Hi all, Currently I'm going through a selection of case fans to increase the airflow in it and as well bring down the noise level. I'm rocking a Fractal Design Meshify 2 Compact with OEM fans. 1 x 120mm in the back for pull and 2 x 140 in front for push. They all seem to be quiet but doesn't move air as much as I'd like to. I'm looking for 5 fans in total (1 x 120mm in back and 4 x 140mm for front and top) for best cooling and quiet case overall. I'll be arranging them so that 2 x 140mm on front will be pushing, 2 x 140mm on top and 120mm in back will be pulling. Also, I'm looking for black fans as I'm keeping an all black theme inside the case. If I could get some suggestions and critiques I'd appreciate it. Also open to other suggestions. Hi there, As i was planning my first build back in 2014-15 i got tremendous help by a reviewpage+forum called silentpcreview.com. Unfortunatly the original powers that were, left, and the page got bougth up. Now its a shell of its former self. It was a very awesome community though, and the focus on low-noise builds and components was very good, so I was just curious to hear if there are other SPCR users hanging out here, and if you are hoping that the LTT lab is going to reignite a focus on quiet builds and components? Hi Peoples, (3 Pin Fans) does anybody know which way is best to connect the low noise cables (LNC) that come with when using multiple fans with splitterl... when I connect 3 fans with splitter to the mainboard the rpm's look right and if I insert 1 LNC cable between MB and splitter the rpm's look all weird running from 0 to tens of thousands of rpm's !!!!.... I have not tried using 3 LNC cables one for each fan do to limited space in the cable shrouts... does anybody know if this matters ??? thanks for the help Joe

Hi guys, I am currently on the hunt for a new cooling solution for my system. My system has a Intel Core(TM) i5 6600k with a GeForce 1060 from Palit. I currently have a 240mm Antec all-in one liquid cooler in my system which performs very well even under load. I am not a major overclock and don't often clock my CPU very high. I will occasionally do som light overclocking to get some extra oomph out of my CPU but this is not something that is common for me. What I am looking for is a cooling solution that will perform well but be quiet. I don't need complete silence but I do want my system to be quiet enough so that it won't bother me (I know this is all very highly subjective) I have a microphone fairly close to my system and would like the noise level to not be to intrusive. I commonly use this system for gaming and live streams so I would like it's noise levels to be quiet during gaming loads. I would really appreciate some help in choosing a cooler for my build. I am not averse to either air or liquid cooling but I do not want to create a custom water cooling loop as this is not something I am comfortable with. I would also like the cooler to look good and fit my all black build as I do have a glass window. My budget is fairly flexible as long as the cost is nothing too crazy so I am open to any and all suggestions. I would very much prefer suggestions that are based on personal experience Thank you in advance for any assistance

Hello, I've decided and been recommended to purchase the NZXT Kraken X61 AIO liquid cooler, see here. However, upon researching the product it appears the fans are too loud YT VIDEO (@3.30). I've decided that I'll choose 2x Corsair Air Series AF140, see here to replace the fans on the radiator. Do you believe this will be a better alternative and has anyone here personally used the AF140 and has some suggestions. Thanks for taking the time to read and comment.

Hi! I have some low-speed fan adapters (the ones that decrease fan speed) and I am wondering, do they work combined with PWM (from the fan connectors on the motherboard)? I have 2 "1200 rpm" adapters and 2 "1600 rpm" adapters, got them with 2 Cooler Master JetFlo fans. And I have two 12V to 9V adapters. Each of them uses a resistor to decrease the voltage. And I've got 1 or 2 Molex to 7V fan adapters (self-made thanks to Linus). The problem is, I use the CM JetFLo 120mm fans on my CPU cooler (in push-pull) and they aren't that silent because of a reason. The reason is, the CPU fan header can go from 20% to 100% but the case fan headers can go only from 40% to 100%. And when I use both fans at 40% it's too noisy for me while browsing etc (I don't mind the sound while gaming). Would PWM work combined with the adapters, that it decreases the fan speeds further? For example, would PWM cause the FAN that is limited (by the adapter) to 1600rpm at 12V (from the header) have less rpm on 4.8V (from the fan header)? I believe it should work (I remember the principles of electrical engineering), but I haven't tested it. Some claim it would limit the fans to always work on 1200rpm od 1600rpm, but that makes no sense to me, since it can't be the same to have 12V from the header or 6V.

Hi guys, I've recently got a Corsair 750D, and this is included with 3x AF140L case fans (I believe they're a lesser version of the AF140). I'm just looking into making them quieter as for some reason I can't from my motherboard (it's only a cheap Gigabyte, and doesn't offer very good control over the fan headers). Would I be able to use these Noctua adapters with the fans? I know it says on their website not to use on fans that draw more than 3W of power, and the AF140L's draw 3.6W (12V x 0.3A), but is it really that much of a problem? Low noise adapters don't seem to be that readily available for some reason, plus these ones look really nice given that they're braided. Can anyone help please? Thanks

Hi there everyone need your help on a little something just recently gone custom water cooling on my pc and just wondering what would be the best fans to use on a 30mm radiator, I've seen the EK Vardar 2200rpm or 1850rpm, also looking for two front fans for intake on my case don't know if i need to make a change but maybe the aerocool ones need to go and get something a little better. thanks guys.

I wanted to add some of the finishing touches to my current rig (cough, after 7 months), and I was wondering what I should get in the way of LED strips for my NZXT Phantom 410 - Black, as well as some very low noise fans to replace the OEM corsair fans that come with the H100i. As a side note the color scheme of the rig is the very original ROG red and black. Was also wondering if someone was willing to have some input on my other post for a new Slim HTPC I need to build in the next few weeks.

Hello everyone im going to buy either a 500r or a 600t and will replace their fans. So my fan options are: Nexus real silent, NZXT Performance fans, Gelid Fn sx12, scythe slipstreams, Silverstone AP 120, and the enermax tb silence ( these fans are for airflow). And for rads im thinking o some noctua's nf f12 or maybe some GT. Note that the airflow fans i listed above have decent price.
