And it needs a clutch pedal. I dont care about quality, plastic or metal. Maybe if I can buy a wheel and get the shifter/clutch seperately as a add-on/mod? My budget is $150-$200. Any ideas/places I can buy for cheap? I'd look for a G27 but those things sell for like $250-$300. Can ANYBODY help me? Thanks.

Hey guys, I have this awesome Microsoft Xbox Racing Wheel from like 7ish years ago. It's goddamn amazing and it has real force feedback. Obviously, I don't want to play games on the 360. So, I am wondering if it will work on PC if I buy: -Xbox 360 Battery Pack to USB http://amzn.to/1LPOpsS -Xbox 360 Controller Wireless Adapter http://amzn.to/1jJdXks In theory, it should work fine. I am only really worried about lag. I just want some opinions before I get this stuff. Thanks - Covert.

I recently got a G29. It hasn't worked right yet. Out of the box, when connected and set up properly, the wheel doesnt want to turn. Even in any game, the wheel is stiff. The force feedback / center spring seem to be stuck on and i cant turn them off. Im using it on PC and have it in ps4 mode. Any help is appreciated because this thing wasn't cheap

Hello all.. Here I am.. Trying to make a post so every Logitech G29/G920 owner can show their setups, mods, ask questions, talk about games you play with this great wheel... Here is my setup, G29 with Shifter.. I installed an anti slip rubber floor under the pedals.. It is not complete.. a lot of cable management needs to be done.. and I want to modify the wheel and shifter with some Audi logos. In that album I will upload my progress... It would be nice if everyone share theirs.. For now I play Project Cars, Codemasters F1 2015 and City Car Driving PS: If there is something else I need to add to the post send me a message... PS 2: Sorry if I made a grammatical mistake.. My first language is Spanish..

I need a new wheel for simulators but I don't want to spend a lot of money. I want to see if there are any other good options for simulators other than the Logitech g27.

when I check online, all I see is the Logitech G27 as the most recommended racing setup to use for PC. So I just wanna ask you guys what your recommendations are for racing setups, budget is around $500, although I'm not an avid gamer for racing games, I just like the feel of playing using racing wheels (my friend personally has the G27 so I already know how it feels, the wheel is just a little too small, but the rest is good I guess?) One thing I want to take into consideration as well is the compatibility with Windows 8 and with the games as well. Of course it would be a waste if some games won't work with whatever I decide to buy.

The wheel is really nice.. But I don't really have many games that would be good for it. Now of course, I know racing wheels are built for racing sims, so I imagine most would suggest some racing sims.. which i do want, of course... However, they aren't the thing I'm really looking for. I do want racing sims that are really good games, or fairly good games for a cheap price. Nevertheless, I much prefer arcade racing games, and would like a racing game that would work well with a wheel, but is more arcade-ey in how the game controls. The last type of game I would really like (though I'm not sure it necessarily exists), is a game that would let me explore an area (like wildlife) and includes force feedback in it, cause I believe that would be something fun to try. Any game recommendations would be appreciated, but I would definitely like recommendations more-so in the two latter categories.

I have a Logitech G27 and to make a long story short the back problems I've got due to a car accident make it pretty much unusable. I'm looking to sell it but I don't want to ship it as the shipping would be harsh. If there any members in Georgia that would be interested in the buying the wheel and either meeting in the middle or picking it up from my house send me a PM and we can talk location and pricing. I can supply as many pictures as you want, the wheel hasn't been used much and was bought straight from Logitech's website. Mods and various people who will post that this should be in the classifieds I thought that I would post this in a thread so that more people see it because of the special circumstances. This is an attempt to see if anyone near me is interested because if there isn't anyone that wants to meet in person to get it then I won't sell it due to the aforementioned shipping costs. If it's really an issue then I will post an advert in the classifieds too but I would like this thread to remain up. To those who doubt the car crash claim This was my car before This was my car after rest in peace my sweet :'(

Use code UE50LOGITECH in Logitech's own store to get a g27 from £269.99 down to £134.50. Other items in same deal are that G13 keypad thing that's always too expensive and their XBox-looking controllers, probably kbds too but I didn't check those. Not in the deal are mouses and headsets. Credit to HotUKDeals for this tip Happy days... EDIT: people have started saying the code is only for the Ultimate Ears 200vi headset - read the code it starts with "UE" - So who knows...

I intend to purchase a Logitech G27. This racing wheel has force feedback, and it's what I understand to be some rather forceful force feedback. I hesitate to get it not only because it costs a lot, but also because of my desk setup. My keyboard and mouse and all that business go on a roll out tray thing while my screens go on the actual desk. There's no extra room on the actual desk, which forces the wheel to go on the roll out bit. Will the force feedback pull the roll out tray out of my desk to due the vibrations and movement and stuff? Am I going to have a terrible time with it moving the tray up and down, too? Thank you for your time.

Ive been looking around the internet trying to find some good racing simulation games for PC (I want to get a G27 racing wheel or similar, with pedals and gearshifts and all that) but I can't seem to find anything. I am mainly looking for a variety of cars to drive a lot of customization and upgrades similar to forza. Thanks in advanced for any help you guys can give me. -- Also if anyone knows good steering wheels / pedals other than the G27 please let me know
