My specs are as follows: Intel 2600 (Early 2011) MSI P67A-GD65 (Early 2011, updated to last BIOS) 14GB DDR3 (1333 mHz) Gigabyte RX 570 "Gaming OC" (bought Q3 2018) Antec HCG850 Bronze (850W Bronze) Windows 10 Pro (latest) My problem: Over the course of the last one and a half years I have had stability issues in a number of games. Examples of these include Kingdom Come Deliverance, Nier Automata, Dark Souls 3, Apex Legends and Need For Speed Heat. By instability, I'm specifically referring to crashes to desktop and some BSOD with the message "MEMORY_MANAGEMENT". These occur *very* frequently - every 20-30 minutes, sometimes less. What I've tried: The temps aren't a problem: 60 °C on the CPU and 70 °C on the GPU. I've ran memory tests, with no errors being reported. I've tried multiple different versions of AMD's drivers. I disabled as many background apps and overlays as I could (including Steam and Radeon overlay). I also re-installed Windows a week ago, to no avail. My request: I assume my pc is too old. Yet I've seen many people online claim that the CPU is still a-okay today. Would I (based on your experience) have the same issue 5 years from now after spending $1000+ on a new rig? Is it merely a problem with AMD GPUs? Is there anything else I could try?

I need some help trying to overclock my watercooled i7-760 so it won't bottleneck on my 1060 6gb ver. when im trying to play AAA games like warzone and apex. But i'm also going to guess its also my 12gb of ddr3 that's not helping either

Shortly after building it life happened and it's only begun getting real use as of recent because I graduated school and have everything in order. The current specs are as followed: CPU: A10-7860K Quad-Core 3.6GHz, Boost 4.0GHz. Motherboard: MSI A78M-E35 V2 Storage: Western Digital Blue 1TB, PNY SSD 240GB GPU: GeForce GT 710 (Put in when I knew less about computer hardware) Power Supply: Corsair Builder 430W 90+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply RAM: Patriot Viper 3 16GB (2x8 GB) DDR3-1600 I want to focus more on the PSU, GPU and RAM right now. I'm not quite sure of the proper budget considering the age of the parts. I use the stock cooler that came with my CPU. Any recommendations are welcome! TIA!

I have a dell inspirion 2320 from, 2008, 09? And i started to play around with it again since i wanted to get into pcs again, and when i try to start it up it gets stuck in a boot loop, i see the dell start up screen but windows refuses to start, is there any way to fix this?

Hello, I would like your help in deciding on the best option(s) for improving my video card. My system will be 6 years old at the end of this month, but it is in my opinion, and that of UserBenchmark, that my video card is not keeping up with the times. Six years ago when I purchased the system I did so for gaming (Max Payne 3, Tomb Raider, Hitman and the Master Chief Collection, recent purchase). However, until recently I had been doing far less gaming and more office work (Microsoft Office, Teleconferences, etc.) on my system. However, due to current circumstances in the world, I have had more time to game and watch 4K video. The problems I have been having are that my video card can only support 4K video at 60Hz through its display port and my display, which is my television, does not have a display port connection. Further, when I play my games at the highest settings I get much less than 60 fps with my current setup. So my question is what are my options for upgrading my video card. I would like a card that would be able to maintain 60 fps on my current games, as I don't expect to be buying many more new games, and can support 4K video at 60hz through an HDMI connection. My budget is a maximum of 600$ CDN ~ 400 Euros ~ 440 USD. Thank you for your help. while my main gaming pc is dead from my post below i got another pc from my basement its from my fathers work i guess they bought it a couple year back but didnt use it so they gave it to us because its old now Anyways when i try to install windows 7 ultimate on it after its done installing windows and it restarts then i get a Disc Read Error when it boots back up i looked in the boot setting in the bios and i moved the drive to position #2 because i cant put it in #1 when i move whats in #1 it just gets disabled so idk what else to do i mean the drive cant be dead cause windows goes onto it

Dear Forum people, so I have a 7ish year old pc: MB: intel dh77eb (2013, discontinued, support ended fall this year) I7 3rd gen processor 3.4 GHz (i think 3730?) GPU: GT640 2SSD and 1 HD CoolerMaster PSU 350W 6GB ram DDR3 1600MHz OS: win10 1909 build 64bit To upgrade I bought a GTX1660Ti a new CoolerMaster PSU https://m.alternate.nl/Cooler-Master/MWE-450Watt-Bronze-v2-voeding/html/product/1551849 And Hyperx 2x8GB ram. and a new monitor After swapping out components (which I did with one of those antistatic bracelets, power disconnected) the pc would turn on, fans start spinning, i get about a second of bios screen then funky multicoloured snow for a split sec and then black. Fans ramp down and it’s like it’s idling. Screens says no input detected. Pressing the powerbutton turns the pc off immediatedly. So far i did: tried to update the bios, which fails for some reason. Took out the Cmos battery for 10 min to clear it. Took the card out and put it back in just to check about 5 times now. Put my GT640 back in to check if the other parts were operating as should which was working fine. Ram is recognized as should. put the GTX1660Ti back in, forgot the plug the PCI cable back in, use the MB onboard Graphics for a while. updated windows, Turned off auto updates. Went into safemode and used DDU to clear all nvidia drivers. Tried to install new driver in safe mode for the GTX1660Ti both older version and latest. it keeps either saying windows version is not supported or cant find GPU hardware. I even tried to install in safemode with signature bypass mode. I dont have a spare system i can plug the GPU in to check if t works, bur judging that it does show screen, albeit for a second, i suppose it works. I’m starting to think it’s the GPU maybe as the PCI cable is a 2x 6+2 plugs. I’ve tried both plugs in both 6 and 6+2 configuration, yielding different results. Either 1 sec bios then snow then black, no bios, 1 sec snow then black Endless Frozen bios screen, though stuck without options like F2 for settings. I’m scratching my head. I read multiple things on MB’s beeing old? Though other sources state as long as it’s PCI3 supported it should work. My GT640 works fine but doesn't use a PCI plug from the PSU. I’m anxious to try it with my old PSU. As it’s only 2x12vx18A max 342W rated. any thoughts on this one? Could the GPU simply be bad? i bought it new from a legit website MSI build.

My Girlfriend pc is in need of a little upgrade. I live in Edmonton just minutes away from Memory Express south location so i would be buying parts that are in stock there. https://www.memoryexpress.com/Clearance/Store/Edm1 She has a RoG CrossHair V Formula-z motherboard with a AMD FX-4170 I'm going to give her my GTX 970, and upgrade mine to something a bit better she needs a new PSU and soming thats better than the stock cooler for what ever CPU i can upgrade to. Mostly used for gaming & streaming Budget is only 800.00 $CAD So what i need for 800.00 $CAD or less: A CPU thats better than AMD FX-4170 that is compatible with CrossHair V Formula-z motherboard (amd or intel dose not matter) A graphics card thats better than GTX 970(any nvidia brand) Any PSU thats 750 Watts any brand, dosent matter if it modular or not though modular would be nice if it fits in budget any decent CPU cooler that will fit this Mothermoard/cpu, smaller size would be better, little tight in the case.

I am looking for advice when it comes to playing older, 20 year old RTS/City builder games. Titles like Age of Empires II Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds Saga Zeus/Pharoah/Ceaser I got my hands on a Dell Dimension of some kind, it's got a Celeron D CPU, runs on DDR1 memory, and has NO VGP or PCI E ports. I'd like to use it to play older titles that do not like my much more modern machine. Here are my questions. Do I need to consider getting it some kind of graphics chip, and would it hurt to connect it to my 2k monitors (I am aware that my older games won't display in 2k and that's fine) Are there any anti virus programs I should consider? I also will be getting a Compaq Presario SR5605F which runs Vista, and has some more modern features. Could I run a 32 bit Windows 7 and get good compatability, or am I better off sticking to the older PC. Thanks for the comments

I was thinking an rx580 'cuz current prices are 100$ give or take. But to make it more appealing; maybe a 1660ti or 1060? Do I look for a good deal on a gtx980ti or something of that realm? I've been working with an older computer, it has good specs for what it is but doesn't have a graphics card. Since I'm thinking on using it as my main computer I need a new graphics card, my budget isn't too big and from my research a GTX 960 seems to be the best bang for buck in my case. Even though most of my pcs have amd cards and I quite like them, I'm looking on the green side this time because of CUDA acceleration on Adobe Premiere since I edit a couple of videos occasionally and CUDA reduces a bit cpu usage wich will be important. The computer has an Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 @ 2.66Ghz, 8gb ram and the mobo is an Intel DG965WH. What I'm worried about is the motherboard, the cpu and ram is ok, the motherboard in the other hand is a bit old tech, the only PCIe x16 I believe is a 2.0, and the 960 is x16 3.0. My knowledge on PCI is a bit rough, the rest I would say it's pretty good Is this an issue? Is it too much of a stretch that a bottleneck will be noticeable? (Thinking on the white MSI GTX960 oc, and if you know any way to overclock the cpu with this mobo please reply) Thanks in advance
