Hey there everyone, I'm currently looking for a decent TV or Monitor which will purely be used with a Fire TV Stick and occasionally my Nintendo Switch when docked. I don't watch any regular Television channels, so I'm unsure if purchasing a Television would be worth it in the first place. Currently, I use a 1080p Philips TV from 2012 with 3 bright dots. I don't think trying to fix a 2012 TV that was considered "budget" back in that decade is worth it, haha. It doesn't need to be high refresh rate, low response time or anything like that. I will mainly use it to watch YouTube/Twitch at night and sometimes use my Switch docked (which I only play Pokémon and Animal Crossing on…). Some half decent colour accuracy would be appreciated. Does not need to be "smart" as I will use my Fire TV Stick Does not inbuilt-speakers as I will hook up external ones. As 80% of the time I use it as background ambiance like playing a 24/7 fireplace stream, something like "ambilights" would be cool but no needed. Being able to control it (volume & source input) is preferred. I live in The Netherlands. Requirements: Budget is 280euro Between 28 - 32 inch (larger won't fit) 50Hz+ would be great.. What do you guys think?

So I've been building a workstation rig on the cheap, however I've run into a problem where the battery and motherboard use the old BTX form factor rather than standard ATX, but rather than trying to hack up a case to mod it for BTX, I'd much rather work with a company (or an individual) who can do it professionally. Does Anyone have any leads on someone to work with for this?

I've been using an asus zenfone max pro m1 for the past 3 years, been very satisfied with it's performance and features, but I need a phone which supports HDMI out via usb-c. In terms of features I'm looking for, Stock android or low/no bloatware, Expandable storage, USB-C OTG compatibility Large battery (5000mah+) , A decent camera, Gorilla glass and general smoothness and ease of use. Being water resistant is a plus but not required. Most of my work is done on my PC and my phone is mainly an auxillary device so something in the same price range will be fine.

Hey there, traveler! I've been looking for a new keyboard for a while, maybe you could help me out. Must have: - Wireless - Portable, but not tiny (Bonus: Carry Case) - Numpad - Dark room capable (Lit keys, yo - Bonus: Full RGB) - QWERTZ Layout Also in the same package, if possible: - Multi-Device (preferably with 2.4 dongle AND BT built in) - Uses proper batteries instead of built in rechargeable - Mechanical (non-clicky) I've had high hopes for the X-1 from kickstarter, but they don't intend on making QWERTZ layout. So, RIP. Others always lack one thing or the other, too! Plz help. *Addendum: If it's missing one of the things, still, suggest it. Because I'm having a feeling that I'll have to make a compromise here, and would like to know those options then, too. My wallet is ready! Thx.

Hi, i'm looking for a raw display (like the ones you'd use for a Rapsberry, without a fancy casing, hinges etcc). The only requirements are 1080p and really good brightness, so that it can be seen outside in a summer day. I don't care about color accuracy, anything that isn't black and white will do. I don't care about refresh rate, even 1hz would be fine. For context, it'll be used to show maps and such when playing D&D. I'm working on a custom pc case out of wood, it's wider than it's tall, and the display would be on the top plate. I'd prefer it to have hdmi/displayport/vga for video and usb for touch input to be connected directly to the pc without weird adapters. If there's something similar but without touch interface i'd still be interested.

Hi Guys n Girls, I need help. I'm looking for a new game to get into, but i'm really picky. So il break this down.. Games i've played a lot of: (In order of most played - Top = Most): - World of Warcraft (Horde - Hunter - Over 400 days played since launch. Raid Leader, Class Leader, Guild Master). - Battlefield 1 (I'm the one who sits in a tank with a high k/dr). - Anno 1404: Venice (It's good to build up, but not to start all over again). - Cities: Skylines. - GTAV. - Sim City 4k. - Angry Birds - Play this a lot recently, slowly losing the will to live lol. - Burnout Paradise - The Turing Test. Completed it. But not sure it's my thing. What i'm currently looking for in a game: (Top being more important): - Something where I can build on. Where I can log on, contribute towards my character / profile. (e.g. Used to spend several hours a day mining in Warcraft). - Decent / Modern Graphics. (I love old games like Zool, Cannon Fodder, C&C etc, but now into shiny new games). - HUGE maps. I love games that have large maps. - Strategy games. - Futuristic is nice, but not a must. - Using the ASDW keys or just the mouse if i get bored. - Not bothered about story lines. - I like games with decent A.i, but not when it's brutal. Games i'm considering playing: EvE Online - Played a little before but it seemed like a big learning curve. Star Citizen - Have the impression that SC is a 'pay to play' game. And that there isn't enough content to keep me occupied (?). Games that I don't want to play: - Dota. Don't really think i'd get into it. - ARK. Brother plays this, it's ok, but not for me. - I have the following games, i've played them, but not loads. Skyrim, The Witcher: WH, Euro Truck Simulator, No Man's Sky and Deus Ex HR. I'm on both Steam and Origin Premium. Side note of things i'm into at the moment: - Watching LMG videos. Not just saying that cause i'm on the LTT forum. I'm realy enjoying them at the mo. (Dennis cracks me up lol). - Watching Strange Parts on YT. Love to watch Scotty talking about electronics, factory tours etc. - Electronics. Learning how to repair tablets / mobiles. - I also love to watch Joe Robinet episodes on YT. (Bushcrafter / Camping etc). - I love to fly my drone (Mavic Pro). - I do have a fair amount of spare time. I have a decent enough PC (spec is on my profile) and i'm looking into building a new rig. So spec isn't any issue. Suppose I could have just asked if anyone knows a good strat game? but wheres the fun in that, and, it took me away from f*ckin Angry Birds! lol Thanks, Dragonfyr Edit: Off to sleep now so il check this later.

I'm looking for a gaming mouse that is at around €30 that would suit me great for CS and other shooters. I was looking at a Steelseries rival 110 but I feel that it won't suit my grip style (palm grip). I am currently using the CMSTORM Devastator mouse (love this mouse to bits) but recently I have noticed that it spins out quite a bit so it was high time for an upgrade. I am open to other suggestions at about €10 extra but I would like to keep it at around €30. Thanks for ye're help, Cabre_01

So, a buddy of mine gave me a bunch of old pc parts he had taking up space in his garage. After going though everything I found out that one of the mobos in a box littered with old green pcb mobos had an older AMD cpu in it. A google search of the part number turned up a part name (Phenom II x2 550 B.E.) upon reading more about this chip I found out that this could possibly have 2 cores that have been untouched for god knows how long of this processors life. The mobo it's seated in, as it turns out, is an old Dell OEM board. Needless to say it doesn't support core unlocking nor overclocking. Is it even possible, and if so how do I go about, finding an old AM3 core unlocking micro-atx board and yes I would really like it to be a micro-atx as I already have this system put back in a case and have it running. I would really like to keep this set up and just replace the board. I've already checked for compatible board part numbers and done some searching and cannot find anything on any of them, other than listings on Newegg that are out of stock. I've even checked Aliexpress to no avail. Am I asking too much? What are my chances of finding a board like this on the cusp 2020? Please HELP!!!!!

I want to build a PC in sometime in the next weeks and I already decided to wait until Broadwell-E comes out, but I currently don't know, what graphics card to buy. What I want to do: - Video editing in 4k - Gaming in 4k (high details, etc.) - 3D animation - Game development Now you maybe know, why I want to wait until Broadwell-E. Because I want 8 cores especially for video editing and 3D rendering. But I still have to consider what graphics card is suitable for all that different things. I also don't know if I should wait until Pacal and buy a Pascal card.

Hi my name is Erick I am new to this so please be patint. I am in the process of building a desk to put a system or two inside , having some design questions and also need help to find parts if they exist. Dual 140 and 120 fan covers with dust filters , motherboard trys with pci and I/O sheild , hdd racks ,ssd racks and long fan screws . The only motherboard trays I could find was at Lian li , is there not some other option than breaking down an old case ? The fan covers , I have never seen dual ones for sale yet only on cases that have them.Easy and clean racks would also be nice . I would also like to ask if anyone thinks a desk made for p.c is a possible to ever be in demand , lian li and red harbinger are the only two I could find . What about a wood esthetic , or something that was more up to the builder to modify , the way they want too .the previous mentioned two are glass and steel or aluminum, with the layout somewhat already decided as far as components layout goes . What about a nice design that could allow the builder to move things around to appeal to their own needs . Just some thoughts , would love to hear what you guys think.

Hello guys, Arkhantak here I recently discovered linus' youtube channel and i really liked it, next year i'm leaving my house, i will have to move in order to go to a university in a different city, that means I'll have to leave empty handed, the CPU is staying home for my younger brother to use it. I'm planning to buy a brand new Notebook/ultrabook that will meet my needs, I came here in order to ask for guiadence, I'm from Chile and there's a really cool website that works kinda like a... hummm... "database" ? You can take a look at every chilean stores' offerts in just a few seconds. Solonotebooks My budget is around $600 to $700 usd ----> $350.000 to $430.000 chilean pesos I came across this particular notebook ( ASUS X455LD-WX006D // Core I5 4210U // 8GB ram DDR3 // Nvidia Geforce 820M (2gb) // 1TB hard drive) $ 420.000 CLP --> $680 usd) and i would like to ask your opinion about it, wether you like the brand or not, what would you change, if you could find a better one to suit my needs: I'd like to be able to play a few games, nothing fancy, mainly Chivalry, GTA IV, Metro, LoL, i don't mind playing those at low settings, most notebooks come with an intel HD 4000-4400 graphics card, is it a good one? i have read a few benchmarks, it's just an entry lvl card isn't it? Thanks for your time Edit: By the way, if i didn't post this in the correct place, please let me know, so i can move this thread Edit 2: Added the notebook's specs and it's price

Hi all. I am looking to update my current case, (a Corsair Carbide 300R), to a case that can house an NZXT Kraken X61 or similar. I am having trouble with this however, it has to be a mid-tower case, have a window, and at least one 5.25" bay as I still use an optical drive. The only one that I can seem to find here in Australia is the Corsair Carbide Air 540, but its lack of 3.5" bays is a bit of a deal breaker. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Cheers

I've had the logitech g35 headset for 2 years now and its time to replace them. The leather stuff on the ear cups is coming off and its just old, no big deal. I really like the Razer Kraken 7.1's but the round ear cups hurt my ears because my ear stick out a bit more than most peoples. the logitechs were comfy because they had a large oddly shaped ear-cup. But I do absolutely love the sound quality of the 7.1's. Anyone know of a nice gaming headset (with mic) around that quality with 7.1 surround that does not have round ear-cups?

Hi, I'm looking for a 24 Inch monitor. Specs are 1920x1080, VESA Mount and thin bezel as I plan on getting 2 of the same and hoisting up with monitor stands. IPS Panel would be nice too Around £150 budget for this. Please don't just reply with a monitor you just found by searching "24 Inch Monitor" on Amazon as I have obviously already done this. I'm looking for someone who has had experience with the monitor they are suggesting, or have read good reviews of said monitor. Thanks, Jacob

I was able to get a free year subscription to VMware Workstation 8 through my college. What I liked about it was the Autostart vm feature, which I use to control my freeNAS box to automatically boot when ever I turn on my computer. Is there any other type 2 hypervisor that has an autostart feature? I was looking at virtualbox since it was free but have not seen anything that suggest that there is an autostart feature for VMs. Ideally would like to stick with a type 2 hypervisor however if you are convincing as to why I should switch to a type 1 hypervisor, I might change my mind.
