So yeah, I’m going for a pre build. I know it’s “not the way” but what else can ya do in todays day and age? Anyway I’ve been looking for something small (around the same length and width as an Xbox Series X) and not distracting (minimal RGB lol) and I came across the NZXT H1. For what they offer (despite it being intel and not Ryzen) and the price, it seems pretty respectable and something for me. I have heard about the Riser issue (which should be fixed now) and the Sea Sonic PSU’s not being to great and a fire hazard (don’t know if that’s been fixed yet lol) so I’m not sure if the H1 is still good for today or not. FYI I have like a 4 core pc with a lame GPU so this would be my first ever real pc. Also if anyone has any alternative small form factor pre builds (around $1000 USD) that they can share, that would be nice! thanks!

Hey, I got a nzxt h1 and msi gaming x 1080ti(used) (325x140) recently. the gpu would definitely not fit. would it be okay if just keep it open case and keep gpu on something to avoid force on riser cable. any suggestions will definitely help. thanks in advance.

I am absolutely loving my NZXT H1, but one thing I am missing from switching to Ryzen is the front panel USB 3.1 Gen 2 connector. I frequently use it to move large data files on and off my PC to a portable SSD, and as many of you may know most Ryzen X570 boards dont have the internal USB 3.1 Gen 2 header. So essentially I only have one full sized USB 3 port of the top of the case which is making things rather difficult when the motherboard only has 5 ports as is. My question is, does anyone know of a cable that would take the internal USB 3.0 20 pin connector and have it split out to a USB C, AND USB Type A. Even if the mounting is different I could find a way to make it work in the case. My searching has not yielded any results. Just wondering if anyone has found anything. The attached picture is an example of how sliger approaches the same issue, and unfortunately they will not sell just the cable. Just wondered if anyone else ran into or was bothered by this.

Just looking to get opinions on whether I should upgrade my PSU for the 3080. I will NOT be over clocking. I have seen a lot of people modding their psu cover into a screen. How do I do this because I have seen people using a pi screen and routing the cables to the gpu and motherboard. I dont know what I need for the screen and how do I attach the screen to the PSU. Can someone tell me the parts I need and how do I mount it to the psu cover.

And I currently have a 4K 60Hz monitor. Ok first I apologize for the length of this one, so Nvidia has released the specs of their new GPUs which is what I have been waiting for. I want to get the 3080, yes I know the 3070 is probably a better option especially for convenience sake, I already know the 3080 will fit in the case looking at the dimensions on Nvidia's spec sheet and even though it recommends a 750W PSU after doing the math I should have about 168W of headroom with the 650W PSU. Not ideal but it should work fine. My main concern is cooling. The GPU will be mounted vertically using a riser cable. A traditional GPU the backplate is facing the the inside of the case right next to a solid, non ventilated, sheet of aluminum case while the fans are facing outside to the ventilated case From my understanding the 3080 uses a push pull design but the renders show it in a traditional atx case so I am having trouble trying to visualize the airflow in my case. And there being no 3D models on Nvidia's website I can freely rotate around makes this a bit more difficult. Im wondering how the ventilation, airflow, and cooling would behave in my case? And if it would be a severe detriment in excess heat? Again sorry this is such a long post but being how these GPUs are brand new I wanted to put in as much detail as possible to understand where I am coming from.
