Prime day has the 980 pro 1 tb at 50 bucks, if you need storage, grab it

Hi, I was looking to buy ram for my new rig when I find (Corsair VENGEANCE CMK32GX5M2B6000C30) that says that it is intel XMP compatible, I haven't upgraded for a sum time, is ram now like motherboard only works with only intel or AMD or is just marketing nonsense, There are others like it that earth mention AMD or intel in the title, and I am really confused, if I buy the intel one will it not work with AMD CPUs. I want to get it for ryzen 9 7900x

So on my machine I'm running out of storage, and with the great timing of amazon prime day I decided to upgrade my storage for more games. So is the Seagate BarraCuda 4TB Internal Hard Drive HDD – 3.5 Inch Sata 6 Gb/s 5400 RPM 256MB Cache (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D9C7SQH/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_jXLHFb4A3G602) a good choice? I know that it's best to get at least 7200 RPM but I heard there is more to the drive than RPM. I just need more for games and VM's and all that. Since it's the same size as the 2 TB but had double the storage but spins slower will I see any difference really? Also on top of this I need a 6TB backup drive because well... I have a 2TB backup drive and I have 3.5 TB of storage and with compression I'm running out of space. And putting a 4 TB in the system to replace a 750 GB drive (No more drive room so it has to be replaced) Well my backup drive won't hold that much. With prime day coming up I really want to get my hands on a new TV. Im upgrading from a 2015 32 inch 1080p Sony TV. The TV itself isnt very good and with some money I have saved up im confident I can afford to get a decent 50 inch 4k tv for my bedroom. My problem is that 4k content seems impossible to get ahold of. Ive got a pretty decent htpc that I currently use for all my media needs, mostly, Twitch, Netflix, YouTube, and occasionally I'll rent a movie from Amazon. The pc has a Core i5 6500 and 16 GBs of ddr4 (yes i know thats overkill, mistakes were made). But it seems like its impossible to play 4k blu rays, without a new kaby lake cpu, or a high end graphics card. Is there something that I'm missing that makes 4k tvs worth the investment. If not what should i do considering 1080p 50 inches are going for almost the same damn price.

After following PC hardware for over 9 years (When I first started, the q6600 was all the rage), I'm finally out of college and have cash moneys to build a PC. I was going to wait until later i the year to build some backup capital, but then prime day happened. So, for ~$900 I ended up with: NZXT S340 EVGA 600W 80 Plus Bronze PSU (thanks, Prime Day) Ryzen 1700X (thanks, Prime day) Corsair Hydro H110i (thanks, Prime day) Aus Prime B350Plus mobo (thanks, Prime day) WD Blue 1Tb 7200RPM (thanks, Prime day) SanDisk 480Gb Sata 3 SSD 8Gb Corsair Vengeance 3000MHz DDR4 EVGA 4Gb 1050Ti (I'll only use this for the next year or so, I'm not going to waste money on a high-end card in this market) Windows 10 OEM So I have four (five?) questions: -Is Ryzen still finicky with RAM? I specifically went to Fry's for the ram to ask someone more experienced with me and he said the Corsair should work, but I know lots of people have had problems with underclocking. -Corsair says on the box for the cooler that they offer a free AMD mounting bracket on their website with a promo code. Upon making an account and entering the promo code, it knocks the price to $0 but still charges $5 for shipping. However, since the price is $0, they don't allow me to put in credit card info. But they won't let me complete the order because I need to pay for shipping. Am I missing something or should I call and complain and basically ask to get it with free shipping because the box is totally misleading? -What kind of overclocking can I expect out of the 1700x and the H110i, and what's a good way to start? I know the gist of how tweakings work, but I've never overclocked so I want to be sure. -Say, hypothetically, that I wanted to RGB the bejesus out of my system. What's the play there? The cooler mentions RGB, but it didn't look like it was. I'm game to grab a few fans at Fry's, but I don't know if I need any motherboard ports or part compatibility to synchronize it. -Oh, and I'm not forgetting anything, am I? Yes, I have an antistatic wrist strap and zip ties.

Hello, As above I'm wondering if mixing RAM frequencies can work. I'm currently running 2x 8GB Crucial DDR 2400 RAM(linked) on an MSI Z370 tomahawk motherboard, I'm looking into adding extra RAM to it (doing a lot of photo and 4K video editing)I was looking to get a second set of 2x GB Crucial 2400 sticks but then Amazon went and added a prime day deal on the very same memory but at 2666mhz. Would it be possible to run the 2400s and 2666s in a quad channel set-up to run 32gb at either 2666 or 2400? I know it might be a daft question but I gotta ask to find out, found lots of stuff online showing it works but not always best. Thanks Adrian

So its prime day and I'm looking into building a new gaming desk top. I've heard that the prices of graphics cards are due to fall next month so I was thinking to wait on lower prices. So my question is, is 499 for an EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW good enough to jump on, or should I wait and hope prices fall?

I was looking through Prime and Prime Day deals for headsets and I noticed the XIBERIA T18s were on sale for $80(USD). They're usually $200. I've never looked into XIBERIA before, so I have no idea whether this is a great opportunity or not. However, I also noticed the Logitech G430, which is normally $80 and is currently $55, have the same exact specs. As a non-audiophile, I don't know what I should base my decision off of then. Also, my main reason for getting a new headset is that my current headset, the PDP Afterglow Kral, is extremely uncomfortable and I can't wear it for more than an hour without headaches and sore ears. Part of that is that it almost weighs 4 fucking pounds, but it may also be the cup design. They're almost perfectly round, with a lip that sits behind and under your ears. I don't know if the shape is part of the issue or not, everyone has different needs for comfort. The G430 is under a pound and uses a different cup design, and the T18 is just over a pound and uses a perfectly round cup. My first question is: what can I expect the true difference between these two headsets to be, and what should I base my decision off of? My second question is: whether I should expect the T18 to have similar comfort issues based on the shape, or does that come more down to weight and material?
