On some games my GPU and CPU are both working at about 15%-20% (at about 70-110 fps mostly at games) and I want to push them both more to reach at about at least 70% (or 300fps-400fps) as I do have a 240hz monitor, some of these games are: Gmod, Valheim and genshin impact but some other games like rainbow six, rocket league, valorant and csgo are able to hit fps between 300-560 fps and a very decent percentage of usage I have noticed that the graphic setting, resolution and everything else doesn't matter in these 3 games and these games are downloaded at my second SSD drive(the Samsung one) so it's not the SSD and I really would love to know why are these games are running so slow, please help ..... The temperatures in both the cpu and the gpu don't go over 55C (131F) because I have the funs always spinning on high rpm (sacrificed quietness for better cooling) and I made sure I have the high performance setting in the windows setting, vsync is off, XMP is on, high performance setting in Nvidia's control panel and latest drivers and bios. I just don't know what should I do or how should I fix it or is it just unfixable The pic under is my OC setting and that's my whole set up: PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU Intel Core i7-9700 3 GHz 8-Core Processor $272.20 @ Amazon CPU Cooler Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML240L RGB 66.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler $74.99 @ B&H Motherboard MSI B360-A PRO ATX LGA1151 Motherboard Memory Team T-FORCE VULCAN Z 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-2666 CL18 Memory Memory Team T-FORCE VULCAN Z 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-2666 CL18 Memory Storage ADATA Ultimate SU650 120 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive $37.99 @ Newegg Storage Samsung 860 Evo 500 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive $74.99 @ Walmart Storage Corsair MP600 Force Series Gen4 500 GB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive $99.99 @ Amazon Storage Seagate BarraCuda 1 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive $44.99 @ Best Buy Storage Seagate Barracuda Compute 2 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive $52.99 @ Newegg Video Card MSI GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER 8 GB GAMING X TRIO Video Card Case Deepcool MATREXX 55 V3 ADD-RGB 3F ATX Mid Tower Case $93.74 @ Amazon Power Supply Cooler Master MasterWatt 750 W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply $83.25 @ Walmart Operating System Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM 64-bit $108.78 @ Other World Computing Monitor MSI Optix MAG271C 27.0" 1920x1080 144 Hz Monitor Monitor Samsung Odyssey G7 LC32G75TQSNXZA 31.5" 2560x1440 240 Hz Monitor $796.94 @ Walmart Keyboard Redragon K550 RGB YAMA Wired Gaming Keyboard $76.98 @ Amazon Mouse SteelSeries Rival 500 Wired Optical Mouse Headphones Kingston HyperX Cloud II 7.1 Channel Headset $97.99 @ Amazon Headphones SteelSeries Arctis Pro Wireless Headset $329.99 @ Adorama Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total $2245.81 Generated by PCPartPicker 2021-03-05 23:27 EST-0500

Hello there, I am new to the forum (but not to Linus YouTube channel, been following him since the days in NCIX). I recently bought a new GPU (EVGA XC3 ULTRA RTX 3070) to improve my gaming experience in Cyberpunk. But it seems that everything I have tried haven't improved my performance. I even tried to seek help in Nvidia reddit, but they removed my post (maybe they don't wish to admit the game is garbage or the GPU has some serious issues). Maybe some of you could suggest a fair solution. As title says. Can’t get steady 60fps. Average is 50FPS while in some places it drops to 35FPS. My settings are all High, except ray tracing is on Ultra and DLSS is on Quality. Sometimes while driving I am getting FPS drops. According to monitoring, my CPU is between 70% to 90% while my GPU is constantly on 95%+. Temps are fine (on the 60 ~ degree). I am playing on 2K with GSync monitor. Also Nvidia monitoring shows I have render latency of 30ms. My game is running on SSD. My PC Specs: CPU: I7-7700 GPU: EVGA XC3 ULTRA RTX 3070 PSU: Corsair RM750 WATT GOLD Motherboard: Asus Strix Z270H Ram: Dual Channel 2400mhz DDR4 CL15 2x8GB Storage: WD BLACK Nvme + SanDisk Ultra II SSD + WD Green SSD Things I have tried: Tried to overclock my RAM, got a stable overclock to 2933mhz but there was no difference all. Tried to overclock my GPU, got +100mhz on GPU core, maybe a 2 fps difference? Things I commented on reddit which I am sure will be mentioned here: Please help me to solve this issue.

5800x MAG B550M BAZOOKA on a RYZEN 7 5800X
WhiskeyLeach posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Hi guys, I decided to switch to team Red after dealing with a Intel i5 7600k for a good few years. I already a bought the motherboard and some are saying I "Should have" went with X570. Is there much of a difference will i see noticable preformance? If so I can return it i only paid 120. https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/MAG-B550M-BAZOOKA -
hello, so overtime i bought and upgraded my pc, first a started with a i5 9400f with gtx 1050 ti, 16 gb ram aorus z390 elite 750 watt ps, then i upgraded my gpu to a rtx 3070 and after that i upgraded my cpu to a i5 12400f with B660 Gaming x motherboard. so thats my pc right now, but i have the feeling my pc is not workling optimal, my friend has just bought a pc witha rtx 3060 and a i7 11700k so i should have more preformance than whim, i sit around 300-600 fps but my friend sits around 2200-2800 with same settings. does anyone know if i can check my pc on compatibilty/flaws? thank you for your time and have a nice day

So basically I found a curved 1080p 144hz monitor on sale for a good price that I want to buy, the only problem is that it's specs say it has a 4ms response time. Will 4ms hurt my gaming performance, or can the 144hz refresh help kinda help cancel it out? I don't know much about monitors, so I'm not quite sure how it could affect things. I just upgraded from a gtx 780 ti to a rtx 2060 super, so I really want a new monitor for the higher fps.

Ok idk if this is how i ask people on here for help but hopefully it is but on I have been getting low fps and gpu usage is around 30% at all times EXEPT when im running any benchmarks if i run a benchmark gpu usage goes to 98-100% and it scores good, i have tried a factory reset on pc/ re-installing windows and after testing after re-installing windows the problem is still there so im almost certain its not a setting i changed and i thought it was just my ASUS 2070 super that was messed up i even took it to a pc place and they said its most likely the gpu so literally yesterday i got a 3070 ti and what do you know... its still having the same problem, so i have to believe its my CPU a Ryzen 7 2700x which i was gonna upgrade to a Ryzen 7 5800x sense i have a 3070 ti now my pc specs are evga 3070 ti, Ryzen 7 2700x, G.Skill 16 GB of ram 3200MHz, corsair 750W power supply and a ASUS B450-F gaming Motherboard (bios up to date). this issue caused me to re-found Elden ring because i could only get 40 fps and CoD MW gets low fps like 100 max on low/medium settings all 1080p and watchdogs legion i get like 60-80fps low/medium and i know there not unplayable but it hurts when you get a expensive pc for sucky performance than you should be getting idk if maybe the gpu slot its in is weird(its in 1st one) or what, I've had this problem for years and taken it places and i still have it and its making me loose hope, best news i could hear is its CPU because i wanted to replace it anyway but I'm truly out of ideas. i have tied overclocking with Ryzen master and I've had it boot up to a blue error screen or a black screen and like setting on there say 10000 when normally they are at 147 or somewhere around there so idk if me messing which cpu messed up something with it but if i ever oc CPU in future I'm using bios but any help is greatly appreciated.

So I just bought Metro Exodus for my PC today. The games by itself is about 60GB, which is way too big for my almost full 500GB SSD. My hard drive has 1TB of storage, but it's 5400RPM. Will Metro run fine on such a slow hard drive, or will the games studder horribly?

Hi everyone! i have a laptop and a pc, laptop has rtx 3060 and a Intel Core i7-12700H. pc has a rtx 3070 and a intel core i7 13700kf. but in minecraft i seem to have better preformance with my laptop, i was looking at my fps in a contained area with lots of players i got 300 vs 100(i was playing minecraft pit and on pc i had to lower settings lower than laptop to play not even being in the laggy middle, on laptop i could jump into they middle with more fps than my monitor can handle). i ran it again on laptop with more background usage(if i am correct dont have access to pc rn), they are both on windows 11 and they have the latest gpu drivers. further temps on laptop are higher, laptop has more background apps. same minecraft version and laptop has ddr5 vs ddr4 on pc. can anyone help me? i just upgraded my pc with a lot of money so i am kinda scared for faulty hardware

have a old Alienware laptop that ive used in the past to play r6, csgo, and rust a few years back, although it was slow. I dusted it off and it ran stupid slow so i upgraded the ram, hdd to 1tb Samsung evo ssd, and put new thermal paste in but it was still running trash. I reinstalled windows and Alienware's stupid drivers and even down graded to windows 7 witch helped a little, but it still runs insanely slow, 5fps on csgo slow. Sometimes when it restarts it will be alot better than next restart its back to trash performance. I checked the power settings and everything is on max. Do yall have any recommendations on what it could be or is the laptop just e waste? im not expecting the thing to ever be much better than a browser and low fps csgo machine but how its running now dosnt make sense because i used it with worse parts to play these same games a few years ago, its at the point web browsing is painful. .

Hello everyone, this is my first post here so bear with me! I recently downloaded Hogwarts Legacy, but the performance was horrible, topping ~20 fps and sometimes going as low as single digits in new areas. This was also with medium graphic settings and no ray tracing. Hogwarts is also not the only game I have been experiencing lower performance than expected (Though this case was especially bad), VR had a surprisingly low performance as well (Not too bad though). So, my question is then, is my computer in need of an upgrade or is there perhaps something spooky going on? My setup is listed as follows: Motherboard: MSI B550-a pro (Configured to run 3200MHz memory) CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 (Overclocked to ~4GHz) GPU: GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER 8GB (GIGABYTE) Memory: Corsair VENGEANCE RGB PRO 16GB (2x8) 3200MHz Storage C: KINGSTON SA2000M8500G (500GB) Storage D: SEAGATE BarraCuda 2TB (st2000dm008-2fr102) PSU: Corsair CX650M (650W) The D: storage is something I think may have something to do with the poor performance. This is because Steam and all of my games are located on that drive, and it's not the fasted drive you can have. While I was writing this I also tested Hogwarts Legacy on my laptop, which did not experience any lag what so ever (admitley, the laptop is better than my PC, it's quite sad I know). My laptop is a Omen 15 with the following specs: Motherboard: HP 88D1 CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600H (no overclocking) GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU Memory: SK Hynix HMA81GS6DJR8N-XN (16GB 3200MHz) Storage C: WDC PC SN730 SDBPNTY-1T00-1006 (1TB) PSU: Unknown Does any PC guru have an idea of what might be the problem or the best way forward? Thank you in advance! (EDIT: I forgot to mention that I run 1920x1080p on my PC) ANSWER: It seems that having the game on the HDD is not very recommended. I am going to invest into another M.2 Thank you everyone for the very quick responses!

Is anybody able to let me know how the R9 280X should preform? This card is being given to me free of charge to use in my new pc build, and I was wondering how soon I should plan to upgrade. I'm planning to play AAA games in 1080p, and I'm pretty lenient on the graphics settings. I am trying to figure out how much the Samsung rapid mode really helps or not here is a test bench off of the Samsung Magician. https://gyazo.com/b924cdde7f3b1bdafd7562cec10da978 and a follow up under moderate load https://gyazo.com/2c0056819cefcfd4c8d3b5bdc7ac6bd0 i7-4790k cpu, OC to 4.4GHz 16GB DDR3 vengence 1600MHz ram Z97-A mobo Samsung Evo 850 250GB Windows 10 pro 64-bit Samsung Magician version 5.0.0 I am wanting to figure out why such the drastic increase in read and write by just turning on the rapid mode on Samsung Magician that puts it well above what it was doing slandered.
