Hello! I am looking to buy a gaming laptop for somewhere around $1000 and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a laptop that would be better than another. I would like it to be able to run games such as Escape from Tarkov and Rainbow 6 Seige but I understand if there is a need to go higher in price for that kind of performance. Thanks!

Hey, I am not getting the fps I believe I should be getting with a 1080, and I'm kind of at a loss here. I think it might be a CPU bottleneck (My CPU is a few years old), but I'd like to get some second opinions before I go out and drop money on a new CPU and motherboard. Here some game I am seeing dips/lower fps in: Fallout 4: Dips to about 45 in many areas. I use about medium-high settings, but changing this doesn't do all that much. Overwatch: I play on basically the lowest settings at 1080p and sit around 120. Playeruknown's Battlegrounds: I constantly drop to 20 fps and it seems to just be me (I play with people who get a constant 60-80). CSGO: I can usually stay around 160-200 fps, but I play on 4:3 at lowest settings and this drop drastically when I go to 1080p. These are my system specs from dxdiag: ------------------ System Information ------------------ Time of this report: 4/20/2017, 22:45:41 Machine name: DESKTOP-PJT487R Machine Id: {3A67C84D-B844-4BCD-BCBD-9AE59DF9826F} Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit (10.0, Build 15063) (15063.rs2_release.170317-1834) Language: English (Regional Setting: English) System Manufacturer: To be filled by O.E.M. Hey there, so I am planning a High-End-Build: Product Price CPU: Intel Core i7 7700K 359,45 € Cooler: NZXT Kraken X62 159,85 € Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix Z270F 177,85 € RAM: 32GB G.Skill Trident Z RGB DDR4-3000 308,63 € GPU: 11GB Asus GeForce GTX 1080 Ti ROG Strix OC 869,00 € Case: NZXT Source S340 Elite 99,45 € PSU: 750 Watt Corsair RMx Series RM750x Modular 80+ Gold 109,85 € Storage: 256GB Samsung SM961 M.2 127,85 € HDD: 2000GB Seagate Desktop HDD 69,85 € LED: PHANTEKS RGB LED-Stip Combo Set 14,90 € Fan: Aer, RGB LED-Lüfter mit HUE+ LED-Controller - 140mm 89,90 € SUM 2.386,58 € But I have one concern, when I mount the rad in the front with a push/pull config, will there be enough airflow to cool the 1080 Ti? I want to use the 2 Fans in the Top left corner to exhaust. Jayztwocents said that the thermal of this perticular 1080 Ti are impressiv, but he tested on an open-air-testbench, so what about a closed case with a non blower-style-Graphics Card? I hope you can help me ^^ Greeting Baka P.S.: If you see something off in this build feel free to mention it ^^

The laptop I am currently using is a 2013 MacBook pro dual booted. It is a 15inch with a i7 and iris pro graphics. It works perfectly well for what I need it for which is school work and its eh at gaming. It runs most of the games I play. But there are a few which I want to play but I can't. I am going to University in the fall and I am studying pre-med. I want a laptop which will be light and easily portable, lighter than my mac which is about 4-5 pounds, something that is great for a student (considering a surface because of the pen for note taking), and can play all modern titles. I want to be able to play mk10, destiny 2, overwatch, dirt rally/4, ESO, and Elite Dangerous. What do you guys recommend I get or what should I do?

So I was just about to purchase a NH-D15 when I decided to go look at some more benchmarks of other coolers when I stumbled on a bunch of benchmarks comparing the two cooler s in my title above. The U14S is about $20 cheaper in Canada and in all the benchmarks that I watched it had lower temps in everything that has been done. Now I just don't understand how this is happening when the U14S has one less radiator and fan. Ples help

Hi, About 5 days ago, I played watch dogs 2 for the first time. It was great! I had no issues running it on low at 60FPS with my 750Ti. I tried playing it today on the SAME EXACT SETTINGS and only was getting 15-20FPS at max. What the hell is going on? I am a big watch dogs fan, completing the game 4 times when I first got into gaming on my Xbox 360 and now on PC it just ruins the experience.

Hello, (Sorry in advance if this is not in the right section or some other related subject) So I have a question. I realized that a lot of laptops now a days have a 4K screen. But sometimes the GPU can't support 4K, such as a 960m 2gb. Or can it? I honestly don't know. So I'm looking for answers; Why do Laptops have 4K screens if the gpu is not powerful enough? Or am I wrong and can almost any gpu run 4k? and is a 960m 2gb even enough for 4k screens.

I've heard many rumors recently of the alleged 1180/1170 GPUs from Nvidia with a release date speculated for July. Are there any 'official' sources other than the logical information we can gather from previous release dates? What do you think pricing will be like for both AF and FE? Where will they sit on the performance chart? How many Cuda Cores? Clock speed? Temps? Is it worth waiting till the release instead of buying a 1080ti etc. As always thanks for replying to the post! Kind regards, Alexander

I don't have a lot of money and I am looking for a good GPU I can play PUBG and Rainbow six on. Any suggestions in cheap graphics cards? I am currently running off of Intel UHD 630 graphics on my I5 8600k overclocked to 4.3 ghz. It would be great if you could leave a link to Amazon or New Egg as well

So right now I have a I7-4790k @ 4.0ghz and I have a AMD R9 380 4GB. I want to buy and upgrade to a EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 TI SC thats about $469.99. I want to know if it will be even a good idea to upgrade to this, because I wont be upgrading my CPU to anything better in the near future. Will my CPU be a bottleneck to my overall performance in games. I play only at 1080p now at mostly high to ultra settings at around 40fps. I know that a GTX 1070 is kinda overkill for 1080p and mostly for 1440p and little 4K. But I will be most likely getting a 1440p moniter that is 144hz when they are reasonably priced, right now mine is a 1080p 144hz. Such as: Battlegrounds Battlefront 2 GTA 5 Destiny 2 Arma 3 Rainbow 6 etc.

I am wondering what sort of performance I should be getting from my PC. For some reason I was expecting a lot more when I was making my parts list. I get solid frames in most games (around 200+ at 1080p and on Medium settings) but I feel as though something might be wrong after watching the performance of other computers fairly similar and seeing them be well into the 300+ range. My PC has : CPU : Ryzen 7 2700x (OC'ed 4Ghz) GPU : MSI 2080 GamingX Trio 8Gb Mother Board : ROG STRIX X470-F RAM : GSkill Tridentz RGB (2×8Gb) Cpu Cooler : Corsair H115i RGB Platinum

Im currently planning a build that is not gpu intended but im still looking on to driveing a dual monitor setup. What is the best price to preformance gtx 1060 out there?

I would like to add an external gpu to my desktop. I know most will think...why? A little back story: My system is a Dell Poweredge 2900 with 2 quad core CPUs and a GTX 970. The 2900s have 4 PCIE x4 slots and my 970 is cut down to fit the slot, I would like to add a GTX 10something this year or next. I don't want to cut a second card especially if its a 1080. Additionally I cant have it on a PCI ribbon cable because I don't have space for it to hang sideways with the DRAC card and PERC raid controller being directly below it. As dumb as it sounds I would like to put an external gpu on top of the tower instead. Is this feasible or is the tech not there yet? Thank you for the advice.
