Hello. I built a new pc about 8 months ago, these are the specs: CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x RAM: 4x8GB RIPJAWS 3600mhz CL18 GPU: Asus GTX1080Ti ROG STRIX – 11GB Vram Motherboard: MSI B550M Pro-VDH Wifi SSD: Samsung 500GB NVM2 PSU: Corsair TX850M 80+ Gold Case: Coolermaster Masterbox TD500 ARGB CPU Cooler: ASUS ROG STRIX LC 360 RGB Liquid Cooler My PC was running perfectly fine for a while, but suddenly I realized a decrease in fps and overall performance. My CPU and GPU usage never go above 50% no matter what test nor game i play/run. Not sure why though, my temps are perfectly fine. Back when the PC was working normally under full stress both CPU and GPU would be around if not under 60 Degrees Celsius. I have updated the drivers for my BIOS, Chipset and GPU, so everything should be up to date. I am somewhat lost in what to do, as I have tried most things I can google my way to. If anyone can help or have an idea that I haven't tried please let me know. Have a good rest of your day, Regards.

Hello, for about two weeks I´m having some problems in a few games. It started when I tried playing Far Cry 6, set my settings and all, played a bit and then when I for example leave a workbench or the menu, I suddenly get like 0.5 Fps ( Capped the game at 60 Fps and was getting 60 consistently) I started searching for a problem and when I look at the utilization I can see that my CPU and GPU are at 3-10%. I already updatet my bios, installed the newest graphics drivers and reinstalled the game, nothing worked. Altough if I activate fidelityfx in Far Cry 6 it helps a bit. Tried playing Gta V today and got the same problem, I can play for 5-20 minutes and then the same problem. I also looked at the temps and GPU had 85 C max at hot spot and CPU had 68 C Specs: CPU: Ryzen 3600 @4.2Ghz GPU: RTX 2080 Asus Strix OC Mainboard: MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX Ram: 2x 8gb G.Skill Ripjaws 3200mhz Psu: be quiet Pure Power 11 600 Watt Storage: Crucial P1 1tb, Crucial MX500 500gb, Seagate Barracuda 2tb Thanks in advance (sorry for typos, not a native english speaker)

When I go in game on my 1660 and 2600 my game runs at 6 fps. I opened msi afterburner and check and the utilization hover between 0-1% for both. I've tried resetting msi afterburner, installing new chipset drivers, graphics drivers, and checked the task manager to see if there is something I'm not seeing. My games never crash even now and nothing out of the ordinary happens besides this low fps and utilization and this only happens when there is a load like blender or a game, even the title screen of Minecraft is 6 fps. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So recently I installed my new CPU (Ryzen 5 3600) and I loaded up Fortnite in hopes of some 144fps performance. I hop into my first game and the whole thing is a stuttery mess. My settings are pretty low and what surprised me is that the GPU (MSI RTX 2060 Ventus XS OC 6GB) is only at 50 percent usage and my CPU is also at 50 percent usage. The stutters happen often but not all the time. Some of the time its straight 144fps and then it dips down to 30-90 for a split second or just straight up stutters over and over for a few seconds. Is this just my underpowered PC? Just how Fortnite works? Help! SPECS RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16gb (2x8gb) 3200mhz CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 (Stock Clocks) GPU: MSI RTX 2060 Ventus XS OC 6gb (Stock Clocks) Motherboard: B550-A PRO PSU: SeaSonic M12II 520 Bronze EVO Edition 520W Game Drive: WD Black SN750 (1TB) OS Drive (Windows 10): Samsung 850 EVO (256gb) Notes: Stock Cooler, Drivers all updated (BIOS up to date, chipset drivers up to date, GPU drivers up to date, etc), using a Gsync compatible monitor at 144hz (LG UltraGear 1080p 144hz).

What games can I play on an old cpu + is more vram good ?
BrayanOfficiel posted a topic in PC Gaming
Hello, so I recently got a 15 y/o Mac Pro workstation with : 2 * Intel Xeon X5472@3.0GHz - 8 cores, Upgraded RAM to 32GB@0.7GHz (Server FB-DIMM with ECC), Installed a GTX 780 3Gb, Installed a Samsung 870 QVO SSD. I played a few games (1920x1200@60fps capped) on it like War Thunder (medium-high@60fps), Borderlands 2 (ultra@40-60fps) and I was happy with it, but I tried simulation games like DCS World (low-15fps), (CPU@10-30% usage, pretty low GPU usage and full VRAM usage) X-Plane 11 (shitty@10fps) (CPU@10-20% usage, GPU@40% and full VRAM usage) or GPU intensive games like Ready Or Not (ultra@30fps or shitty@45fps), Dying Light (ultra@40-60fps) (2.5GB VRAM USED, CPU@85%-97%) So I wonder if for example upgrading to a GTX Titan or Titan Black with 6GB of VRAM will be beneficial (because I see other people benchmarks :Apple MacPro3,1) ? Or the CPU will bottleneck it ? And if so, what games can I play with these 2 CPU'S ? Here is my benchmark Apple MacPro3,1 Performance Results. I know userbenchmark is not a reference , but i share this just so you can know more about this pc and see how it performs. (don't mind poor ssd performance, idk why its limited to SATA2 while the Mac has SATA3) Thanks by advance, Brayan PS: YES, A DUAL (old) CPU makes a difference in gaming, I was running Windows Home which is limited to only use one CPU and it was running Dying Light@15-25fps with 100% usage !!!- 20 replies

So today I treated myself with a used RX6600XT that performed on par and even better than what to expect from it in 3DMark Time Spy. It was tested in the sellers system, the guy put the GPU into the system with brand new driver install so no problem there. I bring it home, put it into my system consisting of: i7 4790k @ 4.8Ghz 32GB 1600MT/s Asus Maximus VII Hero Asus Dual RX6600XT 8GB Before this GPU upgrade I had a RX580 4GB, games ran fine but anything more demanding, set it back, especially because of the 4GB VRAM. After DDU‘ing drivers and installing the latest from AMD, I fire up PUBG, a game that I mostly play, on the old GPU it ran at about 100FPS at 1080p. GPU sat usually at 100% while CPU was chilling at 50-60%. On the new one it runs at 80-90FPS while GPU and CPU sit at 40-50%. I know 1080p is CPU intensive but I should at least be seeing an improvement over the old one, not worse. I also fired up BeamNG.drive where I saw a similar situation. Low GPU and CPU usage as well as low FPS (compared to old one). Old one ran it 70-80FPS, new one runs it at 60ish. For the record, my monitor is 75Hz which is the threshold I‘m looking to achieve. So at this point, I don‘t know what to do. I currently don‘t have money to upgrade to a new platform but that is in the works. I just want to play games at more than 75FPS and it‘s mind boggling to me how an upgrade can actually take you a step back. If anybody knows the sollution, I‘ve already looked at a few other topics regarding similar issues with the same GPU but I can‘t find any correspondence with mine. Any help is appriciated. Regards, tw1st3d

Okay so i have a Gaming Laptop Lenovo Ideapad L340 Gaming CPU - i5 9300H GPU - GTX 1650 Mobile Ram - 8GB 2400Mhz - Single Channel HDD -1TB Ive Had this laptop for around 8 months and at beginning it was performing as expected (GTA V - 30fps High) Recently it performing pretty bad and at times worse so i decided to clean install windows again after doing that i did not download any pirated software/movies or anything with malware and played GTA V now im getting around 45fps on lowest possible settings so I installed NZXT Cam software and while monitoring my performance it showed that my GPU usage is 13% and sometimes it drops around 5-6% dont know what the issue is i checked the same on MSI Afterburner and other monitoring softwares as well and same result. PLS Help me is this normal or there is some issue??

I have the same problem, no cpu bottleneck. My temps are fine and I did all the things people have wrote in the thread my gpu usage stays around 50-60% and maxes out sometimes at like mid 60s. I ran a benchmark with heaven and my gpu went to 100% so I was very confused. Can anyone help me thanks! After a few days I realized the problem, I noticed that in games my gpu usage is between 20-40 and not above and that is what makes FPS just awful and very low performance. I tried every way to fix this problem without succsess. I am so upset with this i really need your help.. If you can please help me upload the gpu usage and solve my problem I'll greatful. Like the title says, while playing games my GPU usage stays at 0% usage, not matter the graphics settings. I tried to play Battlefield 5 but it was unplayble due to lag and stutter while my graphics card sat at about 0% and went up to 5% at most. These were the fixes I tried: -Changed the power plan on Windows to High performance. -Checked to see if in that power plan PCIExpress power management was off. -On Nvidias control panel selected the correct GPU instead of being automatic on the 3D settings. -Still on the 3D settings page I picked maximum performance on the power management. -Uninstalled GeForce Experience and redownloaded the driver from their website. -Installed a fresh version of Windows, installed all the drivers, didn't install GeForce Experience but installed the drivers from the website. -Updated BIOS to the newest version. After all of these fixes, yesterday the game ran fine but today the problem is back. I also had this problem last week when playing Metro Exodus, so the problem isn't Battlefield 5. Games are completly unplayable, with heavy stutters, really bad framerates that I shouldn't be getting with this build. I saw a post claiming it could be a bottleneck that can cause the problem but I don't think that's a problem here. Here are the specs: -AMD Ryzen 7 3700x -Gigabyte RTX 2070 super Gaming OC -16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 3600MHz Cl16 -MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon Max Wifi -Corsair CX650M Semi Modular PSU -Crucial P1 500GB -Seagate Barracuda 2tb (currently not in use) Is there any other fixes I can try? Because this computer is brand new, it shouldn't be having these kinds of problems.

I have an AMD fx 6100, 8gb of ram, MSI 7950 twin frozer edition and my gpu is not being fully used when playing games such as Battlefield 3. While playing Battlefield 3 with maxed out settings I get 38 fps and only use 55% of the gpu and only 60% of the cpu per core. When I turn down the graphics setting all it does is turn down the gpu usage. On the lowest setting 46 fps average but only use 38% of the gpu. I have already turned off v-sync. This problem does not occur in BioShock Infinite where on maxed out settings i get 100+ fps and it uses 99% of gpu. Does anyone know how to fix this.

I have a Ryzen 5 2600, gtx 1060, and 16gb 3200 ram. I've come back to the game recently and I noticed that in this game my gpu usage is only at 1-2% and my ram and cpu percentages are both pretty high. I'm even on all low settings trying to achieve 144fps and I also have a good amount of times where the frames just freeze for a second or two. If someone could tell me how to get Modern Warfare to use my gpu instead of my cpu and ram that would be great. Also if the problem is my gpu, I was thinking of upgrading up to a 1660 super pretty soon. Thanks for any kind of help. :) (P.S. is the 1660 Super a good gpu to upgrade to from 1060 do I need something better)
