Hey. So I purchased a brand new Kraken x53 for my new build. Upon putting everything together and starting it up for the first time, everything looked great at first. I was in the bios tweaking some things before actually booting to windows when i noticed my CPU was getting hot. At this point it was in the red. So i immediately turned off my pc and checked all the cooler wires and made sure everything was good, which it was and as far as i’m aware still is. On the motherboard, the pump is plugged into AIO_PUMP, fans are plugged into CPU_FAN, and the other one (blue plug) is plugged into a USB header. And i have switched the pump and fan plugs with each other and even tried the CPU_OPT header, and same results. Also tried switching USB headers, nothing. Fans are spinning, pump is lighting up just fine. Everything is plugged into their respective headers. I even took off the pump, and reseated it using new thermal paste, same result. CPU will reach 80c within 10 minutes of being into the BIOS, which seems to be accurate as the base of the hoses on the pump feel hot to the touch aswell as the back of the pump. I have read the manual from front to back and everything looks good. Cooler is front mounted with hoses at the bottom. I have googled and googled and nothing has worked. I don’t even feel the pump working (by using touch to feel for vibrations). I have tried everything. This is very disappointing, i was excited to get everything running and even excited to try this cooler out as it’s been recommended by many. But so far it’s caused me quite a bit of stress, and unfortunately has delayed my build which I have been working on getting parts for for months. I can’t explain the disappointment in starting my first build in almost 8 years only to be set back by something like this. I have pictures of everything from the plugs, pump lights, fans spinning, to the cpu temps. Even a video of the cpu temp ramping up. Do you guys have any recommendations on things to try? I cannot get the BIOS Flashback to work at all on my ASUS Maximus XI Hero motherboard. I recently updated my BIOS to version 1401. I've been having nothing but problems with this BIOS version tried reverting back to the factory default BIOS version and the previous one that I was on which was version 1302. When flashing back the light blinks 3 times, and stays lit and never turns off. I wait 2-3 minutes each time and in some cases 5 minutes. The light never goes off which it's suppose to do at least from what this guide that ASUS posted via here. I've tried the following for both BIOS versions I'm trying to revert to: Formatted USB to FAT16/FAT32 Used disk management on Windows and diskpart to clean and check for all partitions (none exist) and create a clean partition for FAT16/32 No other files but M11H.CAP Used BIOSRenamer and tried running as admin Used the USB BIOS Flashback port Cleared all settings to default Tried 3x USBs (USB 3.x, USB 2.0) Cleared CMOS Unplugged PSU power cable Unplugged all other USB storage devices Used EZ Flash Utility in the BIOS and get the message "Selected file not a proper BIOS!" for both BIOS versions as the original .CAP file downloaded from the driver/oem section as per my motherboard model. I've tried everything I can think of. The main reason I'm trying to downgrade is because the slow POST/BIOS boot times I get and BIOS freezes that sporadically happen. This was the error message I got "GPT header corruption". Full picture of the error code is here. I've also saw a thread of others having the same problem here too. The only solution I found to boot is by setting my boot options to Auto Recovery. I still have problems with my BIOS randomly freezing at boot still but it has helped with being able to boot into my OS now.

https://youtu.be/IXDxZi8J0cY all the temps and clocks and speed run fine but as soon as it gets to opencl in realbench or under a heavy load it beeps constantly and loud, i notice if i turn my gpu down to 200w max and 40% fan speeds it turns of in some games but i ran cs:go perfectly fine for like an hour with everything normal temps etc. please help asus isnt doing much for me! they said its my rgb strip but i only had lighting issues after they told me to clear the cmos and update the bios and after i did now the q led on the mb doesn't light up and it wont sync to the software but it boots and runs fine besides the beeping what do i do ha? Update: I reset the PC with windows and unplugged the two front rgb strips everything is synced up correctly now except the main issue which was the beeping under load persists and my build lost two rgb strips but i just want it to run properly at this point its been a long 5 days troubleshooting everything .... ive attached a video of what happens when my computer starts to beep running Evga's Precision x1 test & scan please help if possible Asus maximus xi hero,i7 9700k, m.2 970 pro 512gb m.2 970 evo 1tbg.skill trident z rgb 16x2 3000mhz,rosewill rgb aio,Evga 750w g3 supernova,Evga 2080ti xc2 ultra,Rosewill Prism s500 case.

I don't know anymore. Been at this for a week now. First of all, I noticed my pc boot time wasn't amazing. In task manager my bios time was around 22 seconds every time. My windows boot time is great, about 2 seconds after the bios is done, windows is up, so I figured, okay, somethings wrong with the bios, let’s try an update. I then started with writing down my important bios settings, which isn’t much, I’m currently not overclocked, only XMP2 enabled, some fan settings etc. Nothing special. I was at bios 1105 at that point, and went to 1302. So then all hell broke loose. No more booting to windows, got an error about GPT header corruption, and how to fix it. So I tried and tried again to fix it with the bios recovery function, but that didn’t do anything. So then I looked at some settings, and found the sata mode setting, and figured, guess I’ll try optane/raid instead of ACHI. And bam, booted to windows and everything was good again. (Guess I should note at this point I have had raid enabled a few months ago to experiment with ssd caching. Didn’t work great, turned it all back off and raid is not enabled on any drive at all.) However, now, my bios time was at 35 seconds every time. Whatever I did, I couldn’t get it down at all. Also, I noticed some strange usb behavior. My external HDD kept showing up at every boot (like I just connected it) and my Oculus rift headset got some strange problems with the sensor usb’s only seeing usb2 in stead of usb 3, etc. I tried to fix all those things, in device manager one of the usb busses had the yellow checkmark and updating drivers didn’t give me anything new, so I did what I always do and uninstalled that device and rebooted. It usually fixes things. Not now though, usb problems all staid the same. So then I was at the point I had many usb problems, and a 50% slower bios boot time, so I was done. I went back to 1302. Guess I’ll live with the 22 sec boot then right? Booted instantly again, however, I checked, this bios automatically had selected raid/optane in stead of AHCI, so it booted. When I went to AHCI, it gave me the same error again. Fine, I’ll stay at the raid setting even though I don’t run raid. No problem, right? However, at this clean 1302 bios, with all settings like they always were before, the USB problems staid exactly the same. And then they got worse. Now, my external HDD won’t be detected at all anymore, it won’t pop up at boot either. Unless I run a system recovery, then it boots once, and after any reboot it’s gone again. If I switch it to a different port, the HDD works, and if I plug a different device in that port it also works. So I broke a driver somehow? So I broke that port / HDD combo somehow. And it might have something to do with HDD/raid settings, maybe? Or maybe with bios settings? I have no clue anymore. I usually think of myself as pretty good with computers, but I’m stumped now. And going crazy, and feeling like I want to toss the whole pc out the window. And no, reinstalling windows is not an option right now because of time limitations. Also turning XMP off / to XMP1 doesn't change anything. Oh yeah, also, after all this, my bios time is now at 12 seconds, at the 1302 bios. Also, that happened when the ext HDD broke, before that, on this clean install, it was around 30 seconds. Basically I would like to find out: -How to fix my usb driver(s) so the external HDD works in the old port again. -How my bios boot time is randomly changing from 22/30/now 12 seconds all on the same bios/same settings. -If this has something to do with my previous raid settings I tried a few months ago (and turned back off). Since I still need raid enabled in the bios to even boot to windows. I hope someone has any idea what I’m talking about and can help me somehow. Because I’m going mad. (Full specs in signature)
