I'm trying to solve an annoying problem, my pc keep crashing while gaming ( it never crashed while doing normal tasks, at least until now ... ) , the screen suddently become black and the pc restarts. I have a dual monitor setup and if both screens are connected to my GPU they stay black and the mobo beeps 5 times, but if during the crash one of the monitor is attached to my motherboard it displays the windows login again and there aren't any beeps, so I supppose it was because there wasn't any diplay signa.l At first I tought it was a faulty psu problem, but I have changed it with a new one and it keeps happenning. I've already tried to test my gpu with 3dmark, furmark, occt and it doesn't crush. I've test my cpu too with occt and cinebench, again no crashes. After all of this I've tried testing my rams for 3 hours and a half with memtest86 without any error. Olso, I've resetted the bios to the default settings, but it didn't solve anything. The only thing that I have done was to enable the xmp profile of my rams, but again it crashes even without it. I'm desperate and I don't know what to do. I've already spent more money than my initial budget. Oh, and I even tried attacching my pc to a different power socket without any result. The only system error in the windows event logger is a generic kernel error 41 there aren't any logs anywhere. Hello, I have been having this issue sporadically for about a year now. At first it was very rare, however its been happening more frequently now (around once or twice ever 2 weeks). Randomly, especially while playing games, my pc will just... restart. it will then boot back up, no blue screen, nothing. I even checked event viewer and i cant see anything that it would say is wrong apart from an unexpected restart. Now, to explain everything might be a bit long but before that below are my PC specs: GPU - MSI 2070super CPU - AMD 5800x MoBo - Gigabyte X570 I Memory - G.Skill Trident Z Neo 32 GB PSU - Cooler Master V850 SFX GOLD 850 W Case - Cooler Master NR200P CPU Cooler - Arctic Liquid Freezer 2 running two monitors, 1440 and a 1080 If I have missed any other useful specs you can let me know. When I first built my PC on the 11th of January 2020, I encounter a blue screen after 30 minutes of usage. This problem was caused by my memory not being supported at 3600Mhz. To fix this, I underclocked it to 3200Mhz and have kept it there ever since without issue. (Originally my specs had the ryzen 3600 and a 750W corsair PSU. I was also using the NZXT H200 case) Even back then, I did sometimes have this random restarts issue, although it was much more rare than now. Fast forward to when I replaced my case, CPU, and PSU, I accidentally used my CableMod cable from my old corsair PSU on my GPU. At this time, the PC would simply not turn on, and my new PSU would make a *click* noise and then a light on the MoBo would blink. After 5 minutes of googling I found the issue, replaced the cable with the one that came with my Cooler Master PSU and turned it on with no issue. After a few days, while gaming, my PC would randomly restart. No errors, no blue screen, even Event Viewer wouldnt say anything other than unscheduled restart. So, I ran MemTest over night (8hrs) and got zero errors. And here I am today. Writing this after yet another random restart in the hopes someone might be able to give me an idea of what is causing my PC to restart. This happened on my old PSU and CPU as well as my new ones. I also cant exactly replicate the restart cause i dont know what causes it to restart. I should also add, that my temps under load are pretty good for a small form factor case. My CPU never goes above 75c and my GPU never goes above 81c. Honestly the only thing left that might be causing the issue could be the electric outlet / the electricity coming from the outlet to the PSU. Unfortunately I cant really fix that and I have no idea to test if my home electricity isnt stable or something. I was posting on here to ask if failing hardware somewhere could cause random restarts without errors. I have updated drivers and BIOS. Could I have damaged my GPU with the wrong cable incident? Will a UPS solve the issue? If so, which UPS would you recommend as I have no clue about UPS's. I have attached the HWMonitor after doing a 3DMark timespy run as well as the timespy score incase that helps anyone. Sorry for such a long post here. Hello everyone! My PC Build: CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 (With the stock cooler) GPU: PowerColor Radeon™ RX 5700 XT 8GB GDDR6 (The one with the blower style Cooling) MOBO: ASUS PRIME X470-PRO (With 5406 BIOS Vers.) RAM: Corsair VENGEANCE (RGB) PRO - 16GB - 3200Mhz PSU: Corsair CX650M DISKs: 1x SSD INTEL for OS (No NVMe, but SATA) & 1x WD Blue 1TB Im new here, not good in english but I need your help! Everything is new! I bought the parts and assebled it about 1-2 weeks ago. I did a clean install of the OS and install all the Drivers needed (AMD Chipset, Graphics Card Radeon Software latest Vesion 20.2.2 etc). So then I tried to play a random game "Assasins Creed-Black Flag" (Random Choise the first time). I played for 15 minites and then suddenly my PC freezed(about 1 sec freeze) and restarted immediately. I tried other games (EVE, BlackOps) and same thing happened. Some of them the restart was very fast without a freeze. Also first time had XMP Profile - OFF. Then I enabled it and there was no difference. So I started searching the web. I saw that many people had problems with new AMD graphics cards Drivers and they suggested to try the DDU and clean install again of the drivers. I used the DDU for about 4-5 times and after each one I opened the games and got a restart again. Then I did RAM MemoryCheck with some softwares like MemTest64. Run it all night and got no Errors. Downloaded OCCT to see Temps and when I benchmark it everything seems prety normal. (I can try again and post here Screenshots if that helps) Some say is the PSU. I didnt try to RMA it because i just bought it but I can do that easily. I beieve is the Radeon Drivers. Maybe it could be an harware incompatibility or RAM wrong timing or maybe just bad temps. But hardware issue? everything is new ? Also I have to mention that I got a crash while I was browsing ONLY 1 TIME. never happened again since i disabled harware accelerator at my browser and malwarbytes.

My PC: GPU: Gigabyte RX 580 8gb Motherboard: Asus Rog Strix B450 F CPU: Ryzen 7 2700x Ram: 8GB G.Skill 3200 Mhz So my pc restart after i want to play any game, even minecraft at lowest settings. I can go to the main menu but only for couple of seconds. I switched the GPU from a RX 580 to a GTX258 and it worked But the GPU can't be dead because it worked in my last Pc. Maybe the drivers? I did a clean install of the drivers. First deleted all with DDU. Then downloaded the newest driver. But what i noticed is that the fan of my RX 580 isn't spinning. Because it have the "Stop Fan" feature. So I turned the fans with MSI Afterburner to 50%. But it still restarts.

It happens very randomly. It happened today, then 2 and 4 days ago. Before that it happened 2 weeks ago. It never happened during gaming yet, but always on desktop doing basic stuff like browsing and opening some programs. Computer always freezes for 3 seconds, then restarts (i hear fans going loud which happens when booting, and I can tell the PC doesn't get through the boot process because the fans won't stop being loud), but i get "no signal" on screen, I have to press the reset button to make it boot. About 3 weeks ago I upgraded my PC parts (motherboard, CPU, RAM and storage), and not long ago before that, my PC restarted without warning on those old PC parts, but there was no freeze and no "no signal", it just restarted, it never happened to me before and I think it might be related. Today I also removed my SSD where Windows was installed, and Installed Windows on HDD, still crashing. I also ran HCI Memtest over night, reaching 1000% coverage without issues. There is no overheating. I can play games for hours without issues, perhaps I was just lucky not to get crash in game. What could it be? I also tried reseating components. I also Installed "WhoCrashed" program, but it claims there was no error dump file created. I get no BSODs. My ups was working fine. It's been 1week i upgraded my gpu (rx 590) So today i was playing games and suddenly electricity is gone and my pc restarts. This is the first the in this week So i don't know that will it restart again when i'm not playing games I'll check it when power will be back. I'm using power guard 650va ups Isn't this enough for my whole system while playing games? I5 6400 16gb of ram Rx 590 8gb 1ssd 2 hdd 5 120mm cassis fan Thermaltake 630w psu And 1 1080p LG monitor

Issue My computer restarts any time I'm playing games. Anything more than League of Legends will crash at any time, and even LoL crashes if I'm trying to use Skype at the same time. It's not the issue I've had in a previous PC, where any game crashes right as the power ramps up (fixed by upgrading the PSU.) Right now, I can launch Path of Exile, for example, and play for 5-10 minutes before it crashes. It seems to be an issue with memory. I have 2x4GB Kingston HyperX Blu, which is all recognized in BIOS, but 4GB is apparently "hardware reserved" (Resource Monitor screenshot.) I ran Memsched.exe, which did not identify any errors with my memory. It's possible that these issues are just damage over time since one of my case's panels has been busted for the past year. The components are exposed, but I take care of dust settling pretty often. Potential Solutions? As far as I know, IF this is a hardware issue, I need to try new RAM, then a new motherboard. If you have suggestions, let me know. If it costs money, I won't be able to try it for quite a while. Edit: Users Bonsai99 and Altecice suggested a new PSU, which I will take as my primary fix for these errors.
