Intel Core i5-6500 Processor watercooled 120mm EVGA NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. H110M-E/M.2 2X8,192 MB G.Skill DDR4 @ 2,132 MHz lexar 512 g nvme + lexar 512g sata thermaltake 750W full size wi-fi and bluetooth front(side)panel usb, digital audio, e-sata argb controler and fans custom case I'm new on the forum from Montréal area. Just wanted to show you guys a little project I made for a young man who just got into the PC world. He had an Xbox for a while but he wanted to play with his dad who is a pc gamer. Since I used to build pcs 15+ years ago, They asked me if I could help them find an affordable pc for him to buy. So I did. Behold the 20mike-mike linked ammobox-pc. All parts have an history but I will try to keep it short and sweet. First need was for a compact low cost PC with high portability so keep that in mind. The case is a 32round 20mm inert linked projectile for grenade launcher with a swivel/removable cover. Found it under 20bucks at the local Princess auto. I scavenged the motherboard tray and accessories from an old antec sonata I had lying around. I snipped off some aeration and fan grills in the scavenging process witch I riveted to the ammo-box for better ventilation. Front panel switches are "try-me" packages switches from Canadian tire automotive LED strips. I already had a good full sized power supply lying around so I managed to fit it internally with an extension to the back panel. The switch is easily accessible under the hood next to the ARGB controller switch. The processor/mobo/ram where my latest computer I just upgraded witch I didn't had use for. It previously had a gtx760 I rocked until recently. I got the videocard from a motorcyclist fellow I helped numerous time with mechanical tips and repairs. He gladly gave it to me as I promised to include it for cheap to the little guy's build. For christmas, I personally added the ARGB fans and controler + the sata drive to double his storage. Let's spare the bandwidth of his parents by having a bigger game library to play with his friends and a christmas light party to light up the kid's eyes on reveal! It did well I guaranty! Pictures are from the kitchen table as it was delivered to the happy new owner (not pictured). Those peripherals are temporary used to update, download game and test the pc. He ordered his own screen/keyboard/mouse setup. With the pc comes infinite tech support until I die. I'm not up to date so much but I still have some old school tricks down my sleeve. How does it perform you ask? It scored 5th overall canadian score in firestrike for similar hardware with an average 74C on the gpu and 62C on the cpu . Not too bad for a small form factor pc. If it qualify as so? what do you guys think?

So Linus had a video awhile ago where a boutique builder used a transparent screen as both a window into the case, and a way to add flair to the case. I dont know how to get my hands on these screens, but I was wondering if there would be away to build a computer so that no monitor is required. Im not talking a huge build because im sure the transparent screen is not putting out 4k. Im just wondering if there is a Mini ATX case that has a decent 16:9 ratio sized piece of tempered glass that could easily be swapped out with a transparent screen. I just imagine it would be fun to create a small 1080p gaming pc where all you have to do is plug in one wall outlet. The pc case its self would act as the monitor. Being in the army this would be nice for traveling or for use when space isnt very available. Im also just wondering if this is even worth considering. Would the screen be decent enough to attempt lower resolution gaming, or just give up.

Hello, I am just wondering if anyone can see any problems/improvements to this build my budget is around $700 and can't particularly move from that point. I believe that all of the parts which I have chosen will fit into the case and the fans will aswell. I would rather retain the mini ATX case due to the portability of it. the power supply is another worry of mine due to it being so close to the estimated wattage.IF you have any questions about the build or anything else I will attempt to answer back as soon as possible. PC PartPicker List Many thanks, Ryan.

So I'm planning on making a small pc build made for the sole purpose of playing Rocket League with 4 player split-screen. I'll be using 4 wired ps4 controllers. Basically I'm trying to make a console(ish) sized pc. I have an FX-8350 that's just laying around and want to give it a final home (DISCLAIMER: I am NOT planning on overclocking it and will in fact be UNDER-clocking it, most likely starting at 3GHz). I have an extra ssd and 8GB DDR3 RAM stick that I can use. I've already pick out the remaining parts (see list below). My question is what would be the best motherboard for this purpose? Should I spend a little extra on the motherboard? Could I "cheap" out on it? I tried looking for a mini atx board but those are apparently non-existent for AMD but if you find one let me know so I can get a smaller case since I want a small pc that I can take to LAN parties, etc. The motherboard I'm planning on defaulting to is here just in case this post doesn't yield any results. What do you think? Hi. I have a relatively old computer with an i5 4690 (non K) CPU which I want to give to a friend. Trouble is, she doesn't seem to appreciate large full tower monstrosities in the middle of her living room as much as I do, so I'd like to transfer it into a small mini atx case. Long story short, I need a mobo for an i5 4690 CPU. Now, I know it needs to have LGA1155 socket, and DDR3 RAM. What else would I need to know, or is every motherboard with LGA1155 going to do? Thanks in advance!

Hey, I am looking to build a relatively low key media computer for streaming shows and playing some older couch coop games. I have never built in a mini atx form factor and I have worries about accidentally getting a needlessly cramped case. Are there any cases that are easier to work in that are still pretty compact? I am also wanting to avoid any needless rgb on the case since I dont want the light interfering with movies etc. Not sure if it matters in terms of air flow, but the processor I will be using is a ryzen 7 2700 (not x) that I picked up a while ago. I am not sure yet what budget I am aiming for, so any suggestions would be appreciated.

Dear peoples, Last round of advice before I order a new pc for my girlfriend. So that I have the best possible options for the money. Her demands: - Must be small - Must be fast (she works a lot with premier, photoshop, solidworks etc) - Not to ugly At the moment I have this configuration: CPU: i7-6700 MOBO: ASRock H110-ITX Case: Fractal design core 500 CPU fan: Cooler Master TX3 i RAM: Crucial 16GB ddr4 PSU: Cooler Master GM G450M SSD: Kingston SSDNow UV400 240gb EDIT: PCPartPicker list here: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/m6FHzM And yes, I am missing a graphics card, but she gets mine when I order a RX480. Also, she gets a 1TB drive I still have lying around. Does this all fit inside the case? Thanks for the help!

Hijo! I'm tierd of having a huge gaming desktop that's heavy AND hard to get your hands around. And after watching allot of Linus videos at some point I was going to find this small mini atx PC's. And no... A case with a handle is still terrible when moving it. I need a PC that is easy to move around. I'm trying to find reasons why doing a gaming PC like this is a bad ide.. And I can't find allot exept a bit of premium for some of the parts. Like this is hugging awsome!!! Expet the price tag and stuff... Now. What I like to achieve with my build is quite simple.. In a normal gaming case that is...... Like how mutch of a problem is HEAT going to be? It's mixt feelings in Linus videos about this point. There awsome build ran cool. But what can I get away with? There build was optimal for cooling. I love to get a gaming PC into this form factor. With a I7 6700k and a Nividia 1080 range of peformance. Atleast that can run at stock speeds full POWER. That is what I need out of this build. And that it is going to work a few yeras later not braking down due to bad parts or heat killing it. And as a request I like it to be some what quite and still be air cooled. I don't find liqid cooling worth it.. Right now I'm come up with something like this. PC Case : Fractal Design Core 500 Motherboard : Z170N-Gaming 5 (Gigabyte Mini-atx) PSU : Um.. Belive a Fractal Design one? 600w+ 140mm long. CPU : I7 6700k "Real old" CoolerMaster Hyper 212 ontop. GPU ; AMD R9 280x (from my old rig) To be upgraded later. RAM : 16GB 2133Mhz HDD : "Old" hdd's from my old rig. To be upgraded later. Fans : 1 stock case fan. 2 extra fans of some kind. Belive it's like $700-$900 build. Before you ask. No I don't like the SG13 from SilverTec. I prefer the Core 500 for a few reasons. And No.. The Gaming 5 and I7 6700k I pick for a few reasons. The Gaming 5 for the C-Type connector + USB 3.1 is nice to have for external hardrives later. M.2, WiFi and all the rest is not that importent for me. Even if I get a M.2 SSD I'm not buying it for that. The I7 6700k is the best puppy to fit in there for gaming. And as I understand the price is not allot more vs the outher intel 6th gen I7's or I5's But the "unlockt" K is not that importent I think. But I'm going for the stars here! PS: To make it easyer to live with this thing in a few years into the future I'm going big. My old rig is a Intel I5 2400....... That was quite new when I got it. Not going for any higher core count due to how bad gaming is getting. I loved to have games using more but 2 cores... But anyways... I'm unsure how to cool this shoebox. Not that good at cooling due to how easy it is to slam a extra fan onto a full size dekstop PC.... I'm happy if you with more experience tell me what's good and bad from what I have listed here! If you need more info about everything read on. I'm deep in troble trying to find optimal specs. This video show exactly how the case looks like. The PSU needs to be small to make place for the GPU. Sooo that got to be 140mm to 150mm if modular. And atleast 550w to run this thing. But I don't know what to go for... Silverstone ST65F-G 650W maby? Or a Fractal Design 650W Bronze? The case got external air in and out for the PSU. That's not a problem. Now after allot of researching of the Core 500 I'm still not sure what's the best way to keep the CPU and motherboard cool. And it makes me sceard of moving forward. In my dreams I hope that using a air cooled CPU in this small shoebox is enuf to take on the I7 6700k even without OC I find it hard to imagen. Most reviews of the Core 500 uses some kind of liquid cooler taking up the hole top part of the case. With good results. But I don't like liquid coolers. I don't whant a CPU cooler that if fails going to give close to no cooling... VS a air cooled PC that still got a desent aftermarket heatsink. Normal desktops have allot of space for a grate air cooler but this small mini-atx's don't,, Now one of the reasons I like the Core 500 is due to the space above the CPU. It fits a air cooler up to 170mm!! But is a air cooled CPU even enuf? If I use my old rigs CoolerMaster am I good? It's quite old now and hard to make out what it is.. It looks like a Hyper T4 fan stuck onto a Hyper 212. Not a Hyper 212X. My dad changed my dead CPU fan while I was at school years ago. I dream about placing this old heatsink with 2 extra fans ontop aimd down towards the CPU. And the CPU air is going right out to the Core 500's stock fan pusing the hot air out of the case. Is that enuf? Or do I have to aim for a $200 liquid cooler??? :c Why I like it this way is to cool the GPU and rest of the PC at the same time. And remove the water inside my dam PC.. Most builds with this case ends up with a CPU radiator ontop pusing air out. And the back fan pushing air out... Making the PC more or less wihtout airflow. Ontop of that my R9 280X is not a blower card. I never liket blower GPU's.... But it pushes hot air out of the case. My GPU going to heat up the system insted. Making it mutch more importent to have the cooling under control. Going to have that CPU and GPU running 100% and it got to work. While not sounding like a rocket... I belive that was it. Anyone with experince of high end Mini-ATX builds? Love to know if I'm missing something.

I am planning to upgrade to a mini itx SSF PC soon and am wondering about the motherboard. I am already aware of the Z170i Gaming from ASUS A Z170 motherboard is what I will be using. It has to include : A PCI-E 16x slot ( only one is needed ) A M.2 slot with support for 2280 At least 3 SATA Gb/s ports Minimum 4 USB 3.0 / 2.0 External LGA1151 Support / Z170 Chipset I would prefer : Built in WiFi and/or Bluetooth 4.0 or above A Good UEFI BIOS Raid Support ( 1/0 )

What are some good cases that you could bring onto an airplane? The maximum dimensions for a carry-on bag are 9 inches x 14 inches x 22 inches (22 cm x 35 cm x 56 cm), including handles and wheels so the case must be smaller than this! Link to dimensions: http://www.united.com/CMS/en-US/travel/Pages/BaggageCarry-On.aspx?Mobile=1 Would be nice if the case fit all graphics cards **Don't just say: "any mini atx case will fit" - because they don't! (Like Obsidion 250D) **KEY: d- depth [side panel to side panel], h - height [from stands to the top], w - width [front panel to back] ** Cases that I found to fit: - Zalman ZM-T2 Plus [d - 189 x h - 427.5 x w - 364mm] http://www.zalman.com/global/product/Product_Read.php?Idx=865 - Cooler Master Elite 130 [d - 398.5 x h - 207.4 x w - 240 mm] <- to make the case fit you put it front panel to the bottom of the bag - Silverstone Lite Sugo [d- 276 x h - 176 x w - 222 mm] Any other cases?

Hello LTT forum, I am in a slight dilemma. I am working on a build for my wife and I am stuck on the topic of which cooler design to choose for her GTX 970. The case is going to be an aerocool like this one http://www.aerocool.us/ds/ds_bl.html (windowed version). As it will be configured, the CPU is going to be water cooled with an all in one that is going to take up the top case fan slots, leaving only the rear exhaust and the massive front intake. Would it be more efficient for airflow and general temperatures to opt for a reference blower design on the GPU to expel the hot air directly out of the case, or to go for an aftermarket design? Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Hi, ..I'm moving around alot! even in my city countrym even sometimes I change country. I'm looking for a good gaming pc. I'm interested in the smallest thing possible. Smallest motherboard, case, cpu cooler and a decent airflow. I'm interested to know two rigs between two amount of money. First I want to know what I can buy and have around $500 and second $700. Be open minded, not fanboy or so.. and if there is a good gaming laptop pls list it on. Thanks!

I am putting together a Mini Atx built using some parts from another build and some brand new parts. This pc is going to be primarily used for gaming. I decided to to do a new built after my old motherboard decided to choke on itself and keel over. 4670K(new) Asus Z87 i Delux(new) Noctua LP 120mm cooler(new) 8GB LP Ram(recycled) GTX 780(recycled) Seasonic 750 watt psu(recycled) 2X120GB SSD's in Raid0,mmmmmmm...(recycled) 1TB hard drive, caviar black (noisy as f*k) recycled Cubitek Mini Cube!!! I went with this case because its made completely of aluminum, looks good, and can hold a full size power supply as well as my 780(stock cooler version). I was motivated to build a small system after watching Linus's build guide using this case. I also like the direction Mac Pro went with by building a small, powerful, mobile system that looked good. Some of the things I didn't like about Mac Pro are price, no internal hdd expandability, having to buy proprietary Apple parts to upgrade, and Mac Os. I decided to build my own mini, powerful, gaming rig.

This is my planned build! What do you guys think? The website says there are errors, apparently the sound card won't fix even though there are three PCI Express 3.0 slots on the MOBO. If I have to I'll switch the case back to the Define R4 but I wanted to see if I could fix everything into a small form factor because I like small PC's. So I guess I'm asking if this would work! Love to hear your guy's thoughts so without further ado here's the link! I will update it as good suggestions roll in so feel free to check back later! http://pcpartpicker.com/user/NerdNinja/saved/2xYd

I have two GTX 780's running on SLI and i get over 80 °C In-game, is it fine or should i change something ( BTW i use an Ft03 case which is a mini ATX case and i dont know if that matters)
