Just wanted to ask everyone what pisses them off about PC building can anything doesn't matter how big/small.. I'll start off products that don't have magnetic screws! Forgetting to put the IO shield (why can everyone just have it premounted is beyond me!) PC parts that still use Molex connectors - it's useless!!! SATA works just perfectly and there is an actual reason for it in a modern build the fact that you have to install at least 3 different application just to manage you RGB on a normal build (unlike most tech youtuber that get everything from the same vendor) There is a bunch more but that's enough from me...

Okay, The problem is my PC, I don't know what's wrong about it, i just know it's wrong, and it's making me really mad. The problem started after i upgraded the system [3 months ago], The system specs are: - CPU: AMD FX-9590 Octo-Core 4.0Ghz - CPU COOLER: Corsair H60 - GPU: Nvidia GTX 970 SC - MOTHERBOARD: ASUS M5 A97 R2.0 - RAM: 8GB DDR4 - HDD: 1TB - Power: 1500w - Windows: 10 The problem i have is my PC will crash, But not like a bluescreen or file dump, But the whole screen freezes, Mouse and keyboard input no longer works, and all sound cuts out, But the PC remains running - Fans, lights and monitors stay on, So i have no idea what's going on. What i've found is that i can leave my PC on all day, Before i go to school i can turn it on, And i'll come back and it'll be fine, But as soon as i start playing games or doing anything that requires a little more that idle power, [Games, Photoshop, rendering, Opening lots of tabs] it crashes, And now it's really annoying me as i can't do anything, i don't know what's wrong, but i do notice frame drops in games like counter strike, a game that i should get 300+ FPS on, but i go down to numbers below 10 at times, i have no idea what's going on, and i'm worried that one day it wont turn on, and i'm not sure i have the money to buy the parts i want at the moment, so if any one could tell me what's wrong, Or what i can do to find out, that would be great, It's getting REALLY annoying.

980 ti 5820k 700w Roswell 1tb HDD x99A msi 16GB DDR4 corsair (4x4) x61 Kraken Windows 10 Pro This is the first PC I built by myself. It runs games very very well, like it should. But when it comes to browsers it has difficulty. The page freezes all the time, and I have to refresh it constantly. While watching twitch it can work fine for the most part, but then 20m later everything stops working. I will have to close out google, and fire twitch back up again to get it working. Usually to get a site or action working again I have to refresh 1-3 times. I have no idea why this is. I tryed updating all the drivers and everything. It's very frustrating. Halp

Hi there Been doing the build and had a few issues that I'm hoping you guys can help me with! First (this should be easy) The disk drive has power (it will open and close) but It cannot read any disks and does not show up under my computer. Second (A little bit more tricky) The WD Blue drive is not showing up under drive manager (nor did it show up during windows 8.1 install) When I feel the HDD it does not vibrate at all. I am going to try swapping about power/sata cables to see if that fixes it, if not I will try putting it into another computer (if it does not work there its a dead drive) Now after reading this you may think its the mobo, but the SSD is plugged into the same lot of sata connectors and works fine. Thanks in advanced for you help Jayden

Hey all, so I am looking at buying a new headset that is in the 100-150 dollar range since my Razer Blacksharks broke (RIP in peace). After doing some research the one that stuck out to me was the Sennheiser PC 350 SE, but a challenger approached which is the Mad Catz F.R.E.Q. 7. I do not know which one to pick or whether I should a get a completely different headset. As always mic quality and sound quality or a biggie so any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I was happily using steam yesterday. Today i opened it up and i simply wont load. i click on the icon and it say's "connecting to steam account: XxbossdogxX" , then it says "updating steam information." So that's all normal, but 2 seconds later the steam icon de-highlights itself in the taskbar and nothing opens up. i checks the task manager but steam isn't running. However, as it says "connecting to steam account: XxbossdogxX" (before it just closes) i check the task manager, steam is there as a process, but so is steamerrorreporter. these both disappear a few seconds later when the thing closes/doesn't open. I have already tried: running program as administrator deleting my entire steam folder except ,"steamapps" and "steam.exe" restarting my computer clicking on "steamerrorreporter" (nothing happens) making sure that steam is not starting up on boot I hope i wasn't to confusing HELP ME

So a friend of mine shared this link: http://www.phonandroid.com/intel-quelqu-un-paye-rockstar-gta-v-ne-sorte-pas-pc.html (eng: http://translate.google.com/translate?sl=fr&tl=en&js=n&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.phonandroid.com%2Fintel-quelqu-un-paye-rockstar-gta-v-ne-sorte-pas-pc.html&act=url) This is most definetly FAKE, unless you experts may think otherwise...

I think this is tech related so I hope I have it posted at the right place. so anyways I've been under a lot of stress as of late and this week in particular was a really bad one - incredibly bad actually. It was a bunch of stuff happening at the same time and I had to cancel my vacation (which was supposed to be a stress reliever but because I had to cancel it, it was even more frustrating). So on my way home today I started feeling something boiling up inside, kinda like something was going to explode, I knew I couldn't just let it sit and simmer because it would just ruin me and I might (and probably will) break and it would have been way worse. I've had a panic attack before (due to stress) because in my line of work, customer service is a must and I kind of need a job and as we all know, people are idiots who think they are always right and we have to deal with it. (as a side note: no, the customer isn't always right, he's usually always wrong - especially when you are the technician fixing his computer) So when I arrived home I really started stressing out, at the brink of a panic attack actually. I felt like getting into a fight - you've all had that feeling and if you say you never have, I don't trust you and you should be shunned - but then I noticed an old computer. A pentium 4 if I remember correctly. It was an old machine I was going to send off to recycling because nothing worked on it and even if it did, it would have been just too slow to do anything useful with it. So when I saw it I realized how many times I've wished I could just bash a client's computer with a bat or on the table, if it were a laptop, (or some of mine for that matter, when I can't seem to find the issue). I took my 9 iron and started beating it senseless. First with vertical swings like if I were cutting wood, then in perfect golf style. I felt like it was weird that it wasn't getting as damaged as i thought it would but then changed the 9 iron to a driver - the heaviest one i have (not part of my regular golf set, a one off that found its way into my bag at some point for some reason) and took the hardest, fastest, most beautiful swing at it and voila; pure rapture, unadulterated bliss, absolute ecstasy, unconditional rapture - happiness. As soon as I ceased beating that grotesque "old technology beige/grey" coloured box into a warped, misshapen pile of obsolete pieces, I felt normal, I felt happy, better than I had been all week, if not weeks. I am now here sharing with all of you the joy of letting off some steam in whichever way you feel is right for you (of course by not causing harm to others and animals) because we all need to at some point or another; when things aren't going the way you want, when they are just not working out or when you are just frustrated or feeling down. Just take some time for yourself. It can be constructive, like going for a jog or the gym, playing a game or figuring out a puzzle, putting together a computer, watching tv, reading, learning something new, taking up a hobby or, in my case (and only this once), something destructive (but not harmful). All I'm trying to say is: take it easy, have fun, be happy and even though sometimes things aren't in your favour, the universe has a way of settings right, whether it be right away or a few years from now, it will be alright. And this goes for everything and every aspect in life. We have all heard of people hurting themselves or doing something that hurt others because they were depressed or something was going wrong in their life or they were having a hard time in a period in their life but that will all pass, talk about it to someone understanding, and if you don't have anyone, you can see someone who will help you in your goals and help you deal with what is going on, a teacher you like, a family member you're close to, a best friend, a lover or even a hater. You tell them what they did wasn't cool and they should stop and if they don't (i.e. if he was a bully or something) go talk to someone who can help, or who you think can help, maybe they will help you find someone or some way of dealing with it. And if you're scared of seeing a psychologist, don't be, you don't have to tell anyone, keep it to yourself. If you feel like they won't or can't help or you think that you "are too manly and don't need a shrink because you are supposed to deal with it yourself", well...you shouldn't, because we all need help, all great men had help getting to where they are and still use all the help they can and need to stay on top. Even those stupid ass bullies get help, or will need it in the future because they won't survive life being the way they are. Anyways, thanks for reading and included below are the results of my therapy session. P.S. This was supposed to be a short thread about letting off some steam but I guess I went on a little bit of a tangent, but I hope that it has helped at least one person. Because even helping just one person then this thread is worth it and it is the least you can do in life to be a human being (however I really do hope you helped more than just one person in your life and continue to help others along the way) P.P.S. The irony is that I fix computers for a living AND the driver solved my issue ;) ( lol ) . . . . and now the pictures: . . .

Hi guys, I'm using a Mad Catz R.A.T. 7. This is a wired 6400 DPI shooter gaming laser mouse with five keys, adjustable thumb rest (angle and position), adjustable and exchangeable palm rest (comes with three), exchangeable pinkie rest (also three), five adjustment weights, a dedicated precision aim button, DPI quick adjustment (four user-preset settings), quick profile switching (three profiles) and a thumb scroll wheel. It's outer parts are made of plastic, while the base is aluminium. Also it's Mac compatible. The best Razer shooter mouse in the same price category* is the Taipan, which lacks all the physical adjustment options and the thumb wheel, instead comes with a 8400 DPI sensor, a little more buttons and is ambidextrous. Logitech offers the slightly more expensive* G700s without Mac compatibility, it also lacks all the physical adjustment options and the thumb wheel. In exchange it offers even more buttons and a 8200 DPI sensor. From Corsair, the also slightly more expensive* M95 is thrown into the ring. With 15 keys, this surely isn't a dedicated shooter mouse, like the Logitech it uses a 8200 DPI sensor and lacks Mac compatibility. And, it also doesn't offer any physical adjustment options (and also lacks the thumb wheel). This difference in price/performance-ratio appears in every price segment that Mad Catz mice exist in afaik. So every time I see someone on this subforum asking for mouse choice advice and only giving options from the latter three**, I wonder why Mad Catz is left out. Can someone please solve this mystery? Regards, Tataffe *) Comparison based on Euro pricing in Germany. **) See for example http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/115782-m65-g500s-or-deathadder or http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/117404-razer-naga-2014-vs-logitech-g602

Hi So I had my phone off all day like I usually do for school, after it was working this morning. After a long day I dropped my phone from like four feet onto the street directly on the part of my flip case that covers the screen. It didn't seem to fall hard and there didn't seem to be any damage so I didn't worry about it. About an hour and a half later I was finally ready to turn my phone off. I pressed the power button, heard the little jingle, saw the blue light flash, and felt the small vibration. However, the screen stayed completely black the whole time. A few times now I've tried turning the phone off (by pulling the battery out) and turning it back on but the same thing keeps on happening. If anybody can help me with solutions that wouldn't cost me anything, I'd be very happy. I am very upset and frustrated with my phone troubles/. Thanks all of you, Me

Once again I have come to the help of the forum for other people's opinion. Like my keyboard poll, I want to know which mouse is better based on other's overall experience and not the look of the mouse. Once again for those that did not see my other poll, I am going with is the NZXT 410 black with orange trim. Once again I want the choice based on overall experience and not on the look. Thank you for the help. I have changed the poll due to wanting more votes casted on the mice that I am choosing from.
