The cpu is the Ryzen 5 5600g so it has an igpu so the build has no gpu. 72430331838__650B1BB8-E2E9-41A8-B724-776349259871.MOV

I recently upgraded from a 5700xt to a 7800xt and wasn’t thrilled with the experience I was having in borderlands 3. After a little searching around on YouTube I watched a video where Linus was explaining and demonstrating how to setup SAM so I thought I’d give it a try. I closed all applications turned off my pc and restarted it and booted to the bios, enabling above 4g decoding and re size bar support. After restarting my pc it’s not posting and my asus board is throwing a white vga light (specs: 5600x, 7800xt, 32gb 3200mhz ddr4, 1tb ssd, asus strix b550)

I got a new CPU (Intel i7-3770) to upgrade my old CPU (Intel i5-2400) and when I put in the new CPU and press power, the only thing that I believe spins is the PSU but it stops and runs repeatedly as shown in the video below. It still boots and posts with the old CPU. Can someone help? The wattage should be below threshold because from a Google search, the i5 has 95W and i7 has 77W. IMG_0456.mov

Hi , I've had this PC running in this configuration for about a year and a half now. Three weeks ago I was cleaning my PC (using an air compressor ) and decided to repaste the CPU while I was busy. Initially the PC didn't turn on at all but then after I reseated everything It turned on but did not want to post. I didn't really have any time to diagnose this myself so I sent it to a computer repair shop(Matrix Computers here in South Africa). The repair shop told me there must've been a power surge or something (blackouts are also a daily occurrence here) because my one stick of RAM died as well as my one HDD and my SSD was corrupted . They also told me that in their testing they discovered that with different graphics cards , my PC would POST , but also at the same time my Graphics would work perfectly in other PCs(just not my graphics card in my PC). When I got home I plugged in my old graphics card and my PC works perfectly. I also bought more RAM to replace the one stick that died. I sent the GPU in for a warranty claim and when I got the response for the claim , they said after extensive testing on multiple different PCs they concluded that there is nothing wrong with GPU and they sent it back to me. So at this point my thought process was that It can't be the MOBO or CPU(because they work perfectly fine with other GPUs). And it can't be the RAM (I just bought fresh RAM). And it can't be the GPU (because the computer repair shop and the warranty claim team said so ). So I bought a new PSU ,And still no luck. I tried to use my old motherboard aswell but it didn't POST on there either (although that motherboard is 5 years old and may also be faulty) . The old motherboard has the ezdebug light and it said VGA. Most recently I transferred my components into an old case I have (because it has a bios beeper) The BIOS beep is a single short beep . System Specs : Ryzen 5 2600 with the stock AMD cooler Asus Prime A320M-K MSI GeForce GTX 1650s Aero ITX OC edition Corsair cv650 PSU 1*8gig + 1*16 gig corsair vengeance 2666 ddr4 RAM(the 16gig stick is the new one) The GPU I'm currently using is a GTX750ti I was using an Antec VP500 PSU The Old motherboard I used to test was an MSI A320M Pro VD Plus I was just using 2*8gig corsair vengeance RAM but one stick died hence the new 16 gig stick I'm currently running Kubuntu 22.04 but was using Windows 10 22H2 when the issues started What I've Tried : Reseating Everything and making sure all my cables are plugged in correctly Booting with only MOBO , CPU and GPU and One stick of RAM Booting with no peripherals Clearing CMOS Every combination of RAM in the slots New PSU New RAM Different Case Trying an old MOBO Tried a different Monitor Tried different PSU power cords and a different HDMI cable Tried using the DVI instead of HDMI Tried updating the BIOS More Information BIOS beep : One short Beep EZ Debug Light : VGA BIOS Version : 6024 * Just finished a BIOS update to 6202 but it didnt help unfortunately Right now I'm using the exact system with a 750ti so I can get my work done. The MOBO is still under warranty but I want to avoid sending it in if possible because Im writing exams soon and need my PC. Thank you for your time

Hello everyone! I hope your all doing well. I am a complete novice with PC's. After getting back my motherboard from MSI after a RMA claim and getting a new processor, my pc after putting it back together still wasn't posting and I couldn't access the Bios. LED debug now lights up on VGA before it lit up at CPU. My graphics card is brand new, I only bought it a couple months ago. In a youtube comment someone suggested to switching out sata cables and to unplug all storage components including the Nvme. Come to find out my boot drive is causing the VGA debug to light up and not post. I can't even access bios. After unplugging it I can now access my bios and I'm also able to access it after installing my Nvme drive back in. What should I do? I'm guessing I need a new boot drive, but where or how should I get it. I have an extra 120gb ssd laying around and thinking about making it my temporary boot drive until my i get something with more storage. Any help or advise is much appreciated, Thank you!! My PC build if anyone needs to know Mobo: MSI MPG z590 gaming plus Processor: I9 11th gen Graphics card: MSI 4080 Corsair vegeance LPX 16gb DDR4

I've had my pc for a good 4+ years with almost 0 issues until recently. I woke up and tried turning my computer on but instead I get a CPU debug light on. The only modifications that I've made recently (past 6 months) was a new headset (couple of days ago) and updated my BIOS firmware (2 months ago). I fixed it initially by re-plugging in the CPU cord on the motherboard but when I turned it off again and tried turning it back on again, another CPU debug light. I tried re-plugging in the cord again and that didn't work. What steps do I try now? Hi there, my friend recently-ish (6mo ago) built a new system (5800x+3080Ti), all was going well till a few days ago. While playing Lost Ark, he started having his computer going into a black screen, and all fans revving fast (assumingly 100%) We tried some old classic (`sfc /scannow`, DDU...) but because the issue was occurring randomly during his sessions, it was pretty hard to know if the changes fixed the issue or not. Then, a new and graver symptom occurred: no POST, after some fiddling, we decided to clear the CMOS to attempt to POST, it worked. However, after doing another cold reboot, same story, no POST till we clear the CMOS. We then changed the CMOS battery, still impossible to POST without clearing the CMOS We followed that by flashing a new version of the BIOS using the manufacturer utilities (i.e. flash from Windows, not from stick/BIOS), but the issue was still occurring. Because he still has his old setup on hand, we ended up doing parts swap to try to pinpoint the problem. Here's our results: (PSU spec: 850 = EVGA 850G+, 650 = EVGA 650G3. Cables were kept with the MB+CPU to avoid toi much fiddling) The test scenario was the following: - After 2 min unplugged from the grid, press the power button (do not clear CMOS, just press the power button) and assert if you have video output. Repeat for every available video outputs. If 0 video outputs worked, then mark as NOK, else, OK. We're leaning toward a faulty GPU, but I'm still unsure due to the fact that, well, it still work in game and we had no crashes so far. (roughly 8-10hrs of gameplay split into 2 4hrs sessions + a 'small' test one). So, before going out and sending the card back for a RMA, I decided to try to do this post to get more eyes on the problem, in case we missed something. Thanks!

Hi, I've recently purchased a Vega 64 (luckily not too overpriced) from powercolor in the red devil design. Unfortunately, it doesn't post at all, here's what I know: Previous owner sometimes had issues with the GPU posting. Previous owner had this issue fixed with a hard restart (taking the power for several minutes). Previous owner could game on it once the GPU started correctly (he provided a benchmark) When the system starts, the red light of the first power stage on the GPU-Tach shortly flashes. The GPU fans spin and the red devil logo is lit. The GPU has no video output if the red light shortly flashed during boot I tried several different mainboards and CPUs with the same result. Tried it out on the Linux system of a friend and the system crashed during driver initialization. GPU worked properly on one boot, on 2 others it also gave a display out but crashed after several seconds. The thermal pads had dust on it, so I changed them, but nothing has changed. I've tested the card on the following systems: #1 Ryzen5 1600x Asus Prime B450 Plus 16gb Ballistix Sport 2666mhz 1x 256gb Samsung 860 Evo Powercolor Red Devil Vega 64 BeQuiet Pure Power 11 650w (2yrs. Hello, Thank you for clicking on my topic. TLDR; No video during post after I deleted a random OEM EFI partition. The long story: I had a random EFI Partition on a drive that I never boot from, it was the original OWM drive that originally stored the OS. I always boot from the SSD which has the OS. I DELETED the OEM partition. Now I don't have any signal out when I try to boot. The reason that I thought to delete the OEM partition was because after I migrated to a new case, it would always prompt me which drive to boot from, regardless of boot priority set in bios. Everything was working after I moved to the new case until I deleted the OEM partition. Specs: cpu: i5-7500 mobo: b250m-hdv ram: crucial 8x2 D4 2100 CL16 original storage: WD 1TB normal storage: 850 evo gpu: 2070 super (not installed) psu: IPSG 750W 80+ FULL ATX PSU Pre-emptively answering questions: I am using the onboard graphics The fans all spin The AIO pump is flowing There are no beeps/post codes/lights I cleared the CMOS (I think, 5-10 minutes no power/no cmos battery, held power button 1 min, returned battery and powered up) Why did I delete the partition? Likely because I'm an idiot and don't think things through before I do them. Questions for you: Did I fuck myself and brick my board? What did I think I was doing by deleting the partition? I thought the drive I was using to boot with was fine. If the bios needs to be updated, can I do it with a USB without any video out? What do I do now? Thank you for your support, you wonderful humans.

apologies for bad formatting on mobile Problem: After enabling secure boot in the bios the pc won’t post, I remember some sort of error about cms come up, my led codes show a red light on everything each moving onto the next but when it reaches the boot led it quickly moves over to the cpu led flashes very briefly and then cuts out and try’s to reboot. Trouble shooting steps I have tried: I have tried removing the cmos battery for varying times from one minute to an hour didn’t fix, I have also tried clearing the cmos by shorting the two clear cmos pin I have also tried removing the gpu and booting from mob graphics aswell as unplugging all sata cables from drives. Hi! I recently upgraded to a 5600x, and I noticed XMP disabled itself, went to enable it and the pc stopped posting. - CMOS reset fixes the problem, but of course disables XMP. - XMP worked great before I upgraded (on 3600X). SPECS: 5600x, b550m Pro4 (BIOS VERSION 1.7), Ballistix 2x8 3600mhz cl16 (BL2K8G36C16U4W), AUROS P750W, CM HYPER212. Don't think it matters, but gpu is 3080, cpu temps are fine (auto oc from ryzen master + passed stress), I didn't change BIOS, ram slots are correct and seated well. What do I do... please help. Thanks. P.S edit: Win10 64bit

Problem: Went to turn on PC. All fans, and lights are on. No signal to monitor.(Checked cable with console, cable does works) MB is throwing a CPU debug light. Background: Built PC 4 month ago. Had no hiccups with flashing BIOS and updating drivers, since I built my machine. Usually keep my PC in sleep mode over night. Symptoms: When PC would not produce a signal to monitor. Notice CPU debug light. Check CPU 8-Pin. Notice pin 1 on my PSU cable extensions must of unseated over night. Treatments: - Took out CE (Cable extension), used PSU cable. Restarted system. CPU debug light. - Reset CMOS: Unplugged PSU from wall. Took out CMOS battery. Held power button for 10-15 seconds. Plug things back together. Restarted system. CPU debug light. - Reseated all PSU cables from PSU. Reseat all PSU cables from hardware, expect SDD. Restarted system. CPU debug light. - Changed to a different CPU pin on PSU. CPU1 -> CPU2. Restarted system. CPU debug light. - Reseated both RAM stick. Restarted system. CPU debug light. - Restarted system with just one RAM stick, then tested with other RAM stick. CPU debug light for each. - Reseated GPU out of desperation. Restarted system. CPU debug light. Future Treatments: - BIOS Flashback - Breadboarding it with a friend Personal Diagnosis: - PSU cable extensions bricked CPU and/or MB - PSU is faulty on CPU output plugs. Specs: CPU: Ryzen 7 3700X MB: Tomahawk B450 Max RAM: 2 x Corsair Vengeance DDR4 3600MHz 8GBs GPU: Nivida GeForce RTX 3060TI PSU: EVGA SuperNova 650+ G+ 80+ Gold, Fully Modular CABLE EXTENSIONS: Asian Horse STORAGE: TForce Vulcan 500GB SDD CASE: Corsair 4000D Airflow. Hello helpful friends. My computer is unable to post. Won't run BIOS if two memory modules are installed. It will boot into Windows if one module is installed, but tends to suddenly and completely shut down after a few minutes of gaming, movie streaming, or using any intensive programs. I appreciate any insight as to what the issue may be, as I am at my wit's end. What I have tried without different results so far: Tested PSU with a tester. Nothing out of the ordinary, all readings normal. Changed cables for every component. Removed GPU, removed WiFi card, removed fans and tried to boot with different combinations of these components being disconnected. Tried booting from a different SSD. Updated BIOS. Cleared CMOS. Tried reseating memory. Tried seating memory in alternate slot configuration (from x✓x✓ to ✓x✓x). Removed CPU and checked for bent pins. No bent pins found. Reinserted and reapplied new thermal paste. Tested with a Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) kit. Same results. Tested with an ASrock B450M Pro4. Same results. Tested with an Asus 1650. Same results. Updated Windows. Reinstalled and reupdated Windows for some reason. Ran memtest86 and Prime95 (each single module separately). No errors found. So I just recently built my first pc, it booted perfectly fine and I installed windows 10 64bit. Today I got around to installing some games and updating drivers and such. I was playing The Forest (great game so far) when my pc just shut off. Tried to boot, reset cmos, reseat ram, and currently it will get a short burst of power .. rgb prism cooler lights up and my pc won’t boot. It worked fine two hours ago. I believe it would be something along the lines of cpu overheating or motherboard short/driver issue but I am new to the pc world and have always played console. Here is the full build. Hey guys, I’ve recently been building this last-gen ddr3 pc out of second hand parts I’ve found and purchased online but it does not post, and it boots up as soon as I turn the psu on. First of all here are its specs: Mobo: msi gf615m-p33 v1.1 (has onboard graphics) CPU: amd Phenom II x4 945 95W version Memory: 2gb 133 + 4gb 1666 (1333) dimm sticks dGPU: msi R9 280 Gaming 3gd5 Storage drive (empty): WD Caviar SE WD2500JS 250GB 7200rpm hdd Psu: Poseidon 500W And here are the symptoms: As soon as I turn the PSU’s switch to on the motherboard turns on (probably a BIOS setting considering it’s a used mobo), but then nothing is displayed on the screen. It’s just blank. Same thing with both GPUs (I’ve plugged my monitor into both of them, one by one) And the onboard buzzer on the mobo does not beep either. Since the psu works well with other systems and so does the ram and the hdd (when plugged externally into other computers) I guess this could only be an issue with the motherboard or the cpu. What do you guys think? If you have any idea please leave a reply, because I don’t wanna feel like an idiot who spent money just to obtain trash... Thanks in advance!

Hello everyone! As the title reads I'm trying to figure out my dead computer and why it won't post. A little while back I had a power surge when my computer was turned on. When we regained power my computer would not turn back on. I have replaced most of the computer parts and I still can't get a running computer. PSU, cpu, motherboard, gpu, etc. With my luck I could have bought already dead parts. I have tried mismatching all of the parts and still nothing, I tired doing a bios update for the new cpu but I don't think I can unless I get into the bios. For both systems built, the lights just turn on and fan spin up but nothing happens on my monitor. I have also unplugged everything and tried one thing at a time. I know this post is a little incoherent but any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I just want to play my games!! And as for post codes I get nothing. All I get is a continuous clock noise. No beeps. If you need any more information just let me know and I'll provide it. Thank you in advance. Old computer parts.. After a long couple of hours I finished my brand new build. I went and hooked it up for the moment of truth! After, 5 minutes I got no post. I tried on my other monitors that I usually use for xbox and still nothing. Also tried different cables but still nothing. I have now removed the gpu and tested with just the CPU (i5-12600kf) out put on the motherboard, I know this chip does not have any graphics but this still shouldn't keep from a post. Unfortunately, I am still not getting anything. What should I do? I spent a lot of many that I made off overtime on this. Here is my spec sheet:

So, second topic, same issue. I have: Ryzen 7 3800x Asus B550-F Gaming Wi-Fi Motherboard EVGA 3070ti FTW3 Graphics Card G.Skill F4-3200C16D-32GTZN Ram The ram will not overclock (no post) no matter what I do. Cross referenced on compatibility, good. BIOS update, good. Both sticks of ram are working, but being the 3rd kit I’ve tried I have no clue what it is that’s causing my system to not post in DOCP. I’ve even gone as far to try a ram calculated and spent hours fiddling with timings and never any luck. Won’t even post at 2400Mhz let alone 3200Mhz. Could really use some help troubleshooting this.. Please.

Just bought my new motherboard, the Rog Strix b550-F ii Wifi gaming and my case is the fractal design focus G. After hooking it all up and going to turn it on the motherboard lights up but the power button on the case won’t work. No post, no fans spinning, nothing that shows any signs of life. when I connect it all to my old motherboard it works fine. I thought maybe it was because my cpu 8pin power connector wasn’t in all the way so I unplugged and replugged that in and still nothing. Tried flipping my power switch front panel connector and even starting the pc with a screwdriver thinking maybe it was just an issue with my connectors. Still nothing. Wondering if maybe this is a bios issue since it’s a new board and I have to update the bios on it? But I don’t think that would cause the pc to not even turn on at all. I don’t reckon the cpu or anything else would be faulty and all my parts were just working fine this morning before I installed the new MobO. Maybe a DOA issue? What are your thoughts and maybe some trouble shoots I can do.

Hello! Specs: CPU: Intel Core i5-9400F RAM: Two 8gb sticks from a HP prebuilt PSU: Corsair CX600 GPU: Nvidia RTX 2060 Motherboard: ASRock Z390 Pro4 All the components have been tested in another system except the motherboard. I don't have another compatible CPU. If I don't have the RAM sticks in A1 and B1 the system seems to boot but doesn't post. The fans turn on and the GPU lights turn on. There is no display at all. I am plugged into the GPU and not the motherboard. After some time (>1min) the system turns off again. I have reseated the CPU, RAM and GPU. I have reconnected the 24-pin, CPU 8-pin and GPU PCI 8-pin connectors. Twice. I have tried a single stick of RAM in each slot at a time and all 2-stick combinations. Any suggestions would be extremely appreciated as I no longer have any ideas! Thank you a ton in advance!

I replaced my Asus B550-E MB with a B550-XE as my case had a USB-C 10G plug and the XE had the proper header for it, (the XE version didn't exist when I built this computer and my PCIe lanes were all used up so I couldn’t add an expansion card with the header). I then decided to take the 2070 Super FE (bought just in the nick of time at MSRP before everything went nuts with GPU prices) from the computer I use for work + gaming, and make a new dedicated gaming computer on the B550-E, (I’m turning one of my kid’s old bedrooms into a gaming / media room). I had a GTX 970 card lying about that I put in my “work” computer. I bought a 5600X for the “gaming” rig along with the same model of PSU that had been powering my original computer. They are very similar, but the “gaming” computer won’t post. The “gaming” computer has: Asus B550-F MB AMD 5600X CPU 2x8G Patriot Viper Steel 16GB (2 x 8G) 3600MHz CL 14-16-16-36 Samsung 980 PRO SSD 1T M.2 nVidia 2070 Super FE Corsair RM550X PSU Cablecc USB 3.1 Front Panel Socket & USB 2.0 to PCI-E Express Card My “work” computer has: Asus B550-XE MB AMD 3700X CPU 2x16G G.Skill Trident Z 32G (2x16G) 3600MHz CL 14-15-15-35 Samsung 980 PRO SSD 1T M.2 nVidia GTX 970 Corsair RM550X PSU ASUS ThunderboltEX 3-TR I attached a speaker to to the gaming computer and it gave a long beep followed by three short ones which according to the Asus website means “An anomaly is detected in the graphic card. If the graphic card needs an extra power supply, please ensure the power supply can provide enough wattage.” I made sure all plugs were seated correctly and changed the “CPU / PCIe” cables to the PSU. I also tried booting with nothing but the CPU, one stick of RAM (the RAM I was initially concerned about as the “DRAM” light on the MB stayed on, but did switch it out with RAM from the “work” computer and it still complained. Cleared CMOS. Also put in the 970 instead of the 2070. Before I RMA the PSU am I missing something? I haven’t swapped the PSUs because while they are modular getting the PSU from the “work” computer would be a pain as it is under a shroud that I can’t get to without removing the MB. I also do not have a multimeter.
