This (moving) image had all Metroid fans around the world in excitement, all the way back in 2017. This news isn't the hottest newest news, but has not been posted here and I did want to write something about it. TL;DR: Metroid Prime 4 development will start over, under Retro Studios, instead of the previously unannounced studio. There is no release date, there was none before either. The news: Metroid Prime 4 for the Nintendo Switch had been announced at E3 in (June) 2017, with nothing more than a teaser trailer. At the time, they showed that they were working on the game and we didn't have anything else other than the logo. Now, a year and a half later from that teaser and two days ago as of posting this thread, Nintendo has (unexpectedly) released a video titled "Development update on Metroid Prime 4 for Nintendo Switch" in which Shinya Takahashi, General Manager of the Entertainment Planning & Development Division at Nintendo, talked about a big change in the development of this game. In the video, Takahashi said the current development was not up to the standards of what they are looking for in a sequel in the Metroid Prime series. Because of the unhappiness with the progress, Nintendo has decided to have the producer of this game, Kensuke Tanabe, work together with the American videogame developer; Retro Studios. Tanabe being a producer on many Nintendo games, including Metroid Prime 1 through 32 and Retro Studios being the developer of the previous Metroid Games, as well as the developer behind the Donkey Kong Country Returns series of games6. Together, these two parties will start the development from scratch. In this development update video, Nintendo unfortunately did not give a new release date on this project and even stated Quote from 2:39 in the first linked video. It is not fully clear who the original developer for this project was, but from this video we can hear it was not originally Retro Studios. At first some sources claimed it would be a new team creating it, while later sources pointed at Bandai Namco being involved3. The producer would have always been Tanabe5. Rumors in the past speculated early 2019 as the release date4. My opinion As a huge Nintendo fan and someone looking forward to this title, I am very sad to see it get delayed. But I am also somewhat glad. Glad they are willing to delay this game, even restart development to make it the sequel the Metroid Series deserves. Not release something that wouldn't be worthy of the title, not release something that would tarnish the brand name (*hint* *hint* you know what game series I am talking about) The last time we saw something from the Metroid Prime series was the release (and rerelease) of the three current (console) Metroid Prime games (known as Metroid Prime Trilogy) in 2009 on the Wii and 2015 for the Wii U (the latter digital only). The last proper new Metroid Prime game was the third one in 2007 (let's just all not talk about Federation Force..). Over a decade later, fans of the series are eager to see a new entry in the series, but seeing the responses everyone seems to be on the same page: we want this sequel to be done right. Hi guys, I'm 8-Bit Builder. I've been doing this for about 10 years now and just starting up my newest build. I build cases in the an old pixelated style as you will see shortly :D. I've been wanting to build a Metroid computer case for about 7 years now but plastic was always too expensive ($1 a cube) compared to .08 cents a cube of wood which is what all my previous PC mods are made out of. Once I found out how accessible 3D printers were, I jumped head first and picked up a Maker Select. After a few months of non-stop printing it dawned on me that I could make the Metroid computer case I've been thinking about for such a long time. Normally I spend about 200-250$ in wood/paint but 3D printing plastic is really cheap in comparison, about $80 in plastic. I'm also planning on having a really cool light sequence on the inside of the case to get the red effect of the in game Metroid. Being my first foray into a 3D printed computer I'm sure I'll run into issues but look forward to overcoming them. This will also be my first time with programmable LED's so it will be a learning experience on that front also! I'm going with an ASUS STRIX for the Aura Sync capabilities since this case is going to have a big focus on lighting. The more advanced lighting will be done with the Tinkerboard. This is what I'm building (modeled in 123Design/Tinkercad): Metroid from ...Metroid! The modeled case My first idea of how the components will fit I started printing and doing test pieces to make sure I had it down pretty good and to test strength of the frame. Needless to say, it holds a LOT of weight (I weigh 185lbs) I've got the printer going in earnest on the final design now. The printer will be going non-stop for about 2-3 weeks to get all the pieces done. I'll be back soon though with photos of attaching sections together with glue and 3D pen welding! Just a few Nintendo related would you rather questions that I personally found hard to answer. let me know which you'd choose and why^^ Would you rather be Link's partner and have your own Master Sword with your own weapons arsenal of your choosing or be Samus Aran's partner and have your own customizable Varia Suit with your choice in beam weapons and visors? When you agree to adventure with them you can never return to your life before. Would you rather be suddenly placed in Super Smash Bros where you had to fight to the death until the 10min timer runs out or be suddenly placed in an F-Zero race where you had to drive a racecar going 1800mph for three laps without crashing (and dying)? There is no time to prepare; you are just suddenly transported instantly while going about your daily routine one day. Would you rather spend your summer in Hyrule or The Mushroom Kingdom? Would you rather own a pet yoshi or pikachu?

I'm sure most console gamers on here (myself included) also have some reasonably gaming-capable PC. GET AXIOM VERGE. Bought it yesterday, was totally floored by it. Especially if you like classic Metroid, this game is perhaps one of the best metroidvania games to come out in a long time. Especially refreshing to play after the news that there won't be a real Metroid game coming this year or at any point in the near future. Axiom Verge is to Metroid what Shovel Knight is to Mega Man. Anyone who enjoys traditional metroidvania games and classic game design owe it to themselves to check this game out.

I've been snooping around for a bit, but I just can't seem to find a site that let's me download Nintendo Soundtracks from the N64 era and up. Does anyone know where I could get my hands on that stuff? And would it be considered illegal? I already own a nice amount of new-age Nintendo games, so would there be a way to rip them from there?

Just watch it, what do you think when you see this. The games can predict our future? Something fishy is going on here, oh i know, this is so freaking creepy. What do you think about this, this is kinda scary for me.... Right?
