Hello im newbie here but i need help. I bought a new gpu and when i plug my second monitor it was ok and i tried to change resolution because i am stupid and this appeared. I tried reinstalling my gpu drivers but nothing changed. I look in internet and found somethings but i don't want to make my pc to safe mode. Is there any other way? Or will it repair if i reinstall my windows? Thanks!

Hey guys, so i've been having problems with my pc recently. Whilst updating my GTX 750 Ti drivers (it was supposed to be a clean install) And while installing new drivers my screen went black and there was a box in the middle saying "Out of range" I checked youtube and a lot of forums and only saw things about safe mode and for some reason when my computer would be starting up and i would be mashing down the F8 key, it would only give me the option to go into the windows 10 bios or the motherboard asus bios so i went into the asus bios i looked through it and i found a option to enable intergrated graphics and i thought that would fix my problem with the out of range screen, but it only got worse. By enabling that settings my computer's monitor now said 'No signal detected' i rechecked all my cables and they were fine. I really need help to solve this. Maybe someone has the same ASUS motherboard bios and could give me the walkthrough or screenshots on how to turn off intergrated graphics because when i start up my computer it only shows "No signal detected" and i would need to probably turn off the intergated graphcis while not being able to see my screen. Please someone help me because being stuck ar home doesnt help. Thank you for reading

This problem is really strange and happens inconsistently. When I turn on my PC, everything goes normal, goes through bios screen, windows logo, then stops and this message appears. . This happens once in 10-15 boots. This is really annoying me as I have no clue where is this coming from... My graphics drivers are updated to the latest version. I didn't set my resolution to be out of range of my 1080p monitor's resolution. I tried going to Nvidia control panel to see if changing few settings would do anything, I tried to change "Perform scaling on" to "GPU", didn't do anything, same thing. To temporarily fix this I just turn off and on the monitor and I'm in desktop. My specs: Monitor: Benq xl2430t (@144Hz) GPU: MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X CPU: Core i5 6600K MB: Gigabyte Z170 Gaming K3 PSU: Seasonic M12II-EVO620 80 Plus Bronze RAM: Kingston Hyper Fury X 2x4Gb 2666MHz Windows 10 As I said above. Why the hell does this happen inconsistently, like once in 10 boots? And what is causing this? Please help guys!

I OC'd my monitor to 85hz, but the monitor's overlay saying "Input signal out of range" still appears even though my desktop, etc. is clearly working and visible at 1440x900@85hz. After about 30 seconds the monitor goes to sleep too. Anyone know how to "convince" the monitor it's all good and make it drop the overlay and stay on?

Yesterday i tryed option in amd control center called "gpu scaling",i know what that option does but didnt know that it will break my system and that i will get permanent out of range on my screen without any solution,i tryed everything in my power to fix that,seems that nothing is working,for some reason i can't even boot in safe mode today(still getting out of range 74.9khz/60hz),what should i do guys?i dont have another monitor to check that and can't get one neither.Please help,my pc is usless after that click on "gpu scaling" option.

Hi community. Since I first built my PC I ran into the issues of "out of range" messages on my monitor when my system first booted and it still does, I had a horrible time trying to figure out how to set up a PC without a display.(Literally) After a day of digging I decided to use a old TV and connect it via HDMI and i was finally able to see video. Installed everything updated everything and all cool. BUT I still have the problem 1 month after that when ever I boot my PC i won't see anything aside of "out of range" on my monitor until windows loads (unless I'm using a TV). I've tried everything I could find regarding the out of range from clean install of display drivers to submitting a ticket to AMD and updating my chipset drivers still every single time I reboot or boot in general I get a out of range until windows load meaning if I ever needed to enter to safe mode or BIOS I won't be able to. I'm overclocking my 60hz monitor and got it to 77hz but there's a pop up that says "monitor out of range" and goes to sleep after 30 seconds if I don't cancel the overclock (I'm using Nvidia control panel to overclock). Is it possible to override the error message and keep the overclock?

I have been using this card and monitor for over a year now and i just encountered this problem. After using the computer for a while it either by playing games or using it to render 3d animations the screen goes black and it gives me the message HDMI out of range. I have also tried using the DVI-D port and that one after a while give me a power saver mode on the screen. I have tried a factory reset and it still does the same thing. All of the drivers are up to date.I have a GTX 970 and an LG Flatron E2241 monitor.

This issue first came about when I tried to play an old PS1 game through my PS2 which was connected to capture setup which is Elgator game capture HD (not the 60FPS model). PS2 and original X Box games work fine but the PS1 games give me the out of range message. I am familiar with what this error means however I was wondering if anyone has found a way to get around it so the image can be displayed? I recently got my orginal Sega Megadrive connected to it as well and would love to start creating videos for those games. Thanks in advance for any help

Hi so i just bought a nvidia geforce 8800 gt card for like $10 at an old computer parts store. when i plugged it into my computer it passed the POST and i can see the bios screen and everything then when it gets past starting windows for windows 7 pro 64bit the monitor goes black and says out of range. this was a 1920x1080p monitor. i then tried to use it on an old TFT monitor and i still get an out of range message. what does this mean. does it mean that i got a bad graphics card or? sadly the card is an AS IS item so i cant return it. any help guys? thanks

Hi guys i have a problem and need some help This is my pc: ASUS Z170-A Intel i5 6600k 16gb ddr4 Ram I have no GPU yet (unless that intel® hd graphics 530 chip) i am using my mobo's VGA port for my monitor which is a very old one Sony SDM-HX95 you can see its specifications here http://specsen.com/monitors-sony/sony-sdm-hx95/ i built my pc yesterday, installed windows 10 home and everything was fine then i change my screen resolution a little bit then my monitor turned black and "Out of range resolution>1280x1024" error msg appeared. i could not take it back so i got an HDMI cable and connected my LCD TV to my PC. when i did that my monitor also started working. to make it clear this is how it looks like My monitor-----(VGA cable)------My Motherboard's VGA port---MY PC--- My Motherboard's HDMI port-------(HDMI cable)----My LCD TV here is the funny part that i dont understand. In display settings if I chose CLONE MONITOR i can get image from my monitor and my TV at the same time with lots of different resolution settings, there is no problem. If i unplug my VGA cable i can get image from my LCD TV however when i plug that VGA cable back and unplug my HDMI cable my monitor shows me that "Out of range resolution>1280x1024" error msg again and when i plug HDMI cable back both my monitor and TV works fine again. i tried to change resolution and refresh rate to minimum settings but i can not make my monitor work alone. final and more weird part of my story, i made some more experiment. when everything is set( i have vision from both my monitor and TV) i turned my TV off and see that my monitor is still working fine. i thought that "my TV still has power on it so it may send some signal from that HDMI cable" to prove that theory i unplugged my TVs power cable so that there is no electricity on my TV now but my monitor kept working. when i unplugged the HDMI cable my monitor stopped working. i am sorry if i am talking like a complete moron but thats all seems very weird to me. i hope you guys can understand what i am talking about because of my terrible English and give me some advice. thanks in advance

Hey guys i just downloaded windows 10 and moved it to a USB drive via a software ,now when i fire the PC up and select to boot from the USB ,Windows 10 logo comes for a while and then my screen says "out of range" i tried to connect the PC to the TV screen and it said "Invaild Format" . PS:i don't use a external graphics card i use the on board graphic adapter.

So I just built my first rig, and purchased a monitor too. Now this isn't a problem I have with all games (such as Split Second), but many (such as Crysis). These games can run all sorts of resolutions in windowed mode, but the moment I go to fullscreen on any of them, the monitor shits itself and goes black, showing the words "out of range". In fact some games (such as LEGO Pirates of the Carribean) don't work at all, and the monitor gives an "out of range" error on launch. Anyone have an ideas what could be the issue? I've tried inenabling/disabling Vsync but to no effect. My monitor is the ASUS VN248: 60 Hz, 1080p, HDMI. The GPU is a 280. Running an HDMI link. Cheers
